Treasure Hunting System: The Ocean Conquerer-Chapter 781 - 343: Exploring the Orange_2
At this moment, the spheres still maintained their ordinary form, not yet having opened their jaws into an attack mode.
"The three of them can help you attack enemies approaching you. Even if the enemies are Spiritual Bodies, they can still bite off a piece."
Alka looked at the three spheres floating beside him and nodded. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎
Juanlu then took out a biscuit and handed it to him.
"Eat it," Juanlu said. "It's a high-energy nutrition block. Although it doesn't taste great, it helps store Energy for rapid stamina recovery. However, this stored Energy is only accessible after an hour."
Alka nodded. He recalled they had eaten it before when Juanlu first developed it; indeed, it didn't taste great. It was kind of like eating wet algae freshly dug out from the soil.
Forcing down the peculiar taste, he swiftly shoved the biscuit into his mouth.
Nearby, Simon had already prepared patrol drones for underwater exploration, diving into the depths first. This time, he had prepared six drones that could monitor each other, and he operated them personally, aiming to get a clear view of the situation below.
Everyone waited for him to complete his exploration.
The six cone-shaped underwater exploration devices swiftly sank towards the seabed. They quickly descended. Only when they approached a depth of nearly 160 meters did their speed gradually slow, and they activated all detection devices to maximum. They maintained some distance from each other, allowing each drone to sense the status of the others. Then, they suddenly accelerated at the same time, diving deeper together.
During the onslaught, the drones were destroyed one after another, though this time not all simultaneously. Through their mutual observation feeds, Simon finally determined the exact number.
"There are a total of six," Simon reported. "I couldn't see what they are, but there are at least six. Be careful."
Alka nodded.
The Pearl he had previously acquired appeared in his hand, and he fastened it to his belt.
Following Pororo, Matilda, and Julia, he dived through the opening.
Upon diving into the water, Alka felt as if he could breathe air in the water just like on land. This experience was indeed interesting; even the water around him wasn't a lethal Element. His mouth seemed to have a barrier preventing water from entering.
Despite being in a pitch-black sea, Alka could clearly see his surroundings.
Not far away, countless intertwined vines formed a massive rope hanging straight down.
The four of them swam slowly downwards until their depth gauges indicated they had reached about 150 meters.
Pororo, Matilda, and Julia stopped at the target depth.
Alka turned his head to look at them. Matilda gently raised her hand, and 16 thin needles floated out, embedding themselves in Alka's body. These needles, embedded in various parts of his body, would heal him and counter adverse conditions at critical moments.
Julia closed her eyes. When she opened them again, they had turned blood-red. A coin appeared in her hand and began to flip, revealing a burning skull on one side. Scarlet patterns wreathed Alka's body.
Alka could feel his power growing stronger, and his sense of pain was dulled, giving him a reckless sort of fearlessness. He even felt a slight surge of bloodlust and savagery.
Then, Julia gently waved her hand. Pink Energy, combined with some Mirror shards, enveloped Pororo, Matilda, and Julia, instantly concealing them in the surroundings. Three strands of golden and silver Energy separated, encircling their heads and strengthening their soul defenses.
Watching the three nod, Alka began to dive alone, deeper and deeper. Two large crystal antlers had somehow sprouted from his head. Wild, deer-like markings also appeared on his face.
The closer he got to that region, the more intensely he could sense the hatred emanating from it. The intense emotion stung his skin, even through the seawater. Even the powerful Dark Vision Chadite had given him couldn't penetrate the dark film below. It wasn't true darkness, but a barrier formed by some kind of hateful Energy, separating the inner and outer realms.
This must be what imprisoned the soul of the former Flower Fairy Saint here, hidden from everyone.
Taking a deep breath, Alka abruptly pierced through the film.
AAAAAAHHHHH!
A piercing scream assaulted his ears, desperately trying to torment his soul. Alka didn't feel the soul-piercing pain; instead, the frenzied screaming was making him agitated.
He turned to look around.
Gray-black mist pierced directly through his chest. The attack didn't leave physical wounds on his body; instead, his body temperature dropped rapidly. His stamina began to drain rapidly, and he could feel an icy Coldness seeping into his mind and soul.
A soul-targeting attack.
There were eight in total: eight peculiar soul monsters in tattered black robes, swimming manically through the water. They moved like arrows made of black mist, frantically weaving around. They continuously pierced through his body, attempting to attack his soul. In this water, their speed was like teleportation.
The three spheres circling Alka had transformed into red, open-mouthed monsters. They spun continuously, and with every bite, they tore off a piece of the mist, chewing on it. However, as they chewed, the spheres' biting speed visibly slowed; they too were unavoidably affected.
