Chapter 57: CHANGE OF PLAN

"So, if you are friends with River and claim yourself as one, it’s actually a shock for me." Olivia didn’t relent. "Because she finally can make a friend. Congratulations to her, and yet, I still stand firm with what I said. It’s either she came to me to retrieve the dress or the dress will be here, and I can return her money anytime."

Olivia really liked to escalate things into an unnecessary problem in Hazel’s eyes.

Now she was in a better situation financially; she could give back the money. She was not willing to sell the dress to River in the first place.

There were so many scenarios that Hazel had thought about when she came here. She expected to see Olivia, but she didn’t think this woman actually gave her a hard time. What did she actually want?

"What do you want to say to River? If it’s not important, I don’t think she is very curious enough to show up and meet you."

"Tell her that this is about her family, about her fiancé. This is important."

Hazel didn’t like it at all because she was curious what Olivia wanted to say to her. That’s why she agreed with her demand. It was not every day Olivia would demand to see her.

"Fine, I will tell her." Hazel sighed deeply. Her curiosity got the best of her. "She probably will make a call."

"Make a call?"

"Well, it’s either a call or you don’t get anything at all. If you don’t want to receive the call, you can just not pick it up." Now she started to get irritated.

"You know her really well, don’t you?"

"Yeah, we are kind of best friends at this point," Hazel replied. They shared the same soul and body at this point.

That statement made Olivia look like she wanted to gag, as if it was a crime for River to have a friend who would defend her.

"Yeah, whatever, just tell her to contact me if she doesn’t want to show her ugly face."

Hazel nodded; she was rather upset not to get her dress and wasted her time coming here, so she hoped whatever thing Olivia wanted to say to her would be worth it.

She walked towards the door, but before she left, she turned around and snickered at Olivia.

"You don’t need to put a gun under your desk if you don’t want to use it." Hazel nodded at Olivia’s desk. "If you don’t want to use it, it will only be an accessory; you should know when to use it on the right person."

And with that, Hazel left, leaving Olivia with this shock on her face. Hazel was having a hard time not laughing, since she loved such scenes.

Olivia’s expression was very comical. Hazel knew about Olivia’s habit of hiding her gun under the table, something that she should use on her boyfriend, and yet she had never done that. Stupid her.

Well, love really made people become stupid. River was just another example of it.

River should have killed Arlo a long time ago if she had known how he would betray her. That fucking bastard really didn’t deserve even a second of her time.

Because of River’s love for that man, she needed to pay for her stupidity.

As Hazel now, she was going to kill him, but right now it would be difficult to eradicate him directly.

In the past, River used to tell Olivia that she needed to kill her boyfriend before he killed her. That boyfriend of hers was nothing but a scourge.

However, that stupid woman didn’t want to hear the suggestion and took it defensively. No matter how hard Olivia tried to hide the bruises under her thick makeup, Hazel would always be able to see them.

Olivia was in an abusive relationship right now, and Hazel was not sure why a smart woman like her wanted to stay in that kind of relationship.

But then she couldn’t say the same thing to her now, because as it turned out, River’s ’kind and loving’ boyfriend actually killed her before Olivia’s boyfriend could kill Olivia. What an irony of life.

At the very least, Olivia’s boyfriend was a jerk through and through, but Arlo’s betrayal was actually what hurt River the most.

After Hazel left the boutique, she went to visit another place. She was going to call Olivia later and find out what she was trying to tell her so desperately that she made the threat.

But if that woman kept making things difficult for her by giving so much attitude and trouble, forget it. She would marry Ranon with whatever dress she could find.

She wouldn’t mind wearing Ranon’s mother’s wedding dress if she still couldn’t find the right one, simply to spite Greyson. She couldn’t care less about what she would be wearing later as long as it’s not her mother’s wedding dress.

She was not going to give Greyson such satisfaction. Call her vindictive, but she was indeed someone who held a grudge like a dog held onto its favorite toy.

More so, Hazel felt justified because she held this grudge against Greyson on behalf of the original Hazel. That woman died without having a real happiness in her life, and those people who gave her a hard time would pay for what they had done.

In this case, she would see it as her way to thank the original Hazel to allow her to use her body for her own revenge.

Walking on the street, Hazel waved at a taxi and then told the driver the address she wanted to visit. This was very important for her.

She changed her approach to get to Arlo and Aubrey. She thought death wouldn’t be enough for the two of them since they had betrayed her, made a fool of her, and then killed her. She was going to make their lives a living nightmare.

Killing them would be a short satisfaction, but tormenting them was a healing process for Hazel.
