"And with that, the holy empire is royally fucked!" – said "Kid" as he sat down at the throne located in the holy castle.

"Hm…. Well, this was far easier than we had expected…. Honestly, we looked around as we fought, but we couldn't find anything regarding the children of the holy emperor or any of their personal soldiers." – said Phantasia.

"By the looks of things, they were never here to begin with?"

"Huh…. Wait, so does that mean that they just gave up?" – asked confused vampire nobleman.

"Well, they still tried defending this place." – said vampire general.

"But by the looks of things they thought it wasn't worth it to risk the lives of their 'elites' per say." – added Phantasia.

"Which is…. I mean, they managed to get past us 3 times already, but on the fourth they just went 'NOPE'?"

"Meh. I guess the holy emperor is trying to give up on the holy empire and instead focus on defending the key location…. Which does sound stupid and everything…. But you need to remember their main goal." – said "Kid".

"Stalling for time…." – said Phantasia.

"Yeb." – replied "Kid".

"As long as they stall us long enough, they will be able to counterattack us and push us all back."

"Still, what he did was beyond stupid if you think about it."

"He should still send his elites here."

"Because now, not only we quickly conquered this whole place, but we also barely suffered any damage."

"Which in turn means one thing."

"We can launch our attack against capital city much faster than we had originally planned."

"There is also no need to place any forces here in this place, so don't bother splitting our forces."

"As you wish, your majesty." – said the vampire general before then leaving the throne room alongside the vampire noblemen.

"So, anything to report?" – asked "Kid".

"No." – replied Phantasia.

"There were still no traces of Arthur anywhere."

"We even managed to bribe some adventurers from the heaven side and confirmed that Arthur did not joined their faction…."

"Simple put…. He vanished…. But I really doubt that he had left the holy empire."

"And you say that, yet you still didn't found out what he is planning." – said "Kid" with annoyed expression.

"Hey. I have straight up no idea what he would gain from it." – said Phantasia.

"All I knew was that he was acting weird…. And that for whatever reason he wanted to save that Daughter Of Mercy."

"And…. Please wait a moment." – said Phantasia as he took out a communication tool from his inventory.

"What is it? Somebody calling you?" – asked "Kid".

"Yea…. It is the information broker that I've hired." – said Phantasia before activating the device.

"…Em…. So, yea…. Apparently, there is situation going on in the main holy city?" – said Phantasia with conflicted expression.

"?" – "Kid" stared confused, yet curios, wanting to find out about the situation.

"So apparently…. Arthur was found? Like in the very heart of the holy empire…. And he has kidnapped the Daughter Of Mercy?"

"What the fuck?" – asked confused "Kid".

[Meanwhile: Holy city]

"QUICKLY! THEY COULDN'T GET FAR AWAY FROM THE MAIN SQUARE! INSPECT EVERYTHING! TURN EVERYTHING UPSIDE DOWN IF YOU NEED TO!" – shouted the paladin as the group of soldiers were checking every single citizen, they could their hands on.

(Okay…. This ain't good.) – thought Coin as she hid in her shadow, before then traversing the roofs of the buildings and quickly arriving at the bell tower, entering through the window before then regrouping with her party that was waiting inside of it.

"How is situation outside?" – asked Mara as Coin returned to her original form.

"Yea…. No good." – said Coin.

"They unleashed all of their soldiers and angels are flying around…. If I'm honest, this ain't good."

"Shit…. Why the hell neither of you told us about the fucking barrier lockdown?!" – asked pissed off Mordred.

"Because we didn't freaking knew! Obviously!" – said Morina.

"I knew about the Great Barrier protecting this barrier, but nothing about it being able to instantly be deployed!"

"If I had to guess, it must had been the holy emperor himself doing that to the barrier, just like Daughter Of Mercy did before with the whole empowering thing."

"He must had instantly sealed up the city the moment he heard the news."

"Fuck...Okay….. Are there any other secret entrances? Escape paths we can use to leave this place?" – asked stressed out Mordred.

"Yea, there are few. But considering the fact that Jeanne was right at our asses back then and that we managed to lost her must had pissed off a living hell out of her." – replied Morina.

