[Lucy’s POV: ]

It was only one little day for them, but...

"Is that El? El? Is that you?"

"How’re you doing, everyone."

"El...!"

They were all gathered in a safe camp by the teachers in the centre of the island and Nes was taking care of the still unconscious foolish duo.

The teachers were taking care of the other children, some of the other teachers were looking out for the rest of the children that were still coming there from the safe areas, and the familiars and bonded spirits of the teachers were helping out in the various tasks here and there.

A camp was created for students and there was a record process going on for the students who had suffered great injuries.

There were also a number of things going on here from that, but that didn’t not matter to my sister.

"Elllllll! Where were you?!! Do you know what-."

"Shuuuu, quite Nessy. There are still injured people present here. Let them rest."

Nes had helped out each and every student she came across and she did her very best to kill the demonic humans as quickly as possible in the time that she had been present on this island so that she could move on and help the other people.

Thanks to her, many of the students had made it to the safe areas, and thanks to her, many of the demonic humans that could have otherwise harmed the other students were safe.

’Lily killed the most demonic humans, and Lux was right after her in the rankings.’

And after the two ladies that were doing what they were doing with certain goals on their mind, the selfless Nessy was the third that killed twelve demonic humans on her own.

And, truthfully, it was an unbelievable feat...

"El..."

She didn’t do it for something like a reward from her system or with the intention of reaching the love of her life, but just because she had to do it.

’Students were getting hurt and someone had to step up and save them, and punish the bad people.’

And she did it without any rewards or alternative thoughts in her mind.

She was a good person for a reason... and she was also a good friend for a reason.

"Mister Lucifer..."

She was emotional after seeing El, her dear friend, she was hugging her without saying anything now that she had calmed down.

And El was hugging her back, stroking her little head with a helpless smile.

’We knew what crazy things happened here when we were gone, so, we knew just what kind of things, they all experienced today.’

Lux and Leon was looking at me with a emotional expression, Ock was blankly staring at the sky, lost in her thoughts.

The bodies of Cathy and Rex lay on the beds prepared for the injured students, breathing calmly with the help of the artifacts attached to their face and chest.

Ras was blankly looking around at everything that was going on, considering the cause of all this to be his own weakness.

And, that wasn’t all...

"Lucifer and Auriel. Please find me in the back room after you’re finished here."

"Yes, vice headmaster."

She didn’t look as cheerful as she usually is and she wasn’t even serious at the moment since the things that the teachers were supposed to do for the students, had already concluded by the hands of the students.

’And that wasn’t as good a thing as it sounded.’

As a teacher and someone that was supposed to be the guardian of the students of the academy, it was her responsibility to look after the students in the situations that weren’t accounted for by the academy itself.

And the current stuff that was something that she couldn’t possibly ignore anymore.

’Students were hurt, some were in a bad condition, some were suffering from mental trauma, some were still unconscious, while the entire island that belonged to the academy was corroding from the blood of demonic forces that had invaded this island.’

A student was awakened as a Saintess, a student was found out to be strong enough to use a kind of powers even masters and grandmasters couldn’t control.

There was a new Swordmaster in making, and a girl blessed by Mana with a unique ability had appeared.

’On top of that, Nes, Lux, and us.’

Nessy showed off her Space and null attribute powers freely to deal with the high ranking demonic humans and since this was a main quest scenario for

Lux, she did whatever she could to deal with as many opponents as she could.

She must have got some good rewards from her personal system so that was a plus point, but the chances of her existence being revealed to this world had now become certain.

’Soon, she will lose her special status as an unknown race.’

As well as her privileges to the player system interface.

"How are they doing?"

"Fine, as of now. The medics said there’s no problem with them so they should wake up soon."

Lux, Lily, Leon, and Nes were the only ones that were in any condition to talk with one another.

And since Nes was busy hugging El- something I’m pretty sure will continue for the next few minutes- only the three of them were looking after the unconscious duo.

"Haaa... idiots."

One was so focused on helping the others that when they were attacked by a demonified bastard, she just blanked out and watched as the beast almost killed the ones that were with her.

’And then she panicked.’

She was afraid of that thing.

She was angry and wanted to destroy it on the spot as well, but more than that, for perhaps the first time in her life, she was more afraid than she had ever known of.

’The fear triggered the dortent powers resting within her and as a natural, instinctive reaction, bloomed spontaneously before the time for her natural awakening had arrived.’

It wasn’t a bad thing since the powers themselves were in a complete state for a long time now, but they were still not something that she could handle on her own.

’The vice headmaster knew that. That’s why the moment she arrived here, she came to look at her first so that she could help her stabilise her powers.’

But, thankfully, we got back before they arrived, so El had already done all the necessary things to stabilise her powers and normalise the flow of that power in her special body.

’Then she helped the dumb prince bastard.’

He had fallen.

And this wasn’t the first mistake he was going to make for her.

’This was just the start.’

He might still deny it, but he knew what his feelings for her meant. And, since she was conscious when He reached her, she knew what her feelings for Him meant.

But they were still going to stall for time since they were dummies.

"Haaaa... get some rest everyone. We will be departing soon now."

They had done a good job dealing with the situation here and the results were pretty good.

’The midterms were fucked so, the academy and the headmaster will have to grade everyone on a different criteria, but, they will have to keep this whole fucking shit valid since a good number of students had already given their part of the tests.’

The headmaster was good at these things, so we weren’t worried about stuff that was his problem, but still... he better reward her well for all that we did here.

"Brother Lucy..."

Nessy was done hugging El so it was our turn now. And, I missed her as well...

"You did great."

I hugged her as well, stroked her head with my Mana, and gave her a forehead kiss.

She was a smart one, a good one, and in the game that we had created, she had never been so... Lucky?

She either died most of the time, or she never got the chance to show her true side to the world.

’She was miserable.’

But things changed in this round...

She was our friend, an inseparable part of El’s life and someone that kept the two of us in check.

She was precious to us... and, I know what we will do in the future will shatter her heart, but that was how things had to be.

"Are... are you alright, brother Lucy?"

She was tired from expending all the energy she had, and more.

The stamina record was going well, but the amount of Mana and her spirit force that she had used until now wasn’t something that will replenish anytime soon.

’She will need to take a long rest now.’

And she knew that wasn’t going to be anything simple either since this was the academy we were talking about.

"I’m fine, silly. The only ones we should be worried about are these two dumb ones, you know?"

"Hmm?"

They were unconscious but they were placed in beds right next to one another. And since their beds were joined together, as their minds knew, their hands were still holding the other’s hand. Not letting go even after strong tries from the teachers...

"What happened to them, though?"

"It’s a fun story."

She didn’t know how I would have known about something that happened here while I was not here in the first place, but like always, she didn’t question how I knew about something.

"I should go now."

We will depart soon, and we will go back now...

To the lives that we used to have before this shit happened.

To the house that we used to live in, before we came here and expired two defeats of this life.

We were going back now... and, it meant we would get to start over again.

And this was a fact that made this evening a little more calming...
