Twin Reincarnation: Epics Of The Worldline-Chapter 351 A dragon-phoenix duo

[El’s POV: ]

’I want to kill that bastard...’

Though, sadly, even if I wanted to do it, no one in this Worldline is capable of actually destroying a offspring, and since the main body cannot be killed in any way, there is no actual way to defeat the parts of that main body present all across the Worldline.

’If the main body wishes for it, it will reincarnate that Body with their unfathomable powers.’

The offsprings are beings that were created by the Worldline itself, so they are essentially a part of the Worldline, an extension through which the Worldline does various things.

But that shit isn’t what I should be talking about.

[{ "How are you holding up, you bastard?" }]

[{ Hunh. Stupid master... }]

We left the two of them behind so that they could deal with the demonic humans and prevent anything too bad from happening.

And, they did well with the things that they were supposed to as well.

[{ "Tell me if it’s too much. I’m on my way already." }]

[{ Hump. We can deal with these bunch of weaklings on our own... but if you are coming here anyway, do it quickly." }]

’This tsuntsun bastard...’

They protected the other students during the evacuation process when there was no one to help them, dealt with the demonic human on their own without getting noticed by anyone, and they made sure they saved every single one of them since they knew death of even one of them would mean their doom.

And, though the headmaster had started transporting the students to the safe areas, there was no guarantee that the defence system of this island could have possibly managed to defend them all if an actual demon noble had been summoned here.

They did well with what they were supposed to do and thanks to them many of the students were saved, and thanks to them, many of our friends also did not meet the actual threats that they had been blocking since a while back.

[{ "Lucy is there. You can take a breather if you want." }]

They were working well from the shadows and they used as much power as possible even though they had nothing to gain when we weren’t even around.

’Their powers were also limited severely with us being on the other side.’

They couldn’t just exist in this world without us since they were beings of the special origin.

As a supernova and a being that could use the power of plausibility, the two of them were divinities that were bound to our own existence and were limited to this world only when the two of us were present there.

’That was also the reason they couldn’t be away from us for too long.’

They also had to stay in a certain distance around us so that they could maintain the connection with this world and their own origins.

’Their powers, authorities, skills, even the title effects were restricted severely.’

And that was why just staying away from us for too long was so exhausting for them that they had to rest for long hours in their marks after doing something like they did today.

’And they had even exerted a tremendous amount of energy throughout the time we were gone.’

They had to use either an extreme concentration of Mana or their own divine power, or the special powers that only the two of them possessed in this part of the Worldline.

And, even if it might be a simple sounding process— using some energy that already belongs to them- it was a very difficult task with their current state being nothing more than a little lizard with wings and a cute little round headed bird.

[{ Hump. We could have defeated them even without the help of you two. But since we received the order to protect the children and not obliterate the enemies, we weren’t doing what was the easiest thing in this world. }]

He was saying that with his limitless pride but, he was still only a dragon at the end of the day.

’He wasn’t an offspring of the Worldline.’

He certainly had an unlimited amount of Mana, but he was not someone that possessed unlimited stamina, or power, or pure strength to contend against beings that were contracted with demons that could even give a proper fight to the Higher gods famous throughout the Worldline.

’He might have been strong enough to play with them like they were toys back when he possessed his full powers, he was a supernova and a legitimate child of a direct offspring so he was stronger than My dumb Lucy bastard could imagine.’

They were strong, both of them were actually.

Especially with Anna having the ability to create things that weren’t supposed to exist in this part of the Worldline and edit parts of this world that one couldn’t not possibly even understand completely, the two of them were a pair that could have certainly fucked those demon bastard without losing even a breath.

’But the Dragon-phoenix duo was not in their perfect forms.’

The epic had given them more strength than they ever had, they had even levelled up a bunch after our raid at the sky island so they were pretty good with what they had right now.

’They weren’t as weak as they were when we found them initially.’

They were stronger and they had capabilities of Creation and Destruction.

’Sadly though, holding back a bunch of demonic bastards that were dead set on killing the children to summon the demons on this island was not an easy task.’

And the headmaster did his best to make sure they are screwed over even more by restricting what little powers they had.

’This was not a fun playtime to them anymore.’

They were fighting to keep either their own lives, or the lives of the enemies intent.’

But, had we been even a little late... the two of them might have had to take some unpleasant decisions.

’Though, thankfully, we made it in time...’

The second test that we had... the blue test where we fight those bunch of creatures in that forest made me realise a few things.

And, since we lost twice in a row... my head was not heating anymore.

’Even Lucy wasn’t too happy with the results.’

Two losses against artificial creatures that used nothing new that we did not know about.

They were stronger than us in terms of pure, raw powers but they weren’t strong enough to deal with us in the way that actually mattered.

’We could have defeated the two Nagas as well had we been a little more careful.’

There were my grand Magic and Ultimate Rune spells that I couldn’t use due to the lack of Mana and stamina, and Lucy couldn’t use the stronger parts of his Sword Dance either.

’We lost the first time against those bunch of Doppelgängers because for one, I made mistakes that I shouldn’t have. And second, because Lucy was too disadvantaged against the one impersonating me.’

And the second battle was good, but since we weren’t strong enough to defeat someone of a much higher level that also possessed powers incompatible to normal Humans like us that were born on a small planet with orthodox elements.

’It was a one sided fight that we could have still won had we known about the opponents and made ample preparations.’

But we couldn’t do that since there was practically nothing special that we could use against those dumb creatures.

’On top of that... they were good. Like... really~ good.’ 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚

They were strong and they knew what they were doing.

’We had never met them in the previous game runs so they must have lived in a small place with no great outside connections.’

But still, they were twin Nagas. A kind that we had only seen twice before them in the entire Worldline.

They were the third pair, and just like the ones that we have met until now, the two of them were also connected with one another through an Astral link that allowed their mind to practically become one unit.

’It was different from what Lucy and I had.’

What we had was only a simple connection that... wasn’t actually just a simple connection.

It was something more than that, I know but, it didn’t make our minds one entity like those Nagas could.

’We were still separated through our individuality.’

The Nagas though, were something that couldn’t even be considered two separate entities.

But, more on that later...

"You look half dead, dumb lizard."

[{ How dare you call a dragonlord a lizard, you dumb master! You are dumb! You are Lizard! Hump!" }]

Lucy was fighting the strongest bunch of demonic bastards that were contracted with the high demons and one of them seemed to be contracted with a demon marquise as well... but, the contract that this world allowed wasn’t even close to what the demons were actually capable of.

They were divinities just like the gods and the divine beings and side they were part of the (Pure evil) faction of the Worldline, they were not beings that lived alone and selfishly like the gods.

’They were smart, and even though they were strong individuals, they lived in groups.’

And by doing that, the powers that they amassed were so great that they did not really need to descend upon this world to destroy it.

If not for the Worldline Laws, they could have accomplished their wish of destroying this place a long time ago... but that wasn’t really what they were after here, so, they were enjoying whatever they could while they still had the chance to.

The ones they were using for this whole shit was just pawns to them, and... since the headmaster had left the task of destroying these pieces of shits to us... we should finish this now.

It had been too long since we started this and now, it was getting boring. Even to me.
