To fully understand what happened, one needed to go back a period of time.

After Lin Fan took the Transport Array to go to the city, there was someone that appeared at the Falling Star Sect’s gates.

The disciples that had been guarding the gates were surprised to see this person, but they still went to drive that person away. After all, that person just stood there without saying a thing, looking like he didn’t have any good intentions.

This person was the handsome middle aged man who was Liu Ao Xue’s father.

Before the disciples guarding the gates could bother Liu Ao Xue’s father, Elder Tian suddenly appeared.

He dismissed the disciples who had been there guarding the gate before saying, "Sect master, what are you doing here?"

Liu Ao Xue’s father just narrowed his eyes to look at Elder Tian before saying, "You were supposed to be watching over my daughter. What is this that I heard about her taking a disciple and even hugging her leg?"

Elder Tian was surprised when he heard this since he clearly hadn’t reported this back, so how did he know about this?

Liu Ao Xue’s father saw this and he pointed his finger at Elder Tian to say, "Tian Fu, you, you, you! I never thought that you would be so shameless not to report this to me! Didn’t I tell you to tell me everything that happened with Xue’er? Also, you said that you would take good care of any bugs that approached her!"

Elder Tian revealed an awkward look since he had been exposed for his lies.

He knew what Liu Ao Xue needed and that was impossible with the overbearing father that she had, so he had actually lied when he told Liu Ao Xue’s father this.

Liu Ao Xue’s father saw that Elder Tian wouldn’t say anything, so he said, "You look suspicious."

Elder Tian trembled when he heard this, but he quickly said, "It’s nothing. You’ve just heard a bunch of rumours and you’re overreacting like this. How can a grown man like you act this way?"

Liu Ao Xue’s father narrowed his eyes to look at Elder Tian before saying, "Still suspicious."

Elder Tian just stood there with a calm look on his face, but there was a feeling of awkwardness that filled him when Liu Ao Xue’s father kept glaring at him.

Finally, Liu Ao Xue’s father couldn’t take it anymore and said, "That’s it, I’m going to go and see this ’disciple’ of my daughter. I want to see what kind of good thing he is."

Elder Tian immediately reacted when he heard this.

So Elder Tian quickly came in front of Liu Ao Xue’s father and said, "Sect master, if you don’t go and see the young miss right away, wouldn’t she be sad? If she knew that you only went to see her after seeing someone else, she would be disappointed, right?"

Though he said this, Elder Tian didn’t mean it since he knew how the young miss actually felt about her father.

Though she respected him, the way that he acted around her was a bit too much even for her.

But he would never say that to his face.

"You’re right, if Xue’er were to learn of this, she would be angry." Liu Ao Xue’s father slowly said this before saying with a nod, "Alright, bring me to Xue’er first."

Elder Tian let out a sigh of relief and went to lead the way, but he found that Liu Ao Xue’s father had disappeared.

"That old scoundrel!" Elder Tian couldn’t help cursing when he saw this before chasing after him.

But by the time that he arrived, he found that Liu Ao Xue’s father had already destroyed the courtyard that Lin Fan was living in.

Liu Ao Xue’s father was also in front of Lin Fan’s lackeys and he had his hand up as he slapped the male lackeys. The female lackeys didn’t have a single scratch on them while the male lackeys had faces that were swollen.

Elder Tian gave a sigh before coming over to say, "Master, what are you doing?"

Liu Ao Xue’s father turned around and said, "Where is that kid? Where is he hiding from me?"

Elder Tian looked around the courtyard again before saying with a sigh, "If you really go too far, the young miss will hate you."

Liu Ao Xue’s father trembled when he heard this before quickly saying, "Alright, I’m too lazy to care about that now. Let’s go and see Xue’er."

Elder Tian looked at him with a look like he was shocked by how shameless he was, but that look quickly disappeared and was replaced with a look that wasn’t as surprised since he already knew how shameless this man was.

Elder Tian looked at Lin Fan’s lackeys first to say, "I’ll move you to another courtyard after this. Just clean up a bit for now before he comes back. This is the sect master’s father, so he’s the ancestor of our sect. You should know why he’s here looking for that kid Lin Fan."

The lackeys revealed bitter smiles before nodding in agreement, but they still looked at Liu Ao Xue’s father with a wary look.

Elder Tian understood why they looked at him like this, but there was nothing that he could do to change this.

So all he could do was lead Liu Ao Xue’s father out of this place as soon as possible.

But what he never expected was that Liu Ao Xue’s father would run back to the courtyard that he destroyed when he felt a disturbance in the spiritual energy around them.
