Chapter 80: GET INTO THE CAR

"Can you stop doing that? That’s not really nice to push someone else. Didn’t your parents tell you about that?"

Hazel would regret this decision later, but right now she needed to make sure her future nephew was all right, since Carl didn’t seem to be able to handle the situation.

"What?"

"Who are you?"

"Who do you think you are?"

Hazel raised her brows; she was sure that her cover was very good, and these people had proven it since they didn’t recognize her.

She was a little bit upset when Lyle could recognize her easily, but then now she knew it was simply because Lyle was more observant, probably more observant than Hazel wanted to admit, but when she saw these people, she was sure that there was nothing wrong with her cover. freeweɓnovel-cøm

She had been pretty famous lately, so there was no way they couldn’t tell it was her, especially if they befriended Carl since the Leighton and the Rose family had been quite on people’s mouths lately.

"Stay away from him."

"Why? What are you going to do? Do you want me to punch you too?"

"Hold on," one of them spoke; he grinned and looked at Hazel closely. "You have a pretty face. I don’t think I want to hurt you."

The other chimed in. "Why don’t you come with us? That pretty boy over there could pay for us."

Hazel looked at them; she felt bored. This kind of behavior was very cheap. These people had been trying to act like a thug, while they didn’t even know there was a real assassin right before their eyes.

"Come here."

"Do you want to talk with us?"

"Why are you very quiet?" The biggest one had this stupid grin on his face as he approached Hazel. He stretched out his hand, but Hazel slapped it away. It was a little bit harsh since he grimaced in pain and glared at Hazel, who was smirking right now.

What a weak man. Most of her targets wouldn’t even flinch when she used that much strength, but this man immediately looked offended. He even yelped a bit like a kitten.

"I don’t like to be touched," Hazel said calmly.

Still, it didn’t make these people understand as they let go of Carl and approached Hazel. Right now, at this moment, their attention was on Hazel completely. They looked very angry. And yet that was not Hazel’s problem.

She didn’t think that was her problem at all. Carl looked uneasy. He didn’t want Hazel to get into trouble. After all, in his eyes, she was still a woman.

"No, come here, come here; let’s get into the car," Carl said. He wanted to take these men away, which Hazel appreciated, but he didn’t need to do that.

"Oh, shut up! We will come to you once we are done with her."

"Come here, do you like to be forced?"

Hazel rolled her eyes dramatically at that cheesy word. They didn’t even know how it felt to be forced.

And after that, the fight happened. It was inevitable.

They were surprised to find that Hazel could actually fight, a real fight; but since Hazel was a little bit slow, she got a slap on her face.

It’s more like the other opponent’s nail grazed her cheek a little bit, but Hazel managed to dodge the worst. This also made her realize her body was really so bad. No, it was Hazel’s body. This woman probably had never punched anything in her life, not even her stupid brother or her ridiculous father.

That was why Hazel didn’t think she would be able to take Arlo down right now, but she thought these four men would be enough as the punching bag for her to exercise how far she could get.

And the fight happened.

It didn’t last for long; Hazel made it very fast because she didn’t think Hazel’s body would be able to take a long fight.

In the end, the four of them fell to the ground, whimpering like little ladies as they cursed at Hazel. They stood up and then ran away, getting away from Hazel.

Carl, on the other hand, looked nervous. He looked at Hazel up and down, as if he didn’t know what to say.

Meanwhile, Hazel simply walked towards him and patted his shoulder.

"Are you okay?"

Only then did Carl snap out of his reverie and answer her question.

"Yes, yes, I am fine."

"Good, now go back to your home and don’t get into trouble again." Hazel waved her hand in front of his face. "Did they do that?" He didn’t answer, and actually he looked down as if he was ashamed.

Hazel didn’t want to dwell on it for longer than this, and then she tried to lighten up the mood since it became a little bit awkward.

"Why did you even drive?" Hazel nodded at the car.

Carl lifted his head and looked at her. He frowned. He opened his mouth as if he wanted to say something, but then he reconsidered his answer; he then grumbled about something else.

"Why? Can’t I drive?" Carl simply muttered under his breath.

"Yeah, you can’t drive; you are still underage."

Carl looked a little bit surprised. He frowned. "No, I am not underage."

"Oh, come on, lie to someone else who will believe that. You are still sixteen. What are you doing out here?"

And once again, he looked surprised. "How do you know that?"

"Of course I know that, because I will be your aunt."

"What?" Carl looked even more shocked with the revelation.

And finally, Hazel took off her glasses and then untied her hair. She ruffled her hair a little bit. "I am sure you know me," she said lightly, and the look on Carl’s face was very comical. Obviously, he recognized Hazel.

"You! You are Ranon Leighton’s future wife!" She was his uncle’s fiancé from his stepmother’s side.

"Get into the car; I will drive you back to your parents’ house."
