Unexpected Marriage With Mr. Leighton: Rebirth of the Villain-Chapter 71: SHE LOST HER TEMPER
Chapter 71: SHE LOST HER TEMPER
Once again, Aubrey tried to find Arlo. She went to his office, but he was not there. Therefore, she went to the club that he frequently visited, but still he was not there.
Even Noah told her that it had been a long time since Arlo’s last visit.
Yet, Aubrey simply didn’t believe him. She didn’t believe anything he said; both of them were good friends; they must have each other’s back, which was fine by Noah since he didn’t care so much about Aubrey.
Just like Michael, Arlo’s little brother, he didn’t really like this woman. He was still unable to wrap his mind around this fact about why Arlo preferred to be with this woman. He knew how unhinged this woman could be.
And at this moment, probably this was the craziest he had seen her.
Aubrey actually didn’t wear any makeup, and you could tell she looked like she didn’t have an easy life recently.
As a woman who cared so much about her appearance, Aubrey actually looked very awful. She had dark circles under her eyes. Not only that, she looked haggard as if it had been so long since the last time she pampered herself. frёewebnoѵel.ƈo๓
Noah could only shake his head, but at the end of the day, Arlo chose to be with her.
"I want to see the camera footage in this place. I want to see whether or not you tell me the truth about Arlo. I want to see if he has been with someone else aside from me, because this is not like him to avoid me."
Aubrey fired Noah with rapid demand, and each word that came out of her mouth was filled with venom.
Noah actually wanted to roll his eyes because right now Aubrey was being delusional. "What do you want to see? There is nothing to see there, and I can’t let you see the recording without any real reasons."
There were a lot of underhanded dealings within his club; he couldn’t let just anyone see the recording.
"This is the real reason. I don’t care what it is, but if you deny it, I will make a problem in this place."
People in their circle knew that even though River was the precious asset for the Lozen family, actually, Aubrey was the apple in Arthur’s eyes. None of them wanted to mess with the Lozen family’s precious daughter.
This was one of the reasons why Noah hated Aubrey so much since she was very spoiled and didn’t know any social cues at all. She was so different from River, despite the fact that they had the same father.
"Fine." Noah finally relented because he didn’t want to have this woman for long in his place. Therefore, he took her to the CCTV room and told her to see whatever she wanted to see.
Of course, Aubrey immediately went to the day when Arlo last came to this place.
Noah wanted to kick himself in the butt because he actually told her the date when the last time Arlo was here. Obviously, it wouldn’t be good.
He still remembered what happened that day. He should have deleted the record at that time. He was sure that Aubrey would have asked a few more questions about it.
And he was right. Aubrey started to ask a few questions about why Arlo looked so drunk, and the more she watched, the more enraged she was.
’I want River!’
On the screen, you could see how Arlo howled River’s name over and over again in the hallway, where he fought Noah. If only he had stayed inside the room, this recording wouldn’t have existed. Yet, Arlo decided to have a breakdown in the public area.
He looked for River, he cried for River, and he wanted River. He was out of control in his drunk state. He wanted to see her; he wanted to see his fiancé because he had never gotten over her.
Aubrey’s body was trembling because of the rage she felt inside. She didn’t even stay for long to watch the entire thing, because it was very clear that what Arlo said was completely hurtful for her. In the end, she stormed out of the room, her eyes filled with tears.
"Dang..." Noah groaned; he pulled out his phone to call for Arlo that he needed to prepare himself for the storm that came in his direction, but that man didn’t pick up his call.
And Noah was not the only person who tried to get in contact with Arlo, because Aubrey tried to call him again and again, but like usual, he didn’t pick up his phone.
Because of that, Aubrey drove the car straight to his house, where she found Michael, who was the one who opened the door for her.
"You again?" Michael scrunched his nose. "What do you want here?"
"Move!"
"Excuse me? This is my house. I need to know why you are here. Don’t you know the term ’stranger danger’?"
Aubrey was not in the mood to deal with Michael’s sarcasm; she didn’t give a shit about him and stormed inside the house.
She went straight to Arlo’s bedroom, where she could find him there, lying on the floor with bottles of whiskey. She couldn’t believe the sight before her eyes.
Outside, the sky had turned very dark, and she had been running around looking for him while he was here, mourning the relationship that he destroyed himself.
Aubrey couldn’t help it; the sight enraged her. She had been very hormonal with the pregnancy, and now the father was being an ass!
A harsh slap landed on Arlo’s face, and Aubrey didn’t realize what she had done until it happened. Needless to say, it sobered Arlo up almost immediately.
He looked very angry, but the moment he saw her, he groaned and ignored her.
The way Arlo couldn’t care less about Aubrey only made her even angrier.
"What’s the meaning of this?!" Aubrey hit him.
