Abandoned by the Alpha, I Became the Lycan King's Mate-Chapter 342 Fierce Battle
[Margaret’s Perspective]
I lifted my arm to shield my face, barely blocking the dust stirred up by the helicopter wings, while Donald and Henry slightly separated from their entanglement at that moment.
Since Donald and I weren’t far apart, I could even hear his heavy breathing and the smell of blood brought by the wind!
"Donald," I lowered my hand and called out his name against the strong wind, "Are you alright? Don’t get too close to them, come here a bit!"
Just as the words behind me fell, the people inside the helicopter had already opened the cabin door and set up a machine gun!
’Bang bang bang!’
Bullets rained down on Donald like droplets; he agilely stepped back a few steps, narrowly avoiding the enemy’s gunfire. When he turned back, his strong forelimbs slightly lowered, his gaze fiercely fixed on Henry who was still paralyzed on the spot.
Henry ultimately couldn’t withstand Donald, gaining no advantage in their brawl-like fight.
His shoulder seemed as if it had been torn, fresh blood dripped and soaked the ground as he panted heavily through his wolf mouth, appearing severely injured.
However, even so, he slowly got up from the ground with the cover of firepower from the helicopter, lifting his dark wolf head to look at Donald and sneered, "That’s all for today’s play. We’ll meet again soon."
’Bang!’
The response to Henry was a few unceremonious bullets; I gripped my gun tightly, almost feeling the startling heat produced by the bullets rapidly grazing the gun’s muzzle.
"Ah! Margaret!" Henry staggered to the side as he was hit by the bullets, coldly calling out my name.
Elliot and the assault team’s Lycan finally had something to do; they provided cover fire for me while quickly figuring out how to deal with the guy on the helicopter.
"Shut up! It’s the same lines every time, aren’t you tired of them? We all find it tedious!" I said, swiftly moving towards Donald’s direction, my gun’s muzzle tightly following Henry’s evasive figure.
While I was trading barbs with Henry, the gunfire from the helicopter suddenly stopped, followed by Levi appearing.
"Stop it all! This bloody battle is pointless. Henry is definitely coming with me today, no one can stop me!" After shouting this, Levi pulled a blood-soaked person from behind him.
He struck the man’s head hard with the butt of the gun, then stepped on him, his gun muzzle rubbing against the man’s temple, without pausing, he continued, "Do you still want this man’s life? I guess part of the reason you’re here is for these few people, right?"
"It’s Eric and the others!" Elliot’s eyes widened in shock; he froze, holding his gun. Soon, as if realizing something unbelievable, he continued, "That’s not right, how could Eric be in Levi’s hands? Our previous information showed they were attacked by an unknown group of assassins and then disappeared from the dock!"
At this, I glanced at Elliot and said thoughtfully, "It seems not only are we adept at stealth assaults, but the enemy is as well."
Levi, clearly hearing my conversation with Elliot, stomped on the person beneath his foot; a fierce gleam shone in his eyes as he coldly said, "So you’re called Eric, huh? You didn’t say anything even when tortured so brutally before, and now I still found out, didn’t I?"
"To be honest, I admire your loyalty to your master, but there’s really no choice. You might really have to die today! Who made your master Donald? And I need to exchange your little lives for Henry!"
Levi said this and looked up at Donald, who was on the edge of the rooftop, his cold gaze felt like being targeted by a venomous snake, "What do you think of my proposal, your Majesty? Exchanging these loyal subordinates of yours for the worthless life of Henry, what do you think?"
The Eric under Levi’s foot seemed unconscious, his half-body hanging outside the helicopter being tossed around by the strong wind, and even dark red liquid could be seen dripping down his hair!
"Levi! You are an utter madman."
This was Gino’s summary of Levi’s crazed actions, which I found quite fitting.
I had no doubt about the authenticity in Levi’s words, I thought if Donald refused to trade with him, he would really kick the man off the helicopter, like discarding a rotten watermelon!
"Do you know what the consequences of your actions are? What the outcome of collaborating with Henry is, do I need to spell it out for you again? How Angel and Austin died, you must remember that, right?"
Donald spoke, transformed from his wolf form to human form, looked at Levi with an unyielding gaze, his presence equally intimidating.
"To be honest, I really want to know what Henry promised you to make you betray the entire dynasty and me like this. For your Aunt Licia’s sake, can you tell me why?"
Donald’s voice wasn’t very loud, but it was clear enough for everyone present to hear; I turned back to look at him, quickly understanding what he truly intended to do.
