Everywhere hurts and why was her head banging? She felt as if drums were being played in her head, why does it hurt so much?

"Meiyi?" A deep voice called.

Someone was calling her? That voice sounded so familiar, it sounded like her Mingze, but he was on a business trip so he couldn’t possibly be him, right?

Yang Meiyi groaned in pain as she opened her eyes softly, she could hear the beeping of a machine, looking at the white ceiling above her she wondered where she was and that was when she felt his hand gently caressing her cheek as he whispered "You are alright, you are safe."

Yang Meiyi slowly turned her head to the voice and whispered "Mingze?"

Fu Mingze brushed her hair gently and whispered "I’m here."

"Am I alive?" Yang Meiyi asked softly.

"Of course you are baby."

"It hurts"

Fu Mingze smiled and kissed her hands as he said "I know, but it will get better. Give me a minute to go call the doctor."

Yang Meiyi wanted to nod but couldn’t, she felt as if she couldn’t move and the only activity she could do was talk. She watched as Fu Mingze left and came back after a minute with a middle-aged man who smiled warmly at her. Seeing the white coat on him, Meiyi could figure out that he was a doctor.

The doctor asked her some questions which she answered honestly and he assured her that she was going to be alright before leaving with Fu Mingze, she wondered what the doctor wanted to tell him but couldn’t tell her.

As soon as they left, the door opened again revealing her mother, who immediately rushed towards her, Sang Xiu wanted to hug her but held herself back and said "You are never driving again, and as soon as you get better just know that you are grounded."

Ignoring her mother’s words, Yang Meiyi said "You look like you haven’t slept in days."

Sang Xiu scoffed and said "And whose fault is it? Are you alright? Does it hurt too much, did the doctor give you something for the pain?"

Yang Meiyi nodded and said, "It hurts a lot Mom. When I was trapped in the car, I was so scared, I was scared I wasn’t going to see both you and Fu Mingze again, I was very scared Mom."

Sang Xiu wiped the tears that kept coming out from her eyes and walked forward to hold her hand’s as she said "You don’t have to be scared again. Mommy is here and I will always be here to take care of you."

Hearing her words, Yang Meiyi burst into tears and kept crying as her mother patted her hand gently until she fell asleep. Meiyi opened her eyes again and was glad when the pain in her body had lessened, she frowned when she realized she was alone and was about to go back to sleep when the door opened, revealing a well-dressed Fu Mingze.

"You are awake." Fu Mingze said as he placed the cooler he bought on the table that was beside her bed. He bought a chair forward and sat beside her as he said "You should eat something. Your mom made you some porridge and asked that I bring it to you."

"I’m sorry." Yang Meiyi suddenly said.

Fu Mingze looked at her and asked "For what?"

"Because of me, you ended your business trip early. Did you lose a lot of money because of it?" Yang Meiyi said with guilt.

Fu Mingze nodded and said, "I lost a lot of money, how do you plan on making up for it?".

Yang Meiyi sat upright and played with her hair as she said "I... I am going to work hard and spend the rest of my life taking care of you."

Fu Mingze chuckles softly and says, "You already made up for it."

"I did? How?" Yang Meiyi asked in surprise.

"You stayed alive." Fu Mingze said with a smile.

Yang Meiyi smiled and looked at the cooler "Will you feed me?"

"Of course."

After eating, Yang Meiyi looked at Fu Mingze and realized that he had lost some weight, she must get better so that she would be able to take care of him. Looking at him as he covered her properly with the bedsheet, a new decision came into her heart.

"You should get some sleep, the doctor said you need more rest." Fu Mingze said as he sat beside her.

Yang Meiyi shook her head and said "I don’t want to sleep, I want to tell you something very important."

Seeing the seriousness on her face, Fu Mingze asked "What is it?"

"I don’t want to get engage anymore. Rather than getting engaged, I want to get married to you."

Fu Mingze smiled and said "But we will get married, after you are done with school, we will be getting married."

Yang Meiyi shook her head and said "I don’t want to wait for that long. I want to be your wife, right now if possible or don’t you want that?"

"Neither aunt Sang Xiu nor your father will agree for us to get married this soon."

"They don’t have to know, please Mingze, say yes."

Fu Mingze looked at her silently for a few seconds before capturing her lips, he kissed her fervently and whispered "We are doing this the wrong way. I’m the one who should propose to you."

"I don’t care if you propose to me or I to you as long as you are mine. So, will you marry me, President Fu?"

Fu Mingze laughed softly and kissed her again briefly, he placed his forehead on hers and whispered "Yes. But...."

"Why is there a but?" Yang Meiyi immediately asked.

Fu Mingze laughed softly at her immediate reply and said "We have to wait until you are better. After you get better, then we’ll go get our marriage certificate but the engagement will still hold. We will do a secret wedding for now and a huge one after you graduate."

Yang Meiyi smiled and said, "Does that mean we are going to get married twice?"

Fu Mingze nodded and said, "I want everyone to know that you are mine and please for the second marriage, let me be the one to propose, agreed?"

Yang Meiyi smiled brightly as she said "Agreed."

Fu Mingze caressed her cheek gently as he whispered "I love you so much Meiyi."

Yang Meiyi pecked his lips and said "I love you more."