"By now, she must had already placed all of her around each secret path in order to make sure we wouldn't get out…."

"What about forcing our way through?" – asked Stone."

"Bad idea." – said nervous Mer.

"Honestly, as soon as we would try to break through anything, they would instantly find us."

"We would have 3 children of the holy emperor after us, as well as the big bad boss himself joining the hunt as well."

"According to this item…. 5 days?" – replied Arthur.

"The [Divine Enslavement Collar] is special one-use item that can rob a divine being of their power and straight up seal them up…. It is item I was given for the quest…. But this thing timer depends on the target's power."

"Honestly, I did read the message that the fourth divine city was conquered… But we are still in the enemy main power point."

"Thanks to the fourth city being conquered, the timer on the item did ended up increasing and probably we will get more time if we leave this place…. But the problem is that the moment it hit zero, she will wake up and we will need to either convince her to give up…. Or subject her by force."

"Anyway…. I don't really think we will be able to get out."

"Wait, you are giving up already?!" – asked shocked Mordred.

"I mean, think about it." – said Arthur.

"Mer already said that the moment we try to get out through any exit we will end up instantly getting swarmed."

"Honestly…. We need to wait until organization attacks this place, which will in turn gave us opening to escape."

"If the holy empire also tries to slow them down as much as possible and have days went by…. Then…"

"Then this girl will wake up." – said Mordred as everybody stared at the bag which contained the little girl inside.

"….Great… So, we are going need to hide, probably move from place to place, while the entire army of holy soldiers are looking for us and the angels are covering up the entire skies?!"

"So let me get this straight." – said "Kid".

"Your broker, the one that you bribed and is working for the holy faction, is telling you that the traitor that had betrayed us has somehow gotten inside the city and kidnapped the bloody Daughter Of Mercy?"

"Well, that is what this guy says." – replied Phantasia.

"Oh my fucking lord! The fuck is this?!" – said "Kid" as he laughed.

"And what?! Did they escaped?!"

"No…. Apparently, they are still probably in the city and there is a giant man hunt going on, trying to find them." – replied Phantasia.

"They even deployed the Great Barrier and completely sealed off the city from the outside world."

"Nobody is allowed to leave and nobody is allowed to enter."

"Apparently the refuges are also straight up pilling as they are begging to be let in."

"I see… I see." – said "Kid" as he gotten off the throne.

"Welp, change of plans."

"We are going to attack immediately."

"May I know why?" – asked Phantasia.

"Simple, really." – replied "Kid".

"These bastards may had betrayed us…. But at the same time."

"They gave us a perfect opening to exploit."

"And I ain't planning on wasting it."

And so, the organization forces resumed their march much earlier than expected, deciding to hasten the date of the final battle.

The forces of the organization marched towards the holy empire, while the holy empire itself was desperately looking and throughout their own city, trying to find the traitor who had kidnapped the Daughter Of Mercy.

"Did you found them?!" – asked pissed off holy emperor.

"N-no! We already searched slums and-"

"THEN LOOK AGAIN! CHECK EVERY SINGLE HOUSE! ROOM! EVEN PILES OF TRASH! EVERYTHING NEED TO BE CHECKED!"

"She is here!"

"I can still sense her in the city!"

"They didn't leave yet."

"They are hiding!"

"S-sir! Emergency!" – said the panicking holy knight as he rushed towards the throne.

"What is it?! Did you find anything?!" – asked the holy emperor.

"N-no! Well- YES?!" – said panicking soldier.

"The organization!"

"They are heading straight towards us!"

"They are brining all of their forces that they had brough with them coming towards us from all directions!"

"…"

"Fucking bastards." – said pissed off holy emperor as his holy energy started leaking out from his body, which ended up unleashing violet blast of energy, destroying everything they had touched and even wounding nearby soldier.

"THOSE FIFLTHY FUCKING BASTARD!"

"THEY DARE TO KIDNAPP MY DAUGHTER AND THEN THINK THEY CAN JUST STROLL RIGHT IN HERE?!"

"MURDER THEM!"

"YOU HEAR ME?!"

"MURDER ALL OF THOSE FUCKERS!"
