Extra And MC-Chapter 161 - 157 - Amael & Beelzebub
Slowly turning around like a planet orbiting the sun, the gigantic ball of abyssal darkness circled around Amael in the astral plane.
In contrast to how it was the past few millenniums though, half of it was now completely white, the other half pitch-black.
A thin smile was present on the enigmatic man’s face, his eyes still very much closed at the occurrence.
A year ago, just a tiny part of the orb had turned white but gradually, it had spread across and encroached upon the rest of the massive globe’s circumference.
In addition to that, the previous two small orbs that he had also been infusing most of his powers into, was nowhere to be found.
Knowing fully well the cause of both occurrences, Amael was genuinely impressed at the progress the two youths had made in the short span nineteen years they had come back to this world.
They were also the only ones among all those he had previously selected to have ever caused the orb to gradually lighten up till it reached halfway.
’It was already surprising enough that they’ve been given the orbs this early…’
’But, more than that… Zack and Alyssa would be so proud of them…’ he thought to himself, his hand propping his face.
’I do wonder what exactly it was that happened to them on the other planet of Arcano-, Earth I mean, to get them to be so heroic?’ he wondered this time.
Just as he kept musing to himself, the usual occurrence of the gigantic ominous slit happened again.
This time though, when Amael waved his hands to repel it, the unsettling dark-red slit failed to close but instead got wider and wider.
With a sigh of resignation, the white-haired man slowly stood up and hid the giant orb orbiting around him with a wave of his hand as he got ready.
’You’d think he’d give up after millenniums of years but here we are…’
’I’m getting very tired of this dance…’
’Hmmm… weird how even staying in this space for the past few millenniums hasn’t really bothered me but he absolutely ticks me off whenever he does this…’
Those were the thoughts in Amael’s mind as he watched an ominous looking figure slowly appear on the other side of the slit.
"AMAEL!!!" a humanoid figure with horns bellowed out in furious anger.
Slamming his fists on the other side of the dark slit that had now changed into an ominous yet transparent darkish-red glass-like structure, the being seethed in utter fury.
Not willing to answer the Demon King’s furious call of his name, Amael only sneered back in response.
"Damn you, you dastardly human!!!"
"Do you think that you can keep me out of Arcanora forever?!" he banged his scaly-like hands again on the mirror-like structure separating he and the man.
A disastrous wave of immense power instantly rippled through the entire expanse of the astral plane the moment that happened.
"Your powers will eventually run out sooner or later and I’ll ravage this world just like every other planet I’ve conquered!" the Demon King bellowed out in declaration.
This time though, his immense fury had now transformed slowly into a sickening gloat.
His pitch black eyes, sclera and all, portrayed the diabolical gaze in his eyes and even after years and years of battling the being before him, Amael still hated that very look to his absolute core.
"Say what you want Beelzebub. You also said all these millenniums of years ago remember? Now look at you? You’re right back where you freaking started!" Amael replied with a triumphant gloat of his own.
Just like Amael hated Beelzebub’s gloat, the Demon King also loathed the hero’s gloat to the tiniest absolute atom in his body.
"That’s where you’re wrong Amael. I am immortal. You, clearly, are not!"
"And as long as that’s the case, one day, eventually, I’ll conquer every inch of this godforsaken planet that you so much love"

"But I won’t stop there. No, no, no. I’ll make sure to rip each and every inch of it piece, by, piece!" Beelzebub explained, his raspy voice lowered yet ominous as he continued.
"I’ll do it till there’s nothing left! And then, I’ll remake it in my own image"
"Do. Your. Worst." Amael fiercely replied without backing down.
"Hahaha!" Beelzebub maliciously laughed and said.
"Deny it all you want but you’re getting weak and we both know it"
"The other humans won’t ever be able to reach the same heights that you did much less think of being able to stop me"
"So, unless you find a way to unbind yourself from here, this damn loop of ours will continue on till one of us is completely dead"
"And we both know who that’s going to be" he added, a definitive tone in his unnerving voice.
"Yes we do" Amael replied with a conceited, almost borderline overconfident smile on his face.
Having fought with the white-haired man before him for so many years, Beelzebub understood the volumes that single reply of Amael meant.
