Treasure Hunting System: The Ocean Conquerer-Chapter 739 - 329 Blooming Celestial Flower_2
The light was gentle, changing with the colors of the flowers. It seemed the dazzling radiance wouldn't fade anytime soon. The vibrant, colorful lights permeated the surroundings, instantly creating an atmosphere reminiscent of a grand festival night.
A smile involuntarily appeared on Alka's face.
"You seem quite happy. Did it remind you of something?" Chadite asked from beside him.
"Hmm, perhaps a memory from the past," Alka replied.
The kind of dazzling, vibrant scene where night was as bright as day. How long had it been since he'd experienced it? Seeing such a similar moment now, nostalgia naturally washed over him.
Just then, melodious music drifted in, accompanied by the stirring beat of drums.
Everyone looked towards the ceremonial stage.
Many Church Staff dressed in robes ascended the stage.
The center of the stage was adorned like a flowerbed, filled with all sorts of rare and precious flowers. That spot was the brightest source of light in the area.
Then, dozens of strong men pushed carts into the area where everyone was gathered. The crowd parted, making a path.
Alka watched.
Groups of two or three strong men were pushing wide containers, each about a meter high. These containers were entwined with verdant vines, from which fresh green branches sprouted. Inside, each container was filled with irregular brown granules, each roughly the size of a thumb.
The containers were pushed past Alka and the others, heading towards the base of the ceremonial stage.
"Those are seeds! The things inside are seeds," Julia said, looking at the granules in one of the containers.
"Seeds?" Jason sounded puzzled. "Is this some kind of ritual?"
The crowd didn't quite understand either and could only wait where they stood for the ceremony to proceed.
So far, the towering Celestial Flower in the distance had still not begun to bloom. This meant the ceremony hadn't truly started. Therefore, they didn't feel overly nervous. After all, as long as the main event was yet to begin, the most critical phase hadn't arrived.
With curious eyes, the crowd watched as one of the large, pot-like containers was pushed to the area below the ceremonial stage.
A Church Staff member stood on the stage, looking at the crowd below.
"People of the Flower Child!" he announced. "Take the flower seeds. Inscribe your symbols upon them, leave your faith. The flower seeds will carry your hopes, your faith, to the Flower Fairy. May it flourish!"
The believers below began chanting prayers to the Flower Fairy.
Once the chanting concluded, the residents and visitors in the crowd started to go up in an orderly fashion to retrieve the flower seeds.
"Should we get one too?" Pororo asked the group.
"Of course! Why not? It's a great way to be part of it," Jason said with a smile.
Soon, it was their turn. Each of them picked up a flower seed.
A Church Staff member standing beside the large pot of seeds looked at Alka's group. He gently explained to them, "You can use Magic Power to imprint your wishes onto it."
Hearing this, the companions nodded.
Those words were clearly meant for them. 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚
Soon, almost all the flower seeds in the designated pot had been taken, and everyone present held a seed in their hands.
"Let us begin!" declared the Church Staff member on the stage.
As his words fell, the faithful cupped the seeds in their palms, closed their eyes, and began to pray.
The fragrance of flowers started to spread from all directions, and petals began to dance and swirl around them. These petals fluttered above the area where everyone was gathered, weaving through the crowd.
"It's truly beautiful," Chadite said, looking up at the sky.
Amidst the soft, multicolored lights, the floral fragrance, and the dancing petals, it was indeed an enchanting sight.
"Look at their chests!" Jason exclaimed, pointing towards the people nearby.
On many of the residents standing beside them, the flowers they had pinned to their clothes or tucked in their hair began to bloom, though not every flower did. Still, quite a few people's flowers blossomed, and those who saw their own flowers open up beamed with radiant smiles.
"My flower bloomed! Oh, how lovely!" a young woman in a lavish dress exclaimed joyfully, watching the glistening black flower on her chest open.
Those whose flowers didn't bloom looked somewhat dejected and prayed even more devoutly, hoping their sincerity would allow them to imprint their wishes onto the seeds.
Under these circumstances, the flowers on Alka's and Chadite's chests bloomed, a faint yet unique floral scent wafting into their nostrils.
Besides theirs, Matilda's flower also bloomed on her chest. Seeing Matilda's flower open, the one on Pororo's chest blossomed in response. Even the flower Julia wore tucked behind her ear unfurled its petals.
"Why didn't mine bloom? Is it discriminating against me or something?" Jason grumbled, looking at the flower on his chest, which remained stubbornly closed.
Even as Jason complained, the gray flower on Juanlu's chest also bloomed.
"Maybe you should take a good look at that 'flower' of yours," Juanlu couldn't resist retorting.
Jason glanced down. "Oh. Right."
He chuckled awkwardly.
He'd already preserved the flower on his chest, turning it into a crystal. How could it possibly bloom now?
"So, does your flower symbolize anything special?" Jason asked. "Its blooming implies some kind of blessing, right?"
Hearing this, Juanlu shrugged. "How would I know? I just grabbed one at random."
"What a pity," Jason remarked.
As more flowers bloomed around them, countless people opened their cupped hands. The seeds nestled in their palms now bore various inscriptions.
