Water Mage in the Flame Realm-Chapter 380 - 368: The Horn
Andrew had never felt such a terrifying force.
It wasn’t just about the size of the power, but more importantly, the opponent was using pure "horizontal force" to the extreme.
This so-called horizontal force is a violent power.
It originates from the evil within the heart.
When ordinary people’s inner evil thoughts are exposed, they often act tyrannically and brutally, running rampant without restriction. The saying "rampant tyranny" means exactly this.
And when a professional’s inner evil thoughts reach a certain level, it will further affect their professional identity.
What’s the biggest difference between a Flame Warrior as an Earth Fire Professional and a Crimson Knight?
It’s not just an additional earth attribute, but the extreme evil thought hidden deep within that earth attribute! This is the core essence of why Earth Fire Professionals are Earth Fire Professionals.
Earth carries all with benevolence.
Yet, the earth attribute of the Earth Fire Professionals of the Magic Guild contains an incredibly extreme and pure human evil.
Although those who do evil never end well, and those surrounded by horizontal force will ultimately die violently—meaning losing control and turning into Desolate Beasts, becoming crabs that can only rampantly move.
But before losing control, such people possess unparalleled power!
An incomparable, extremely formidable power!
With a "bang", a black rope could not withstand that terrifying horizontal force and snapped with a spring.
The female Warrior Chief saw this and was delighted, showing a grim smile: "You, a Magic Professional, actually dare to attempt close combat with me, a Flame Warrior? Are you out of your mind? It’s useless, you know as well, in such close combat, you can’t win against me!"
While speaking, the horizontal force around her grew even stronger.
"I said, let go!!"
The female Warrior Chief shouted fiercely, and her body suddenly felt light.
The black rope Andrew had wrapped around her suddenly loosened!
But...
It wasn’t broken free, it was Andrew who had loosened it voluntarily.
Aside from the first black rope that snapped, the rest dispersed on Andrew’s command, and then transformed again.
This time, the black water force didn’t condense into a heavy sword or a black shield or a long rope, but into a war spear!
The female Warrior Chief’s horizontal force was indeed extremely dominant; continued close combat would not be a match.
But such monstrous horizontal force isn’t without a solution.
On the contrary, the solution against a Flame Warrior’s horizontal force had long been devised by the Warm Fire Commerce Association—
Overcome horizontal with vertical.
By creating a powerful penetrating force with extreme speed, avoid local combat, pull away, and then penetrate the opponent’s defenses in one fell swoop!
This is a basic combat technique that every Crimson Knight must master: Crimson Sprint.
It is also the force contained within the super fortress aimed at the "Dragon’s Nest", the "Crimson Battle Lance"!
The black war spear thrust straight out, accelerating to an extremely high speed over a very short distance.
The spear shaft is hard and resilient, a feature of water.
At the spearhead, hot steam rose with a hiss, formed by flame heating the water to vaporize, then condensing when cooled!
This spear, with water as the base, combines both ice and fire.
With a "puff", it pierced through the Dragon Transformation Armor on the female Warrior Chief’s body, penetrated her body, and finally emerged with a thud from her back!
"You... you bastard!!" The female Warrior Chief’s eyes widened, clearly not expecting Andrew to unleash such powerful attack force.
Even more surprising was Andrew’s strategy to switch from defense to offense, using attack as a form of defense, to proactively delay her despite being unable to withstand her force of struggle.
The female Warrior Chief felt her feet suddenly leave the ground, her whole body lifted by Andrew with the black war spear.
Gritting her teeth, she clasped the spear shaft piercing through her chest and abdomen with both hands, then opened her mouth to spray forth a "Dragon’s Breath" made of "Fire of Extinguishing" that surged to engulf Andrew’s body before her.
"Die, just die for me already! I really don’t want to keep tangling with this annoying brat any longer! Die!!" she shouted furiously within.
Within the dragon’s breath, Andrew’s voice came again, still weak, sounding like he could be blown down by a gust of wind, yet with a tough and resilient undertone that was infuriatingly steadfast.
Andrew uttered a name, the name of a water magic: "Leviathan’s Horn."
This is a form within traditional water magic, not too high in tier, completely within Andrew’s capability to perform with his current strength.
The issue was that embroiled in intense combat with the female Warrior Chief, Andrew had no extra energy to cast a spell unrelated to the fight at hand.
Behind Andrew, a figure stood up again.
It was none other than Pasha, who had previously been knocked unconscious!
Her condition was no better than Andrew’s, struggling within the dragon’s breath, yet she gritted her teeth, saying nothing, flipping her hand to condense a pure white... horn.
While the female Warrior Chief battled with Andrew over here, the Flame Warriors were also in combat with the Water Mages further away.
The Flame Warriors, who came to fight on this Outer Battlefield, indeed proved to be well-trained, fearless desperadoes. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚
They were caught by surprise by the water-sided advance forces, but after a brief panic and casualties, they quickly regained stability and launched a ferocious counterattack!
For a time, the outer surroundings of the encirclement seemed to take a reverse trend.
The Theban Battle Array, originally dispersed and shaken, seemed to be reforming. The sea of flames in the sky made of Fire of Extinguishing showed signs of forming pincers again!
Pasha stood in the center of the encirclement, looking at the black sea of fire in the sky, listening to her compatriots’ dying screams emerging from outside the circle.
Breathing heavily, it seemed hard to even stay conscious, yet she raised the huge white horn in her hand, one as tall as a person.
Taking a deep breath, Pasha pressed her mouth against the horn’s mouthpiece.
Using all her strength, she blew all the air in her chest into the white horn before her.
This magic horn was none other than the "Leviathan’s Horn."
And sounding this horn was the final, also most critical, part of the battle plan Andrew and Pasha discussed!
The horn’s sound, like the long cry of a whale, was not particularly intense but full of an inviting summoning tone and a joyous, delightful sentiment of returning home.
After sounding the horn, Pasha finally exhausted all her strength, her vision blackened, and she toppled over again.
And this time, Andrew had no strength left to condense water elementals to hold her up, as with gurgling sounds, Pasha slowly sank into the water.
But the horn’s effect had already manifested.
"What is that—?" The female Warrior Chief seemed to see something, suddenly stopping her Dragon’s Breath and choking on it herself, "Cough, cough, cough, cough!"
She was still hoisted by the black spear in mid-air. After the Dragon’s Breath ceased, Andrew swayed, kneeling again, causing the female warrior’s height to lower a little.
Yet she supported herself on the spear, seeming to try and lift herself higher to see beyond the encirclement further out.
In the distance, from all directions, at the junction of the sea and night sky, a ring of "white lines" quietly emerged.
But these were no real white lines?
They were waves!
Massive white waves, wall-like in size, rapidly approaching the Flame Warriors from all directions!
The waves consisted of various water elementals.
On each water elemental, one or several to a dozen Water Mages rode!
Upon seeing this scene, a trace of awe and a hint of fear finally flashed in the female Warrior Chief’s eyes.
A thought that she found unbelievable crossed her mind: "So, those water monkeys who just launched a sneak attack were merely an advance party? Just the vanguard? And these, rushing in now, are their true... main force?"
