Chapter 415: Chapter 415: Justin Grant Is Stabbed

Audrey Vance couldn’t find Adam Owens, and she was very frightened. She dared not tell Oscar Owens and Adam’s grandmother. After all, Adam was the apple of their eyes, and if he disappeared, just Adam’s grandmother alone would be enough to take Audrey’s life.

With no other options, Audrey had to call Vincent Vance, asking him to come over to help with the situation.

Vincent was feeling agitated because of May Morgan’s affairs. When he heard that something happened to Adam and Maxwell Vance, he reluctantly refused, saying, "Aunt, I can’t handle your Owens Family matters, nor do I want to. Adam is a grown-up now, even if he went out in the middle of the night, what could possibly happen? How could such a big person get lost?"

Audrey really had no choice but to ask Vincent for help, otherwise, knowing Vincent’s personality, she wouldn’t have dared to easily call him.

"Vincent, you don’t know, Adam was lost under Maxwell’s watch. I just had the hospital staff check the room’s surveillance and saw some concerning things. You should come and take a look to prevent me from not being able to protect Maxwell later."

Vincent frowned at her words, cautiously asking Audrey, "What do you mean? Are you saying that Adam’s disappearance is related to Maxwell?"

It was unclear over the phone, and Audrey said to Vincent with a heavy heart, "You should come and see; I think you need to know about this."

"...Alright, I’ll drive over now."

Vincent sighed helplessly, knowing that his aunt wasn’t someone who liked to be mysterious. With no other choice, he temporarily set aside May’s matters and drove to the hospital where Adam was.

Just as he left, May Morgan and Victor Grant’s car pulled out of the hospital too. Tonight was supposed to be their wedding day, and if Vincent hadn’t interfered earlier, perhaps they would be enjoying a romantic private world now.

Victor kept glancing at May while driving, and May, sensing his gaze, bashfully said, "Why do you keep looking at me?"

Victor chuckled lightly and suddenly reached out to touch May’s small face, full of satisfaction, "Because you’re beautiful. I think I could look at your face for a lifetime."

May touched her own face, smooth and delicate. Not only men found it stunning; even she felt amazed when she looked in the mirror. She couldn’t pinpoint when her face began changing bit by bit, becoming completely different from before.

When did it start? Ah yes, when she was cursed with the Dragon Insect; her body began undergoing amazing transformations.

Suddenly, May recalled Mr. Landry’s words to her. She hesitantly looked at Victor and asked, word by word, "If one day I become disfigured, would you still like me?"

Victor was about to answer when May interrupted him and continued, "Recently, an old man told me that I was cursed with a love poison, which is why you all are fighting over me. Victor, haven’t you seriously thought about why you actually like me?"

Victor tightly gripped the steering wheel and replied confidently, "I know why I like you. Yes, initially I thought you were good-looking and a bit similar to my sister, but that’s not the point. The point is, I feel comfortable being with you. Back then, Vincent hurt you so badly, and seeing you in pain made my heart ache even more. I wanted to kill Vincent and Brianna White to avenge you. May, I’ve never been heartbroken for a woman like this before. No matter how you think about me, I know my feelings for you are definitely not just infatuation."

Victor’s words left May speechless. She herself couldn’t explain many things clearly, nor could she advise Victor on how to let go.

Even if Victor’s obsession with her was due to the love poison, as long as the poison remained in her body, this situation would forever persist.

As the two returned to the villa and were about to head upstairs, the hospital suddenly called, informing Victor that something had happened!

The doctor responsible for Heather Holt’s care told Victor that a young man had suddenly broken in with a knife, trying to stab Heather. At that critical moment, Victor’s father, Justin Grant, rushed in to block the attack, taking the knife for her. The man was now restrained by the hospital guards, but Victor’s father, having been struck in a vital spot, was still in the emergency room, his life hanging by a thread.

Upon hearing this bad news, Victor was stunned. How could this happen? Everything had been fine just moments ago. Why did it turn out like this?

Who did it? Who was the person that broke in with the knife?

Seeing Victor holding his phone, looking lost, May quickly leaned in to ask, "What happened, Victor?"

Victor looked at May and said solemnly, "My dad was stabbed!"

"What? How could this happen?" May was shocked upon hearing this, immediately pulling Victor and signaling, "Why are you still standing here? Hurry, drive back to the hospital!"

It was only then that Victor snapped out of it, quickly taking May and driving back to the hospital. As soon as they reached Heather Holt’s hospital room door, they heard Heather’s painful cries from inside, "Don’t stop me, I need to go, I need to be with him. Otherwise, I won’t be at ease."

Inside, the nurses and servants advised Heather, "Ma’am, you can’t go now. Your health isn’t good. If anything happens, it would be troublesome!"

Upon hearing this, Victor quickly pushed open the door and barged in, "Mom, where’s Dad?"

Seeing her son arrive, Heather, already swollen-eyed from crying, shed another stream of tears, "Victor, Victor, help me go see your dad. I must be by his side, whether he lives or dies."

Heather’s desperate cries moved everyone present. Victor sighed deeply, quickly helping his mom lie back down, "Mom, don’t worry. I’ll go now. I’ll be there with Dad. You don’t have to worry; I’ll handle everything!"

Heather tightly grabbed Victor’s hand, crying and begging him, "Victor, you must find a way to save your dad. If he dies, I don’t want to live either. I’ll go down to be with him!"

"Don’t say that, mom. I know, I know!" Victor hurriedly signaled the people nearby to help Heather lie down, and after slightly settling her, he turned and rushed to Justin Grant’s emergency room.

Seeing Victor about to leave, May was about to follow but was stopped by him, "You stay here and accompany mom, persuade her not to worry."

May glanced at the still-crying Heather, quickly nodded, and agreed, "Alright, I’ll stay."
