(Fifteen millenniums ago…)

"Are you crazy?! We can’t just allow you deal with him on your own!" Sigrun spat with annoyance, her ears unable to believe what she was hearing.

"Sigrun’s right. This is our burden as much as it’s yours" Senya softly said, agreeing with her sister.

"I have to agree too. Not only is the plan reckless, it’s suicidal" Ashildr also voiced her concerns.

No sooner had she said that, a tense, uncomfortable silence descended upon the six, youthful-looking individuals present in the room, their expressions grim.

Currently in a well-furnished main chamber for the Grandmasters, reminiscent of those from cultivation sects of the past, all six were having a discussion… one that had the fate of the world on the line.

"I think it’s worth a shot…" Xavier broke the silence after a long while, earning him a perplexed yet annoyed gaze from Sigrun.

Before she could even retaliate, another voice interrupted.

"I also think so too…" Morrigan calmly added, causing Sigrun’s head to swivel towards her.

Senya and Ashildr also turned their concerned gazes away from Xavier, resting it on their eldest sister whose expression was as neutral as ever.

"I can’t fucking believe this…" Sigrun muttered under her breath, whilst slightly massaging her temples.

Amael, with his eyes closed and currently leaning on an ancient-looking mahogany desk, let out a tired sigh, drawing everyone’s attention to him.

Opening his eyes, he then turned to face all five as he explained;

"Look. It sounds just as crazy to me, but, considering we’ve seen no changes in the Fate Globe even after all this time, that bastard is inevitably going to win"

"I most definitely won’t allow that." he declared resolutely.

"But still, you taking him and his army all alone while we try to find a way to push him back in the future just doesn’t feel like the best course of action" Senya pointed out.

"And you very well know that Xavier’s authority and powers, despite making him a Time Lord of sorts, comes with a lot of nasty punishments and restrictions" Sigrun also added, still unwilling to go through with such a reckless plan.

"Besides, you also have to consider, if we use too much of our powers, we can end up being a liability if we lose too many important memories alongside it" Ashildr stated, glancing over to Morrigan who seemed unfazed regardless.

"I don’t want to be an empty husk, and I’m sure neither of us want to either" Ashildr gestured to her sisters as she gave her honest thoughts on the matter.

"You won’t need to use most of your powers. I promise" Xavier on the other hand, calmly declared.

"Trust me. Not while I’m around. You won’t. At least not until we figure out a way to truly kill him." he confidently stated.

"Xavier’s right. As long as he’s around, we’ll be fine." Morrigan finally spoke again.

"And, besides, even if we are forced to use a strong portion of our powers, we can always ask him of the things we forget" she concluded, her cool tone and demeanor putting her sisters at ease, if ever so slightly.

Another wave of silence soon descended into the room, this time with everyone really contemplating the possibility of following through with the crazy plan Amael and Xavier had concocted.

"You guys don’t have to worry about me. I’m sure you know that" Amael soon broke the silence as he continued;

"It’s been what now, a few hundred years and yet, contrary to that bastard’s usual habit of taking a millennia or two to attack, he’s been attacking every few hundred-year interval ever since I started facing him and effectively killing him off every time"

"That means he’s scared. Of me. I’m a variable he can’t seem to understand." Amael’s words resounded in their ears, not a single lie in his words.

"And it’s exactly because I’m that, I can confidently tell you that I’ll find a way to kill him off for good. I promise" Amael’s gaze was firm and resolute as he said that.

"…Even if it takes me millenniums of years from now, I’ll make sure to do it. We can’t allow Godfrey’s, Meryl’s, and most especially, Zack and Alyssa’s efforts to go to waste."

"They entrusted the Fate Globe and the Celestial Orbs to me in hopes that I would find a way to make things work out. I can’t let them down. We, can’t let them down" he concluded, his eyes travelling over everyone in the room.

"So, what do you say? Are you in?" Amael then asked with a light smile, already knowing fully what answers he was going to get from the rest of the Valkyries.

(A hundred years later…)

Leaning against the rough walls and staring at the luminescent moon with a tired gaze, Amael took in the quiet ambience of the night from the abyssal crater he was in.

The silence persisted for a very long while, with him pretty much keeping all his thoughts at bay and just burning the very sight of the ethereal moon into his mind.

This moon that Alyssa and Zack so much loved staring at…

It had also become something he himself loved to gaze at…

In a way, it was also how he honored their memory…

Wherever they were, he hoped they were doing great…

But, Amael also knew…

He was going to miss this beautiful sight…

He was going to miss this ethereal view for a very, very long time…

Which was why…

He also wanted to protect it…

So that other people, could see the beauty of it and be similarly enthralled, just like he was…

After about an hour of taking in the lovely sight though, Amael’s first few thoughts then waltzed in, making him smile internally as he spoke;

’Hahaha…’

’I’ve figured it out…’

’That bastard…’

’He didn’t realize it but I never laced that deep gash on his chest with holy magic as he thought…’

’In fact, there’s not even such a thing as Holy magic in Arcanora anyway…’

’Rather, I killed off a portion of his soul with ((Rule Breaker))…’

’Hence why he was never able to heal it no matter how hard he tried…’

’Which means… he’s not immortal as he claims to be…’

’If I could destroy his entire soul in one fell swoop… that’d be the end of him for good…’

’But I don’t have enough prana or aether to do something of such…’

’And I also don’t have much time left to analyze how I could accomplish it…’

Halting his thoughts there, Amael knew very well that he was dying… fast!

Taking down not just the Demon King but also more than half of his generals and the demon kin themselves hadn’t been an easy feat, not even for a single moment.

It was such an impossible task akin to a suicide mission, he understood why Beelzebub had been praising him even in his last moments.

Because despite all the insurmountable odds, he, the Hero, still came out on top, victorious.

But now, victory also came at a price and he was rapidly thinking of what he could do to keep himself alive.

And that was when a pretty stupendous idea hit him…

’What if…’

’What if I take Gaia’s place…’

Even to Amael, that sudden thought was borderline insane to say the least.

But the more he thought about it, the more it began to make a lot of sense.

Gaia was ultimately the creator of this world.

And as the creator of this world, there were certain things only she could comprehend given the amount of time she would’ve spent musing to herself for aeons alone.

’If I had that much time…’

’Wouldn’t I be able to fully analyze the entire process to kill off Beelzebub’s soul for good…’

As Amael kept musing about all these, he started to realize all the other crazy perks that would come with achieving a feat like this.

’I might be able to even close off their fissures into Arcanora for a long time and keep them at bay…’

’Or try resurrecting and transporting people’s souls…’

’Maybe even find one that’d be as strong as me…’

Truly, the possibilities were limitless.

But even he knew that his Authority, ((Rule Breaker)), one that was capable of bending the world to his will in exchange for a pretty hefty sum of his lifespan, wasn’t omnipotent.

’I’d be a fake yes…’ Amael thought to himself, wondering if this was really even worth a shot.

However, having always been the type to never back down from seemingly impossible odds, his gaze became resolute as he declared to himself;

’But there’s nothing that says a fake can’t rival the original!’

With his thoughts now sorted out, his mind clear and his goals set, Amael then opened his mouth;

"Yes. If this is what I must do, then so be it. I will sacrifice whatever’s left of my lifespan to perform this spell."

And just like that, with the will of the world at his fingertips, Amael casted the spell and soon, began to disintegrate into nothingness, his final words, whispery.

"I hope I’m making the right decision…"
