Chapter 353: 353 Concluding the midterms

[Lucy’s POV: ]

{ "Aghhhhhhhhh...!" }

She was almost done torturing the demon by the time I arrived there.

There was a lot of dust and from the look of it, they had had a great fight here before I arrived, but since the fight was only fought with magic, she had a one sided advantage against this creature with her {Dismantle}.

’Demons mostly fight with their skills.’

Angles have their innate divinity and the physical powers that they are born with but every single demon is born differently so not all of them have strong ohy powers.

Though, they most certainly possessed a certain unique skill that made them different from the others of their kind.

’The skill this demon possessed perhaps had something to do with skills, which would explain the use of demonic skills into the demonic human that had infiltrated this place.’

They had stronger skills than they should have had for their levels and the way the contract had so few conditions even after being the lowest kind of contract, their powers didn’t really make much sense.

"We’re here."

"Ohhh~. Hello~."

She had cursed the demon in the small time it took the two of us to get here, so it most certainly wasn’t a fight that the demon could have won under any conditions anyway.

The demon itself must have known that it wasn’t strong enough in the aspects that were required and that must be the reason it was hiding here instead of pulling the strings from behind like the weak ones of their kind usually do.

"Anna~. Are you alright~?"

She walked back to us after leaving the demon to Cary that was strangely having fun pulling out the snake like hair of the demon.

’He seemed happier for some reason as well...’

We didn’t know what happened in the small time it took for the two of us to fly over here, but whatever it was... I don’t think I want to know it.

[{ One is alright thanks to one and the master is always looking out for one. One appreciates one worrying about oneself." }]

She kissed me lightly after coming to us and then she lifted Anna from my shoulder and started dancing around with her little self raised high.

"Do you know how much I missed you~? It might have been a few hours for you but for us, it was more than a few weeks!

That third test we took especially went on for so fucking looooooooooooong that I wanted to give up and just end that shit midway! Ughhhhhh! Anna! Do you know any way to kill that headmaster without consequences~?"

[{ Ummm... one isn’t certain what kind of death one means in this context, however, one could certainly think of some ways to-." }]

"That’s enough, you two. Let’s get back to the problem at hand here."

They were talking about things that they shouldn’t and on top of that, even though she knew all that there was to know about the death of the offsprings, she was asking my Anna just to make fun of the one that was listening up on all this.

"You, demon."

She was a diabolical demoness herself. A chaos incarnate that subdued a demon possessing all its powers by herself.

And, she possessed a familiar that was currently terrifying the demons that were the source of hate and fear in this world, as well as most parts of the Worldline.

"Do you want to live or do you want your existence to be erased by these two?"

The very first title we possessed was something that gave us more strength as we tortured the demonic human and the demons.

Those connected to the (Pure evil) faction weren’t that fond of us already, but after seeing all that we did today, they must be quite pleased with us.

’And some of them must also be cursing us like they used to when we were younger.’

The time was different now. They couldn’t mess with us even if they wanted to and even if they possessed all the authority in the world to do so.

{ "Aghhh! Aughhhhhh! Save me! Save me!!! I don’t want to die...!" }

[{ Shut up. Bastard. }]

Cary pulled out one more snake and this time, one of the demon’s eyes as well.

"That’s alright, Cary. You can stop playing now... there’s not much left of h that thing anyway."

The demon, from the looks of it, used to possesses around six eyes and hair that were all snakes.

It had deep black eyes, and not being a humanoid creature, this demon had a form closely resembling a moose.

It was ugly, had a thick, dark demonic energy surrounding all around its body, and even though not much was left of him after these two cut off all of its limbs, had pulled out three of its eyes, and almost all of the snakes on its head, it didn’t not look any better than it did previously.

It was still disgusting. But, we needed this piece of shit alive.

"Anna, can you use a Soul sealing contract on this thing and seal it off in... hmmm..."

I looked around for something that seemed useful and, spotted a certain round rock.

"Use this thing."

I lifted the rock using my {Telekinesis} and gave it to her while smiling warmly at the demon.

"We just need him to be alive. He doesn’t need a physical body for what we want him for."

It was a simple demon, and demons like this one are worthless pieces of garbage anyway.

There was nothing much useful about them and they weren’t going to make us rich like the demonic nobles could.

’They were useless.’

So, just the fact that this one was getting to live instead of being tortured for the evolution of our title was a boon to him.

"You better thank us for sparing you, and cooperate to better than your mother cooperated with the master that fucked her."

{ "Hey...!" }

"What? Are you angry?"

This piece of shit.

It still didn’t know its place...

-Oooooooooooooong!

{ "AGHHHHHHHHHH!" }

It wasn’t even strong enough to withstand my Aura. Fucking useless thing.

"Anna?"

[{ Yes master~. }]

She went ahead, took out a contract scroll that the dimensional merchants usually used for important contracts back by the Laws of the Worldline and made the demon sign on it with a cheerful smile on her cute little face.

{ "Aghhhhhhh!" }

The demon was in pain already so he had no choice but to do what we were telling it to do.

There was no other choice.

The pain from the destroyed body, and the pain from my Aura flames was bad enough for him to want to die that very moment.

-Ooooooooong!

[Ding!]

[Ding!]

[Ding!]

There were various pop up notifications that didn’t open up all at once thanks to the changed settings, so they just piled up and when neither of us opened it, they disappeared.

We knew what they might be and there is no need to check those things out in the first place so we just ignored it, looked around the place for anything that this demon might be hiding, and after finding nothing of great significance, El just stored away the rock that now contained the soul of the demon.

’There wasn’t much that the demon had left behind and the teachers were here already.’

They came late but we were already done with all that we needed to do so, this was the end of what was supposed to be a simple midterm test of the first academic year of this life of ours.

"Haaaa..."

It was a l9ng day for the others, but for the two of us... it was a long month, a little more than a month actually.

The time we spent in the first trial was not that long but the time we spent in these off and the third one was long enough for three or four midterms like this to complete.

This was a long time on our part, but we learned some unexpected things thanks to this experience.

"Shall we go and see them?"

We suffered thanks to the greed of the headmaster, and he knew he was going to face some backlash for what he did already.

’But he did not break any rules so, the punishment that he would receive from the world and the Worldline wouldn’t be that great.’

There would be some kind of little things that he would have to give up for a short time and he would have to work a little more than he already did, perhaps write some papers and do some more work in the various places, but he did what a headmaster was supposed to do— being out the best potential of the students.

’He was a bastard that we didn’t like already, but after this shit... even I don’t like how he operated.’

The trial that he prepared for us, the things that the others had to go through just because we weren’t there, and the things that the others had to endure... I didn’t like the way he did this.

There were better ways to do this.

He could have just left the two of us to deal with this whole thing if he only wanted to test the two of us, but no.

’He chose the bitter way.’

He not only dragged the rest of our friends into this, students that weren’t even related to this whole drama or were strong enough to endure any of it were hurt in the process.

’They were alive and fine, but the trauma of this day was going to stay with them until the headmaster erased and recreated their memories or something.’

But doing that would be against the moral laws unless there was a reason behind him doing it.

’That’s why he would have more things to deal with going forward.’
