Unexpected Marriage With Mr. Leighton: Rebirth of the Villain-Chapter 59: PURCHASING HER BABY
Chapter 59: PURCHASING HER BABY
But to Arthur’s dismay, it was actually Hazel Rose, who was going to pick it up and wear it in her wedding with Ranon. Something so absurd.
"I remember that young woman from the charity gala." He rapped his knuckles on his desk, thinking about the connection between Hazel and River.
In the charity gala, that was when Arthur saw her for the first time and found there was something about that woman that pricked his curiosity. She reminded him of River.
And now this happened.
Was this a coincidence? He was sure it was not that case. There was no coincidence in his life. There was no such thing as a coincidence. Especially the world where he lived.
He asked his man to look into it more and inform him of whatever the result was.
"Tell me every single detail about the Rose family, especially their youngest daughter. I want every detail of it, including all of her medical records. I want to know what doctor she went to and when was the last time she was in the hospital."
His man on the other line of the phone voiced his understanding and promised two days for the information to be delivered.
What actually happened with River? What was her relation with Hazel and the Rose family? Arthur couldn’t comprehend the situation at all.
Was this how she would make an appearance after so many months?
"What is her plan? Why a wedding dress? Is she well? Is she marrying someone? But then why was Hazel the one who came to pick up the dress?"
Arthur rapped his knuckles faster as he was trying to run over a thousand possibilities in his mind, but neither made any sense for him.
It was obvious that it was Hazel Rose who was going to wear the dress since she was the one who would marry Ranon Leighton. That was the only wedding that would happen in the near future.
It was a mystery, and Arthur wanted to get to the bottom of it.
However, Arthur was not the only one who received this news.
Because right now Arlo also had already learned about the information related to the wedding dress that Hazel would pick up from Olivia.
It went without saying that Hazel’s plan to alarm the Lozen family and Arlo about her appearance was a success. Both of them were like ants on a frying pan.
"A wedding dress?!"
Arlo was in disbelief; he stared at the man who had delivered the news and looked at him as if he had grown a second head.
"Why a wedding dress?"
The man looked confused too. How would he know? He then informed him that the dress had been purchased by River around six months before, which meant three months before she was ’killed.’
Was she going to marry someone? Arlo was sure they had never talked about marriage in a more serious context.
And now, this news about the wedding dress shook him to the bone. He needed some time to compose himself with the thought that River was not dead.
She didn’t die.
She did not die.
I knew it.
She was not going to die that easily.
I knew it.
However, just like Arthur, he found the reason why Hazel wanted to pick up the dress was weird. Especially when the dress was purchased by River. They didn’t know each other, right?
"You can leave now." Arlo waved his hand, and his subordinate left him alone in his office room as he slumped his body on the chair.
Everything was very confusing.
But for a moment, Arlo didn’t want to think of anything else besides the fact that River was still alive. She was alive; she didn’t die. It was what he told himself a few more times over and over again, and he sighed deeply with feelings for the first time after so many months.
There was this genuine smile on his face, and he laughed.
Arlo laughed happily with the thought that River was out there, breathing and kicking. She was going to come after him for what he had done to her, and he was sure about it.
She was going to get her revenge, and Arlo was more than willing to meet with her.
And then, Arlo’s mind drifted to Hazel. He remembered that woman. He should have believed his gut.
There was something not ordinary about that woman, and now he focused himself on Hazel because she was the only connection to River, the only proof that River was still alive; she was going to have a talk with Hazel.
Sooner or later, he would make sure to find out where River was. He wouldn’t let go of that woman until she spilled everything.
Despite his euphoria with the news and the thought of meeting River again, also despite his eagerness, he was not sure what he was going to do when he met her again. But he would think about it later when he already knew where she was.

Hazel went to meet with Rize. He was the guy who you would look for whenever you needed something. Whatever it was, he would get it for you as long as you had the money for the price that he gave you.
This man was famous in their community for providing whatever, and right now Hazel would get her gun from him.
It was stupid of her if she thought she could ambush Arlo and then take him down without having her own weapon.
It was her impulsive thought and now when Hazel had realized how weak this body was, she believed she wouldn’t stand a chance to fight Arlo head on.
It probably would be like a suicide mission for her to do that, which she was not so eager to find out the result of.
Therefore, here she was, purchasing her gun. It was a small gun. Bersa Thunder, which Arlo would call a woman gun, but who cared?
Hazel actually wanted to buy a Glock 19, but this model suited Hazel’s hands more.
