Chapter 277: Chapter 277

Aaron has long delayed using the random skills scrolls that he got into his hands. He delayed using them for certain reasons, and now that those reasons are cleared, he intends to use a few of them.

The original that he gained long ago, and from the items that Jay showed, Aaron collected quite a few random skill scrolls.

From those he collected, Aaron sent a few scrolls home for his parents to use. Unlike him, who can find skills easily, that’s not the case for his parents. They can only wait till they rank up to get a skill.

So, they had very few skills in their status, which is not at all enough with how the world was and how it turned out in the last few months.

The world was already dangerous as it was, and now it turned out to be even more dangerous, especially with him making waves here and there. It not only brought troubles for him but also for his parents.

Sensing that it could happen, he started to send some items to improve their strength or act as protection temporarily before they could be able to defend themselves.

No matter how much protection an external item provides, that’s still an external item, and they would deteriorate as time passes with the use of the item more and more.

So, the better one’s foundation is, the better their chances at survival, as the foundation would always be there and would grow as one grows. Sure, if there were some internal injuries or when one gets old enough, this foundation may crack, but that could be a long time, and that would certainly happen to items in a very short time.

---

To improve his parents’ strength, Aaron sent many resources and items that can improve their levels, and thereby increase their strength, in addition to some weapons and armour items to protect them in dire situations, which were helpful when some cultists attacked his parents.

When he heard about that, all Aaron wanted to do was go out and hunt down the cultists one by one, but he knew that he lacked the strength to do so. Also, that could leave his parents in an even more vulnerable and dangerous position.

It was why he sent them some of the random skill scrolls that he was in possession of. He has no idea what their luck value is. So, even if they don’t get any class skills, they would get some general skills that could be helpful in protecting themselves.

Whatever skill they get from the random skill scroll can be used by them. So, there was no problem with that, and that was proved when they did get class skills, but he felt that was not enough.

To make sure that they would be safe, he even sent them some attack and defence skills like Mana Ball and Mana Shield, which can be wielded by anyone who has access to mana.

After sending them for his family’s use, the number of random skill scrolls that were in his possession was down to two.

Since the was still time before he absolutely needed to leave the dungeon to return to the fort, he decided to use those two random skill scrolls and see what he would get.

---

As soon as he used those scrolls, he got two new skills which was verified by their names present on the status panel.

--

Skills (Passive): Death Energy Regeneration (Rank 0) (+1%) (New!); Death’s Flaw (Rankless) (New!);

--

Aaron’s luck was good, and from the two random skill scrolls that he used, both skills that he got were pure Death Skills, but both are Passive Skills.

"Hmm, it looks like I am getting passive skills more nowadays, but in a way, they are more beneficial than active skills, as I have to manually cast the skill for that to take effect. Passive skill would be active always", Aaron smiled.

He was right on that point.

Active skills need time to cast, and in that time, the attack may come, and one can get caught in that, but passive skills are active skills that are always active. They don’t need to be cast.

They are much better than Active skills, which need to be manually activated.

"Let’s see what they do, though I have an idea what the first one does, but no idea what the other one does", Aaron thought as he checked the skills.

--

Death Energy Regeneration (Rank 0): Death Energy regeneration is increased by 1%. The rate increases with the increase of skill’s rank.

--

It is quite straightforward. Similar to Mana Regeneration Skill, which would increase the natural mana regeneration of a person, this would do so for Death Energy.

There was nothing new or mysterious about that.

Anyone, even with a grape for a brain, can understand from the name itself.

Next, he checked the second one.1

--

Death’s Flaw (Rankless): Death is absolute, but there are a few that can defy death for a while. The holder of this skill can escape death once a week. The skill holder can ignore any attack that may end the life of the skill holder, no matter what.

--

When Aaron saw the description of the second skill that he had gained, he was shocked. This is definitely an OP skill. Though it was not an attack skill, it could save him from certain death. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦

Though there was a limitation on usage to once per week, it was the greatest skill that he got.

After understanding what it could give him, Aaron started to laugh out loud.

With this skill, he doesn’t need to fear anyone, but of course, there are limitations too. If one can kill him once, there is a chance that they can kill him again, with nothing he could do about that.

Of course, that stands true if the opponent was someone with a higher level of power, as that person could kill him twice in a short gap, and the skill would become useless in such situations.

That might be the case, but Aaron has no intention of initiate battles with someone above his level, at least for now.

---

Ding!

"Oh, it looks like Jay might have come through. Let’s see", Aaron turned his attention towards the next course of action.
