BLOOD MUTANT SYSTEM.-Chapter 447: CH: HUMAN VERSUS GRANIAN (PART 1)
[A few hours later]
Shortly after Grania’s exhibition of the new Granian technology came to an end, Cherry was escorted from the Granian Palace and brought to the same location as her brother.
The Crimson Knight and the Blood Prince exchanged glances once Cherry noticed the two elephants in the room.
’Granian clones that look like us...’
Like her brother, Cherry did not appreciate the sight of two Granians who looked exactly like her and him.
Unlike her brother, however, she did not outright lash out at them in a fit of blind rage and confusion.
Instead, she patiently waited to find out from Gravax himself why he had made Granian clones that resembled them.
"Because..." Gravax explained thoroughly, offering a more honest, detailed, and lengthy explanation to the Crimson Knight than he had given the Blood Prince.
Still, that did little to ease her tension. She didn’t like the sight of the Granian sibling clones one bit. To make matters worse, the two kept staring at their human counterparts with the eeriest glares imaginable—unnerving to both man and Granian alike.
’This is starting to creep me out.’
"There are a couple of tests I wish to conduct, and I’ll need your help," Gravax said to the Blood Mutant siblings. "I, and every other Granian, have seen your strength in one way or another, but I have yet to see just how strong these clones are."
He paused, then turned to face the clones.
"They’re not capable of speech. None of the clones are. I specifically made them that way so they follow orders without fail. What I want to see is how these two will be able to communicate and adapt as they face you two."
"Why us?" Cherry asked. "You’re a strong fighter, and Grania’s an experienced Eneraflux user. Why don’t you two fight them?"
Gravax snapped his finger, and immediately, Granian Cherry formed a blood spike in her hand.
"Does that answer your question now?"
"It...does." Cherry froze, her eyes locked onto her Granian counterpart, who not only looked like her but also had the same abilities as she did.
’If they could make Granians with Blood Mutant abilities all along, what did they need us for?’
In her ignorance, Cherry remained puzzled and kept her thoughts to herself as she continued to stare back at the sibling clones. Even if she asked, she had a feeling Gravax would dismiss her questions. He was good at doing that.
"If that’s all you need us to do," she spoke, "then let’s begin these tests. Are there any rules you have for us to follow?"
Gravax smiled, "Yes. There are a few. The clones are going to learn how to adapt to your fighting styles, so I do not advise you to go all out from the start. Begin simply, then escalate until you corner them.
"Do not hesitate to be as lethal as you possibly can be, but also keep in mind that they won’t hold back either. They won’t kill you, but they will cause you severe damage if given the opportunity."
’Won’t kill us?’ Cherry laughed, amused by Gravax’s comment. ’Does he really believe his clones are that strong?’
As she suppressed her disbelief, Cherry passed a quick glance at her brother and noticed how he, unlike her, did not share in the same mockery she had towards the clones.
He knew something she didn’t, and it reflected in the way his gaze remained fixated on the clones, especially the one that looked like him.
"Here, please keep these on you."
Gravax attached two devices—one on the right sides of their heads and another at the center of their chests—before directing them to a ship that was going to transport them from the excavation site to the surface.
He did the same for the clones and then personally flew them away from the warehouses and craters, deeper into the desolate wilderness—a place where they could fight without restraint.
Accompanying them was Grania, who had taken a personal interest in witnessing the clones’ capabilities.

[Time: High Noon]
A tent filled with monitors and computers stood against the harsh sun. Beneath it, Lord Grania, Lord Gravax, and several of Gravax’s clones observed the battlefield, shielding themselves from the heat.
A few meters away stood Granian Ace and Cherry—two Granian clones created from a fusion of Human, Granian, and Blood Mutant DNA.
Opposite them stood the real Ace and Cherry—the human siblings turned Blood Mutants.
The human siblings, under Gravax’s command, were about to engage in combat with the clones to help the Granian Lord assess their strength. All they had to do was fight to their heart’s content without restraint and not have to fear about killing the clones.
Cherry didn’t know why yet for sure, but her brother knew since he had already witnessed just how close to impossible it was to kill them.
"Okay," Gravax announced, "you two can start."
The command was given, and immediately, Granian Ace and Cherry sprinted for Ace and Cherry.
As they ran, the sibling clones morphed their hands into blood blades while about six tendrils sprouted from their backs.
The first to attack their human counterpart was Granian Ace.
With a swift swing, he unleashed a blood slash—a crescent-shaped wave of blood that shot toward Ace.
The Blood Prince simply stepped aside, effortlessly dodging the attack. Following Gravax’s advice, he refrained from using his full power and relied solely on his physical abilities.
So far, he was holding his own.
After evading the blood slash, Ace and Granian Ace engaged in a fluid exchange—almost like a combat dance of sorts. Ace dodged Granian Ace’s jabs and stabs with precision. The Blood Prince’s raw physical prowess—something he rarely relied on due to his blood abilities—now carried him through the encounter.
Eventually, Granian Ace grew bored and frustrated. Its attacks weren’t landing on its opponent that was too fast. So, it changed tactics.
First, it reverted its arms to normal. Then, it folded them inward, crouched slightly, squatted, and then suddenly exploded outward with a barrage of blood spikes shooting in every direction, piercing anything in their path.
