X-ray Eyes Little Wild Doctor-Chapter 126 - 121: The Cement Truck by the River without Water
Chapter 126: Chapter 121: The Cement Truck by the River without Water
"If you think you can live by not speaking, then you are gravely mistaken," Ye Tian said coldly. "I can clearly tell you that your life is worthless in my eyes!"
Blood trickled from the corner of Shadow’s mouth as he gave a painful smile, "I’m not a three-year-old child. Revealing that secret means certain death for me, but by keeping it, I still hold value to you, and you won’t kill me."
He understood the harsh reality very well; once he lost his value, the other party would certainly not spare his life. The moment he revealed the secret would be the moment of his death. He wasn’t that foolish.
"I told you before, I’m not a bloodthirsty person. As long as you cooperate, I will spare your life. I keep my word. What do you say?"
This was Ye Tian’s final chance for him to save his own life, and if he was smart enough, he would accept. Ye Tian always kept his word; if he said he wouldn’t kill him, he absolutely wouldn’t.
This was the promise of a supreme master, worth its weight in gold.
Hearing this, Shadow snorted coldly, "Do you think I’m so foolish to believe your lies? Cough, cough, don’t dream!" he said as he coughed up blood.
"I’ve already told you my identity, now let me go," Shadow continued.
Ye Tian showed a look of regret; it wasn’t that he hadn’t given him a chance, it was that he himself didn’t cherish it.
This Shadow Assassin, who had roamed the Dark World for many years, was full of suspicion and precaution. He simply didn’t take Ye Tian’s words seriously, which was regrettable, as he would lose the most valuable thing for this - his life.
"Do you think so confidently that I don’t dare kill you, is that it?" Ye Tian asked with a cold laugh.
"Of course, because I still have value to you," Shadow answered affirmatively.
A cruel smile hung on Ye Tian’s lips, looking utterly ruthless.
Many people thought they understood Ye Tian, but they really had no idea. The workings of Ye Tian’s mind were not something they could fathom.
Ye Tian didn’t say anything further, nor did he ask another question. He put down the black blade and casually pulled out two Dragon-whisker Needles, which he then stuck into Shadow’s mouth.
Shadow painfully opened his mouth wide, but he found himself utterly unable to scream. What terrified him even more was what came next. Ye Tian hoisted him onto his shoulder and walked straight out of the basement.
In the garage, Ye Tian threw Shadow into the back seat of the car. Shadow’s entire body was sealed with silver needles, unable not only to speak but also to move, resembling a living corpse.
With a humming sound, the car started; Shadow was taken out of the garage and directly onto the ring road.
The car sped away.
Throughout the journey, Ye Tian didn’t say a word, creating an oppressively tense atmosphere. Shadow didn’t know where he was being taken, feeling anxious and almost suffocated.
Soon, the car left the urban area. There were no street lights, and the surroundings were shrouded in darkness. Ye Tian purposely chose a remote and desolate path, leaving Shadow clueless about their destination.
Deep inside, Shadow had a very bad premonition. This isolated and desolate place was ideal for killing and hiding a body. It was very likely that the other party planned to kill him.
Shadow now regretted not choosing to compromise. After all, the other party was a powerful top-tier fighter, and his promise might have been trustworthy. Unfortunately, he had failed to seize the opportunity.
What saddened him most was that even if he wanted to reveal the secret of the King of Hell, he was now unable to speak because the Dragon-whisker Needles deprived him of his ability to talk. He was bursting with words but couldn’t utter a single one, which was extremely frustrating.
About two hours later, the car suddenly stopped. Ye Tian’s expression was ashen as he pulled Shadow out from the back seat of the car and threw him onto the ground just a few steps away.
Shadow, seeing stars from the impact, still didn’t forget to look around. The sky above twinkled with stars, and large abandoned machinery was everywhere—excavators, bulldozers, but more so cement mixers, surrounded by sand and cement.
Clearly, this was an abandoned construction site.
Ye Tian’s expression remained indifferent. Without asking him anything, he found a metal barrel somewhere. freēwēbηovel.c૦m
Such large metal barrels, commonly used on construction sites to hold water, could be filled to the brim. The barrels were more than a meter tall with a wide diameter, easily fitting a person or two.
Ye Tian immediately threw Shadow into the barrel. Without a word, he walked into the darkness, leaving Shadow guessing about his intentions.
Inside the metal barrel, the cold night breeze blew over Shadow, causing him to shiver.
This ominous feeling intensified. In such a desolate place, even if he were indeed killed, the King of Hell would not be able to find him, let alone avenge him.
As he was lost in his thoughts, suddenly, bright xenon headlights turned on, blinding him. The roaring of heavy machinery echoed by his ears.
Squinting, he saw a cement mixer emerge from the darkness. The large elliptical mixer kept spinning, constantly churning the dirt and cement inside, creating a chilling grinding noise.
Shadow could see clearly that the person driving was Ye Tian. He turned the mixer around, and the cement discharge outlet was now directly aligned with the metal barrel.
