Chapter 58: FIRST INFORMATION ABOUT HER

There was a crucial thing that Hazel just noticed, which caused her to change her entire plan.

She didn’t think she could stand excessive physical activities since she was currently pregnant. She was easily tired and sleepy. That was annoying, actually, because she was a very active person, but then she couldn’t help it.

Even now Hazel was already hungry and sleepy. The thought of revenge alone and planning it out wore her down.

Because of the traffic and how quiet it was inside the car, she fell asleep for a while. Her eyelids were heavy, and she tuned out from her surroundings. And to her absolute horror, it was actually the driver who had to wake her up when they had reached the destination.

His touch startled Hazel as well because usually she didn’t sleep and put her guard down so easily, especially in public areas. She didn’t know when her enemy would strike; that was why she needed to stay vigilant all the time.

However, she thought Hazel was not River; she didn’t have a long line of enemies that wanted her death. No one would haunt this timid and unpopular young woman.

Probably, that was the reason why Hazel could fall asleep so easily.

"We are already here, Miss." The driver was a young man with a little bit of beard on his chin; he reminded Hazel of Michael, Arlo’s little brother. She got along with him well.

"Oh, thank you." Hazel rubbed the sleepiness from her eyes and then yawned. She gave money to the driver and then got off the car. She stretched her body lazily. "I feel so old..."

Her whole body was screaming for her to go back home and curl inside her warm blanket, eating her strawberry cake and binge-watching movies, since she couldn’t do such trivial things when she was River.

Actually, there was one occasion when Hazel noticed how her strength had decreased significantly.

Around three days ago, Hazel tried to work out. There was nothing excessive, only running around the Rose’s jogging tracks, which successfully made Yara worried because she was pregnant.

However, in the end, Yara couldn’t hold back her laughter at Hazel. The audacity of that woman...

If she had heard about it from someone else that one day she would be this weak, and if it didn’t really happen to her, probably she would have laughed as well because it sounded ridiculous; but the truth was it only took Hazel five minutes running on the jogging track, and she was already out of breath.

Hazel couldn’t believe that her strength had decreased so badly. No, actually, it was not her strength that had decreased, but it was the fact that the real Hazel had never really worked out before because that was how she was born; she didn’t actually get so much fat on her body. She was slim, but she was not fit.

Hazel could never remember when she was not fit when she was River. Her body would always be in perfect condition with strength, agility, and good reflexes.

Actually, there was a time when River had sparred with Arlo. He won. His strength relied on his power, but he was not that fast, and River was too unpredictable for him. But it happened because River didn’t want to challenge his ego. Arlo was rather egotistic if she could be honest with herself.

This could cause trouble for River’s first serious relationship, and she didn’t want that.

But as it turned out, Aubrey could boost his ego better than her by acting weakly. Obviously, River couldn’t stoop that low. She could let Arlo win in a spar, but to act helpless all the time would be too much for her.

More so, at that time, River loved that man so much.

Arlo must have thought of himself as this powerful man who protected the beauty. It was a shame on him that he didn’t know the mistress in dumb shell was actually a devil reincarnated. Good for them.

However, right now Hazel was not in good condition, which annoyed her so much, and now she would need some exercise to be fit again, yet she needed to wait until the baby was safely born first.

For now, she needed to be satisfied with this ’little help.’. This would be a little bit messy, but this was how Aubrey had killed her. She would only return a favor to them.

Once Hazel arrived at a candy store, she went inside.

There was only one man staring at the distance; he looked bored out of his mind, and when he saw Hazel, he frowned.

"May I help you?" He asked Hazel. Of course, he knew her from social media; after all, she was rather famous lately.

"I want to buy a favor, a little favor." Hazel smiled beautifully; she took off her sunglasses and met his eyes.

Hearing what she said, the man looked even more shocked at her request. There was a code in this shop.

This shop, this candy shop, was actually only a cover since they didn’t actually sell candies. They sell something else differently, yet only a handful of people knew about it, including River. And she knew the passcode to get what she wanted from this man and this place.

"What kind of favor do you want?" the man asked after he regained his composure.

"I want a good one. Give me the latest on this model."

The man’s eyes turned a few shades darker. Who would have thought someone like Hazel Rose needed a gun?

Arthur finally got his first information about Hazel after so many months he had been waiting for any signs or movements that she was still alive.

And this morning, his prayer was answered. The news came from Olivia.

Olivia’s parents were a part of the organization; thus, it made Olivia one of River’s childhood friends.

They were not close, but apparently River had bought a dress from that woman. A fucking wedding dress! To top it off.
