Chapter 42: I Know You Are Not A Nice Person Yang Jia.

Within six hours Fu Mingze arrived at the hospital, he immediately rushed to Sang Xiu when he saw her and asked "How is she?"

Sang Xiu smiled sadly when she saw him and said: "The doctor said the surgery was successful but they will need to still observe her and if she doesn’t wake up within seventy-two hours then the possibility of her falling into a coma is high, we can only start visiting her tomorrow."

Fu Mingze sighed in relief, at least she was alright. He was shocked when Sang Xiu hugged him and said "Thank you for saving my daughter. If she had never met you then she would be dead, Bai Jian would never have assigned someone to always follow her and he would never have given her his blood, so thank you for coming into my Meiyi’s life." 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖

Fu Mingze hugged her back and waited still she calmed, he gently separated himself from her and said "I’m the one who should be grateful for her coming into my life. Where is Bai Jian?"

Sang Xiu cleaned the tears from her face and said "He was here to donate some blood to the hospital in case they needed it for an emergency."

Fu Mingze nodded and said, "Stay here, I will go look for him."

Sang Xiu nodded and watched as he left.

.....

With the help of a nurse, Fu Mingze found Bai Jian lying on a hospital bed, the nurse who had just finished drawing his blood nodded at him and left.

Sensing his presence Bai Jian opened his eyes and seated upright, he looked at Fu Mingze with a smile and said "Wow, you look terrible."

Fu Mingze chuckled and walked forward to hug him "Thank you, thank you so much for saving her."

Bai Jian laughed softly and said, "It’s nothing compared to how you saved me. Fu Mingze, you will always be my brother and you don’t just expect me to watch as the love of my brother’s life is in danger, right?"

Fu Mingze separated himself from Bai Jian as a tear slipped from his eyes.

Bai Jian was surprised as he said "Damn! You are crying. You never cry, you love her that much?"

Fu Mingze smiled as he wiped his tears and said "I love her a lot."

"Then I’m glad that I saved her."

...

Three hours later, Yang Meiyi was allowed visitors but only one person at a time could visit her. Sang Xiu practically dashed into the room when the doctor gave the go-ahead to see her, fresh wave of tears escaped her eyes when she saw her daughter lying lifelessly on the bed with so many machines connected to her. Her baby looked so fragile and as she walked closer to hold her hand, she said "Mommy is sorry for not being able to protect you. Forgive me please." Sang Xiu spent an extra thirty minutes with her before leaving.

When Sang Xiu came out of the ward, she saw Fu Mingze making a call and smiled at him.

Fu Mingze ended his call and said to Sang Xiu "You should get some rest, I will stay here with her."

"But...."

"I will call you if anything happens, you need to get some sleep aunt Sang Xiu."

Sang Xiu smiled and nodded "Call me immediately she wakes up or if anything else happens."

"I will." Fu Mingze said and watched as she left, he looked at the door Sang Xiu came out from and took a deep breath before entering.

Seeing her this way made his heartache, and once again he felt like he couldn’t breathe, he walked closer to her and kissed her forehead as he whispered "Thank you for being alive, I love you."

.....

Sang Xiu got home and saw Yang Jia sitting on the couch playing with her phone, she saw as Yang Jia glanced at her before moving her gaze back to her phone. Sang Xiu wanted to ignore her but she couldn’t help but ask "Didn’t your father tell you that Meiyi is in the hospital? Didn’t he tell you that she needed blood?"

Yang Jia stopped what she was doing and looked at Sang Xiu as she said "Blood? But why should I give her my blood, why should I participate in saving the daughter of the woman who killed my mother? Do I look that nice to you?"

"No, not at all. Even though you are nice to others, I know you are not a nice person, Yang Jia. You are just good at hiding your real self and honestly, thank you for not giving Meiyi’s blood, it would have truly been a disgusting thing for your blood to be in my Meiyi."

After saying her piece Sang Xiu took one more glance at Yang Jia before walking away.

Yang Jia clenched her phone in anger and suddenly hit it on the floor with a scream, her grandmother immediately came out of her room and asked "What happened?"

Grandma Yang saw the phone on the floor and was about to ask the same question when she heard Yang Jia chanting "I hate her, I hate that woman."

Grandma Yang knew ’that woman’ had to be Sang Xiu so she said "Then get rid of her, do what your mother couldn’t do and get rid of her."

Yang Jia looked at her grandmother with a frown and said "I’m not my parents, so don’t even try to manipulate me. I do only what I want to do not what others want me to do, you are my grandmother but stay within your limit. I am Yang Jia and not one of your pawns. Goodnight Grandma."

Grandma Yang watched in anger as Yang Jia walked away from her. How dare that girl speak to her in such a manner? It’s a shame Yang Meiyi did not die, perhaps that woman would have stopped being so arrogant if her daughter had died. She cannot just depend on her son and that wretched granddaughter of hers, she must find a way to kick that mother and daughter out of the Yang family.
