The opponents were beings contracted with high rankings demons and there was only so much that we cold do against people that were obviously stronger than us and had advantages in terms of not only strength but also experience and skills.

’But then again, the doppelgängers and the Naga that we fought a while back also had the same kind of differences,’

They were strong and they were unlike any being that we had fight until now but, they still were something that we could have defeated had we been in the perfect conditions.

That’s what she was saying but what she had done for us, what both of them had done for us was more important than they considered it to be.

There was not many things that we could have done in the situation where we were completely blocked off from the outside world and there is no guarantee that that bastard headmaster could have saved the children from getting badly hurt.

’He was only obliged to keep them alive so, to some of the stronger ones that were capable of defending themselves and fighting against the demonic humans that had come to this place, he might not even have cared unless they had almost broken past their limits.’

He wanted them to get hurt so bad, get past their limits doing all that they were capable of and much more... he wants them to see the world beyond what they were currently capable of that he must have encouraged the concounters of them and the demonic humans that were just strong enough to overpower them.

And the headmaster knew some of them were either not naturally capable of doing so just yet, or were bound by personal circumstances like Lux.

But thanks to Anna and Cary’s great support, Nes was able to defeat a strong bunch of demonic cultists that were able to summon strong energy beasts, and Lux didn’t have to reveal her full powers just yet.

’Leon was hurt and he would have been in critical condition had it not been for Lily, and though Ras took care of most of the ones he came across, he ended up getting entangled in his tests and couldn’t help out much.’

There was a little more to this than that as well and truthfully, I didn’t like the way things went in our absence here.

Dealing with them was easy since we used these abilities but to use them, the amount of resources that we had to use was so great that I was now worried if that bastard headmaster of ours would even compensate enough for them.

The demonic ’humans’ that came to this island were all dealt with. But, they weren’t the only invaders that were currently present on this island.

No one else aside from us knew about that here since we were the only ones that actually had access to the surveillance system, and from what we were seeing right now...

In the deep deaths of the sole volcano present on this island that had been inactive for as long as this island had been part of the academy, there existed an actual, complete, unrestricted demon.

The demon wasn’t a demonic noble and was actually a being much weaker than the ones that we had fought just now.

But since it was a demon, it possessed unique powers that only the demons had and thanks to that, he must have helped these bastards under the commands of the demon nobles and been the link that bound them to their masters.

’The main reason the demons were able to accept so much influence in this world must have also been this demon.’

We didn’t know who he was or where he even came from but seeing as how a demon was guiding a strong bunch of demonic humans contracted ’one-sidedly’ with the demonic nobles, we were certain there was some greater plot behind this...

A different power that wasn’t present here was behind this demon that was behind these bunch of demonic humans, who most probably belonged to some kind of organisation before they accepted the demon contracts.

’They weren’t normal people...’

The way they were so organised, the way they moved, the way they had such cohesive personalities, and from how their group bondings were, it was pretty possible that they used to belong to some private clandestine force before something happened and they went over to the dark side.

It would have been good had we kept one or two of those demonic humans alive to extract some information from them, but since their heads didn’t really have anything like a brain after accepting those contracts, there was no way to extract that information from.

’It was doubtful if the information we wanted would even be there.’

They were puppets and nothing more at this point, so... the demon was the only thing that they could use to get the information that we need right now.

’The vice headmaster should be here a bit as well now.’

She was an impatient one as she knew the true nature of the headmaster as we did and after seeing Cathy awakening as a Saintess, she must be paving the way for the airship herself.

I knew she wouldn’t wait for me anyway so I didn’t try to stop her. I wasn’t near her anyway so stopping her wasn’t possible in my position.

Using the newly mastered technique to Synchronise with her, I materialised her wings on my back and started flying to the place she had reached with her own teleportation ability.