He knew just how many times he and his minions had lost to him whenever he pulled out that expression and despite his immense powers that was on a cataclysmic scale, the Demon King could say that he feared only one single being in his entire life.
Amael, the hero.
Following those words, the hero stared at the Demon King for a few seconds as a tense silence descended between both of them.
"I will win in the end Amael. That’s inevitable" the Demon King uttered a few words, his expression serious.
"We’re done here Beelzebub" Amael simply replied and snapped his fingers.
Instantly, the unsettling rupture in the astral plane quickly began to close off at an alarming rate.
As it happened, neither beings teared their determined gaze away from each other and eventually the disquieting rupture completely closed off, leaving tranquil silence once again in the expansive white space.
-Sigh…
"He’s right… I can only keep this up for one, maybe two years at most now that most of our mana and prana is with them…" Amael muttered to himself while releasing a tired sigh.
Turning his gaze back to the massively floating orb which was half-black, half-white, the white-haired man muttered again.
"I really hope they’re able to make the best use of all that power…"
"All the sacrifices we had to make…"
"We can’t afford to lose this time, not when we’re so close…"

Five days had passed by since the entire event on Flenor Island took place.
Although the nation itself had lost quite a lot of innocent souls, the casualties, when taken in contrast into the scale of destruction across the entire nation, was unbelievably minute.
That, clearly, was as a result of Aiden and Flynn’s actions.
So many questions were left unanswered by them and yet, there was no way for either their close ones or the government of Flenor to understand how they’d been able to pull it off.
This was especially so, when taken into consideration that ever since that day, they’d just been sleeping, almost as if stuck in a coma.
Right now, in one of the many rooms of the Aquamaris’s hotel, their parents, partners and some instructors were watching over them as they peacefully slept, hoping they would wake up anytime soon.
Not only them, but a lot of parents had come over after hearing about the whole ordeal and even the King and Queen weren’t exempted so the hotel was quite literally, packed.
Considering the teleportation portals had been destroyed in the Railgun’s destructive rampage, emergency ones had to be made just so that officials from Arcadia could quickly come over to help rebuild their nation since they had the closest relationships.
"How long did the doctor say they’d be stuck in this state for" Anna calmly questioned while gently parting the strands of hair on her two son’s forehead, Leopold sitting by her side.
Sucking in a slight breath, Cordelia was the one to gently answer.
"They don’t know for sure but presumably, it might take a long while they said… Possibly months… Years even…"
Hearing that, Anna’s heart tightened in immense pain as she sucked in a sharp breath while their father just heavily massaged his temples in absolute worry.
’Why are they always, always at the center of every goddamn scenario like this?!’ he bitterly thought to himself.
Ivelia and Caroline who were standing on Anna’s other side though, seemed to have been constantly crying for quite a few days, especially when evidenced from their swollen eyes.
But even then, they tried their best to be hopeful as they both held each other’s hands tightly.
Darius who was also in the room, just watched over everything that was happening, a rare somber expression on his face.
This was especially because he genuinely felt like he was at fault for what had happened.
Over the past few days, he had constantly been wondering if things would have turned out even better if he had just stopped Magnus way earlier.
But even then, he wasn’t particularly sure if it would’ve really helped because at the end of the day, things already seemed to have been set in motion even without his old friend’s involvement.
Just as all six in the room were sharing the very somber atmosphere though, Xavier immediately appeared in the midst of the room while speaking.
"You can all be rest assured that they’ll be fine" he said, startling everyone in the room immediately.
Without minding their reactions though, the man continued speaking.
"One month. Within one month, they’ll be awake"
And then, turning to face the Duke and Duchess, he smiled lightly and explained.
"Your kids, they’re very special. Maybe a bit too special…"
"I’m sure you’ve been wondering about so many things regarding why they’re the way they are but you shouldn’t worry too much"
"They probably didn’t tell you anything because they themselves weren’t exactly sure as to how they would explain what exactly it was that happened to them but…"
"Trust me, in due time, they’d be more than willing to share their burdens with you" Xavier concluded with a nostalgic smile and then, without a second wasted, he disappeared again, leaving everyone in the room completely stunned by his words.
