Apocalyptic World: Surviving with my husband and my cute little babies-Chapter 154: Worsening situation
Chapter 154: Worsening situation
"Ramon!" Jessa exclaimed in panic as she saw her husband’s bloodstained clothes.
Turning to Oslo, she asked urgently, "What happened to him?"
"Sis Jessa, please calm down. He was hit by debris from the explosion," Oslo explained gently.
Noticing the worry on her face, he felt it was important to be honest about the situation.
The others gathered around Jessa, offering words of comfort and support, as she looked like she might faint.
When Aunt Liza finally arrived, she was taken aback by the scene before her.
Ethan, Oslo, and Xander were injured and in need of immediate assistance, but Ramon was in a more critical condition.
Without hesitation, she stepped in to take over for Ethan, who was trying to perform basic first aid.
"Let me handle this, and someone please assist Ethan with his injury," Aunt Liza instructed, glancing at her nephew’s bleeding cuts as she examined the stab wound on Ramon’s stomach.
Mrs. Bennett quickly grabbed a first aid kit to help Ethan stop his bleeding.
Meanwhile, Lydia rushed to assist Oslo with his injured legs.
"Stop moving! Your legs are bleeding nonstop. If this continues, you could lose too much blood," she urged.
"I’m fine. We need to help Ramon first," Oslo insisted.
"Don’t be stubborn! Aunt Liza and the others are already helping him," Lydia retorted, carefully cutting away the damaged fabric of his pants and cleaning the wounds with well water.
After a few moments, Lydia exclaimed, "Your legs have been stabbed by metal. It needs to be removed."
Hearing this, Aunt Liza looked up and saw Oslo’s bloody legs.
She immediately instructed, "Don’t remove it yet, and keep him from moving too much. I will perform the surgery later. Let him regularly drink the well water and apply some of it to his wound."
Lydia nodded and handed Oslo a cup of well water.
Fortunately, they had enough well water stored in their inventory to manage the situation.
After a few minutes, Aunt Liza finally grasped the severity of Ramon’s injuries.
In addition to the stab wound, he had sustained injuries in other areas as well.
Noticing his pale face and the seriousness of his condition, she realized that he needed to be operated on urgently.
"Quickly, help me get him on a stretcher. I have to operate on him now. Let’s head to Paradise," she instructed.
Everyone fell silent, especially Jessa, as she looked at her husband’s pale face.
The space was currently unavailable, and they had no idea when it would be accessible again, especially with Elena’s whereabouts unknown.
Ethan quickly improvised a solution. "Aunt, Paradise is inaccessible for now. Let’s make do with the unit."
"Let’s go. The floor is starting to freeze. I’m afraid the 27th floor won’t be usable anymore unless we fix the broken window," Uncle Anthony suggested, helping to lift Ramon onto the stretcher, ready to head upstairs.
Everyone nodded, feeling the cold beginning to seep into their bones.
They quickly carried the injured upstairs, and Aunt Liza instructed Lydia and Mrs. Bennett to assist her in this operation.
The pressing issue was that they didn’t have a complete set of operating equipment, but Ramon needed surgery, and time was running out.
"What exactly happened?" Grandpa Caldwell asked, having been left behind with the kids to look after them.
"The old woman on the floor below just popped out of nowhere and tossed a grenade," Ethan explained, recounting the chaos that happened.
"This... Are you okay? You’re still bleeding. Don’t move too much, or your wife will reprimand us for not taking care of you," Grandpa Caldwell reminded him, emphasizing the importance of self-care so that his wife wouldn’t worry.
"I will, Grandpa, don’t worry about me," Ethan replied, his thoughts drifting to his wife, who had been missing for almost eight hours.
’Wife...’
Seeing the tension in the room, the kids watched silently.
Little Koby dashed forward, concerned about his brother Xander’s bandaged injury.
"Brother, does it hurt?" Little Koby asked innocently.
"Managing, but brother is strong, so you don’t need to worry," Xander reassured him.
"Brother, when I grow up, I want to be like you," Koby declared with determination.
"Alright, I’ll train you myself, but for now, you just have to eat and sleep well," Xander replied gently.
"Okay, brother," Little Koby said, then went to his brother’s side and gently blew on his injury.
"Thank you, little Koby. Have you already eaten dinner?" Xander asked, patting his small head, feeling proud of his well-behaved little brother.
"Done already. Grandma Ford served us delicious food, and I ate a lot today," Little Koby replied, then shared what he did today.

While everyone was busy, Elena, on the other hand, watched as the Golden Tablet flew back to her, having finally completed its update.
She exclaimed, and her pets looked at her, bewildered.
"Aw~aww~aww~"
"Meow~meow~"
"Finally, we can leave Paradise."
But first, she used her [Telepathy] skill to contact Ethan.
She had felt uneasy earlier and wanted to confirm his whereabouts.
"Husband, I’m back. Where are you?"
Sitting on the sofa, Ethan sighed as he thought about his wife and worried about his subordinate’s situation.
He had not anticipated the events of the day when he suddenly heard a [DING] sound in his mind, followed by his wife’s voice.
He stood excitedly and replied, "Wife, I’m in Grandpa’s unit. Are you okay? How is the baby? What happened? Why is Paradise insensible? Wife, I—"
Ethan had a lot of questions, and Elena felt overwhelmed by his enthusiasm.
"Stop. I will exit Paradise now. Let’s talk there," Elena sighed in relief, glad her husband was fine.
But Ethan quickly stopped her, not wanting her to see the depressing room.
He wanted to explain the situation first so she would be prepared.
"Don’t. Let’s talk inside," he replied urgently and vanished into the unit.
When everyone saw his actions, they thought about the space, attempted to enter, and soon concluded that it was accessible.
They quickly informed everyone in the operating room that the space was functioning again and asked if they wanted to transfer to Paradise Hospital.
But there was no response.
