Chapter 77: Chapter 77: The Lurking Mantis

The lightning-fast thrust of the Ten Thousand Urgent Fire Finger was too quick!

Nero reacted purely by instinct, throwing a punch to block it.

But he had no confidence in stopping this finger technique, which could pierce through an eighth-grade treasured sword.

Yet, he had no choice but to try.

"Crack!"

As it turned out, he couldn’t block it. Instead, his fist technique, meant to counter the finger strike, was overpowered by it!

This was no ordinary finger technique.

It was the Three Finger!

Enhanced by the Black Fiend Gloves, its power was even more terrifying.

Nero felt as though his punch had struck the tip of a sword. Even though he was at the Magus Late-Stage Blood Refining, with bones as tough as iron, his fist was pierced by that finger strike.

A bloody hole opened in his hand, making it look as if his fist had been split in two by a sword, with fragments of bone mixed with blood spraying outward.

"Ah!"

A piercing scream echoed through the forest.

Those watching from the sidelines had already retreated far away when the fight began. Seeing Nero’s fist pierced by Aizen’s strike, the sound of breaking bones and the gory sight left many trembling and weak-kneed.

Georgie shouted angrily, sweeping his sword toward Aizen once more.

The icy greatsword in his hand had regained some warmth, and the chilling sensation in his body was suppressed by his powerful inner strength.

Nero attempted to retreat, but Aizen had no intention of letting him escape.

With his palms moving like waves, layer upon layer, his strikes stirred the air into vortices with his overwhelming inner strength.

One palm strike burst forth with a "bang" and directly shattered Georgie’s incoming sword sweep.

The deafening sound was like an explosion of molten metal.

The ferocity of the energy blasted countless withered and rotting leaves into the air, and the strong winds pulled people’s hair straight back.

Georgie felt as though his sword had struck a mountain. His hands went numb, his tiger’s mouth ached, and his heart trembled in fear.

He prided himself on his Overlord Sword , with its unrivaled ferocity, yet he had never encountered a peer who could parry his blade barehanded. The sheer power of this palm strike was terrifying.

This was not mere physical strength—it was the result of formidable inner strength.

Aizen’s inner strength was shockingly strong, likely nearing twenty years of cultivation.

In that instant, Aizen had shattered Georgie’s sword sweep and darted forward, slamming a palm toward Nero’s chest.

The surging palm wind left Nero breathless and desperate.

With no room to retreat, his weakened state and injured right hand made escape impossible. In his panic, he stumbled and backed into a tree. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂

"It’s over!"

This thought flashed in his mind as, in his desperation, his sleeve shook.

"Snap! Snap!"

With two sharp sounds, two black streaks shot toward Aizen’s face.

Hidden weapons!

The projectiles carried a nauseating stench, evidence of their being laced with deadly poison.

Who says righteous disciples always act honorably? The way Nero wielded poisoned weapons showed just how adept he was at such underhanded methods!

Aizen’s heart tightened. He halted and dodged to the side. Behind him, Georgie cursed and hastily raised his sword to block.

"Clang! Clang!"

Sparks flew as the two projectiles were deflected.

Taking advantage of Aizen’s brief pause,Nero darted behind the tree and fled.

Aizen’s eyes turned cold—he couldn’t let Nero escape.

But at that moment, a shadow suddenly descended from the tree, lunging straight at Nero.

Both Aizen and Georgie were startled. Nero reacted quickly, dodging aside, but as he moved, another shadow swooped down.

"Slash!"

A blade flashed, and a spray of blood followed. A head spun through the air and fell to the ground.

The first shadow had been a tree branch, but the second was a person.

"Who’s there?" Georgie roared, his anger and fear evident in his eyes. Although Aizen was just five steps away, Georgie already felt like retreating.

Aizen was equally surprised, but when he saw who it was, he let out a cold snort.

The newcomer was none other than Three-Blade Georgie , who had taken advantage of Nero’s injury to finish him off.

"Heh heh heh... Junior Brother Aizen is indeed formidable. But let’s join forces to deal with Georgie first."

Georgie’s thin, monkey-like face twisted into a grin. His blade flashed, emitting a cold light sharper than moonlight, directly targeting Georgie .

"Take this!" Georgie’s eyes flashed as he flicked his sleeve, sending a sharp wind toward Lu’a before turning and fleeing without hesitation.

However, before he could move far,Aizen blocked his path with lightning speed.

Nero was already dead, but no matter what, Aizen would not let Georgie escape.

Georgie’s wrist trembled as his blade deflected the projectile, which turned out to be merely a copper coin. His gaze grew colder.

Seeing the unfavorable situation, Georgie tried to flee, but how could Aizen allow him to escape?

Georgie ’s Overlord Sword technique was indeed powerful—much stronger than Nero, who hadn’t been able to fully unleash his strength before being severely injured. Georgie ’s inner strength had accumulated over more than ten years, and though it couldn’t matchAizen’s, his swordsmanship was skilled and precise. Its broad sweeps and integrated offense and defense compensated for his lack of raw power.

Killing this Overlord Swordsman in a short time would be difficult for Aizen.

However, he wasn’t alone. Georgie was also attacking the Overlord Swordsman with him.

Georgie, known as Three-Blade , wasn’t called this because he could kill someone in just three strikes but because he had three unique blade techniques. These three techniques were his own creations, derived and perfected from the foundational teachings of the Demonic Blade . They were a blend of cunning, ruthlessness, and domination.

The two of them didn’t fight the Overlord Swordsman with their full strength, wary of a desperate counterattack.

Even so, their coordinated strikes gradually wore down the Overlord Swordsman, leaving several wounds on him.

As the fight progressed, the Overlord Swordsman’s movements became visibly slower. Aizen seized the opportunity and struck with a powerful palm to his chest, the Extreme Sun Palm.

The immense force penetrated his chest, sending a chilling energy through his body.

With a pained cry, the Overlord Swordsman’s face turned crimson. He spat out blood that emanated a frigid aura and staggered back several steps before collapsing in despair.

Having taken a direct hit from the Profound Nether Palm, his internal organs were shattered. The chilling palm force permeated his body, and not even the Minor Rejuvenation Pill could save him now.

"Junior Brother Aizen, what a brilliant move! That palm strike was truly exceptional!"

Watching the Overlord Swordsman’s lifeless body hit the ground, Lu’a laughed heartily and complemented Aizen. Yet, as he spoke, his blade suddenly swung toward Aizen’s waist without warning.

The abrupt attack was utterly unexpected.

The blade light surged forward like water bursting through a dam.

Aizen, hearing the sound of the blade slicing through the air, immediately tensed.

Though surprised, Aizen didn’t panic. He had been wary of Lu’a ever since killing the Overlord Swordsman. The moment Lu’a struck, Aizen sensed it.

As the blade light swept toward him, Aizen flipped his palms and turned to counter with a strike.

His two palms transformed into four, and the four palms seemed to merge into one.

This was the third killing technique of the Profound Nether Palm—Four Elephants as One