From such a close distance, Shadow could see the swirling sludge, and more so, the discharge outlet facing him. All Ye Tian had to do was press a switch, and tons of cement would flow out, filling the entire barrel in less than ten seconds, completely submerging him.
At that moment, Shadow Assassin felt his heart chill.
The night air was cold, and the concrete would dry quickly. In no time, his body would become a cylindrical block of concrete. This place was right by the Wu River, and the enemy wouldn’t need much effort to throw him into the river.
The density of concrete is much heavier than water, and if that happened, he would become a corpse buried in the river’s silt, his coffin the very cylinder of concrete encasing him.
Shadow Assassin didn’t want to die such a tragic death at the bottom of the river, but Ye Tian gave him no chance. The concrete mixer had stopped mixing; the concrete inside was ready. With a click, the outlet gate opened, and the thin, runny concrete poured out.
The cold sludge hit Shadow Assassin’s bald head, making it difficult for him to breathe. The concrete flowed down his body, quickly filling the metal drum.
As time went by, more and more concrete filled the drum. Shadow Assassin could even feel the concrete level had covered his feet, and soon it buried him up to his knees. A few seconds later, the freezing, bone-chilling concrete slurry had buried up to his chest, the external pressure and internal anxiety making it hard for him to breathe.
The concrete slurry rose frantically, ruthlessly swallowing Shadow Assassin’s body.
It’s over, I’m really going to die. In my wildest dreams, I never imagined dying such a humiliating death.
I don’t want to die, I can’t die!
Shadow Assassin roared silently in his heart.
If I could turn back time, I would have agreed to Ye Tian’s terms, I would have told him everything he wanted to know, just to save my own life.
I’ve been missing for so long, the King of Hell hasn’t come to save me, he might have already given up on me. Dying for such a person is not only worthless but also extremely foolish.
Unfortunately, even if I want to cooperate now, there’s no chance left. They really want to kill me; they aren’t leaving any room for survival.
The more I think about it, the more panicked and suffocated I feel. Shadow Assassin is overwhelmed with grief and regret; suddenly, a warmth spreads at the root of his thigh, and he actually wets himself out of fear!
Life is only once, nobody isn’t afraid of death, even the Shadow Assassin feels the same.
The rumble continued, the cold concrete slurry pouring out rapidly, soon submerging Shadow Assassins’s chest, and in the blink of an eye, it reached his neck. He was desperate to live; he would call anyone grandpa if it meant saving his life.
Unfortunately, Ye Tian never got out of the car, nor did he give any chance to show willingness.
The concrete slurry rumbled down, quickly submerging Shadow Assassin’s neck and covering his mouth. Shadow Assassin could only breathe through his nose, but soon, the concrete covered his nostrils and reached his eyes.
Shadow Assassin could no longer breathe, half-stepping into hell, fear and regret dominating his heart.
Being so intimately close to death, Shadow Assassin, this cold-blooded, ruthless assassin, actually had tears streaming down his face—tears of humiliation.
Suddenly, with a click, the flowing concrete stopped abruptly, and the mixer started to clank.
Shadow Assassin held his breath, his tearful eyes wide open, seeing nothing but a blur, with only the twinkling stars of the night sky before him.
He could only hear the sound of the car door opening, then Ye Tian’s footsteps approaching. Ye Tian came beside the mixer and cursed, "What the hell’s wrong with this machine, it actually stalled, ****."
The cursing ended, followed by the sound of repairing the machine.
Shadow Assassin was anxious, knowing that once the mixer was fixed, his end would be truly sealed.
He tried to shout desperately, but his mouth couldn’t make a sound, and being buried under the concrete, he couldn’t make any sound at all. The chance for life was fleeting, driving him almost mad.
In desperation, he couldn’t care less, using all his strength desperately banging against the metal drum, his forehead knocking loudly against the edge, quickly becoming bruised, but he no longer cared about the pain if only Ye Tian could hear him, even if he died, it would have been worth it.
His forehead crazily struck the metal drum, the sound growing louder and louder, and he finally caught Ye Tian’s attention.
"What, got any last words?" Ye Tian, looking down at the metal drum holding Shadow Assassin, asked.
"Uh-uh... Uh-uh-uh..." Shadow Assassin couldn’t speak.
Ye Tian snorted coldly, impatiently, reached in and lifted him out of the drum, with a slap on his right hand, the Dragon-whisker Needle flew out of Shadow Assassin’s mouth.
"I’ll tell you everything! I’ll tell you everything!" Shadow Assassin finally able to speak, almost cried out in excitement.
"Let’s hear it then," Ye Tian responded dismissively, seemingly indifferent, leisurely taking out a cigarette and lighting it.
"It’s the King of Hell, it’s all his conspiracy, he wants to kill you..." Shadow Assassin confessed honestly, not daring to play any tricks anymore.
The King of Hell!
Upon hearing this, Ye Tian’s eyes narrowed slightly!
