Extra: Yandere Milfs Obsessed with me!-Chapter 249: Nox vs Rosalinda
Rosalinda was what one would call bipolar. She possessed two very distinct personalities that coexisted in the same body.
On one side, there was Rosi. A gentle, attentive and kind young woman. Her magic was oriented toward healing. She always had that worried look when someone was suffering and she instinctively sought to help. Her hands gave off a reassuring warmth when she treated a wound, especially that of Nox whom she loved so much.
On the other side, there was Lady Spina. A cold and possessive personality, capable of brutal violence. She manipulated thick brambles.
Nox already knew these two facets and it did not bother him. On the contrary, he had voluntarily decided to play with her. In his mind, provoking this change made the situation much more interesting and he had been waiting for this moment for a while already.
They faced each other in the silent room. The dim light filtering through the tall windows half-illuminated their faces.
Nox broke the silence. His voice was deliberately provocative, each word chosen to wound.
"I never promised you anything," he said, looking her straight in the eyes.
He had just touched exactly where it hurt.
Rosalinda’s fingers clenched immediately. Her shoulders tensed and her gaze fixed on him with a new intensity. One could see her jaw tighten.
"You had just told me that you cared about me and..." Her eyes narrowed.
"You are mine Nox, you have always been and today is not the day that’s going to change," she answered.
One could feel that she was struggling to contain herself, to keep Rosi in control.
Nox, for his part, continued to display that satisfied smile that never left him. He could clearly see that his provocation was working. He simply needed to add one last remark to tip the situation over.
"Since when do I belong to you exactly?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.
For a second, there was no sound left in the room.
Then a cracking sound rang out.
The floor cracked slightly under their feet. Fine cracks appeared on the stone slabs.
Brambles suddenly emerged from the ground around them. They grew at an abnormal speed, tearing the stone as if it were loose soil.
Rosalinda slowly raised her head. A smile appeared on her face, but it was no longer the previous one. Her eyes had changed. They had become colder, more calculating.
"I told you, you are mine, whether you like it or not," she repeated softly. Her voice grew deeper and deeper as Lady Spina took control. "And I don’t share what belongs to me, not even with Norah, your supposed sister!" she added in a tone that allowed no contestation.
The brambles began to crawl across the floor around them. They moved like snakes, slowly gliding over the stone to encircle Nox. Their thorns scraped the ground with a dry sound.
Nox observed the scene with a satisfied air. He scanned the room, counting the brambles surrounding him.
"Finally some action," he said, satisfied with the result obtained.
Rosalinda, for her part, did not even seem to hear him. She tilted her head slightly to the side, as if listening to something he could not perceive. Her eyes stared into space for a moment.
"Rosi is sad, because of you," she murmured.
Her eyes turned cold again and fixed Nox with murderous intensity. "And Lady Spina is angry."
The brambles exploded toward Nox.
They burst from the ground with brutal speed, sending stone shards in all directions. Each bramble was as thick as an arm and ended in a sharp point.
Nox immediately leaped to the side and narrowly avoided the brambles that struck the ground exactly where he had been standing a second earlier. The impact raised a cloud of dust.
As he landed back on his feet, he began to laugh.
"Good. It’s been a long time since we fought," he said, brushing the dust off his shoulder.
Rosalinda slowly raised her hand in front of her. 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
The brambles wrapped around her arm. They climbed up to her elbow before stopping, ready to strike at the slightest order.
<Anti-Magic>
Suddenly they crumbled as an aura enveloped Nox. Without waiting a second he threw himself directly toward her, leaping forward.
His claws struck the air in front of him.
The brambles immediately surged to block the attack. They rose like a wall between him and Rosalinda.
His claws sliced through the plants with disconcerting ease at the slightest contact. The vines crumbled, leaving only dry stems behind.
But barely had they fallen to the ground when others were already growing in their place. The vines reformed almost instantly, regrowing faster than he could cut them.
Rosalinda advanced slowly toward him. She walked with calm steps.
Each step she took seemed to make more brambles grow around her. The floor became covered in thorny greenery.
Nox stepped back slightly, observing the phenomenon with interest. He mentally noted the regrowth speed, the density of the brambles, the way they responded to Rosalinda’s movements. After all, a mage of her rank was not to be taken lightly.
Meanwhile, at the other end of the room, the others had just finished their own fight. And arrived in the room to help in the battle.
They then noticed the brambles invading the room. They already covered a good part of the floor. Then he saw Rosalinda’s silhouette facing Nox, both in the middle of this aggressive vegetation.
"Who is that?" asked Julian, squinting.
He squinted to better see what was happening in the distance. The distance and the dimness made observation difficult.
But barely was he going to add something when his gaze shifted to the side. He saw Norah, lying on the ground against a wall.
His heart skipped a beat.
"NORAH!" he shouted.
Panic was clearly visible on his face. His features instantly fell apart.
He rushed toward her at a run, nearly slipping on a pool of blood that did not come from her. He almost fell to his knees beside her and gently turned her over, supporting her head with one hand.
She was breathing. He saw her chest rise. But her eyes were half-closed, her eyelids heavy.
He crouched down then took Norah, still in her half-conscious state. He settled her on his leg to keep her in a semi-sitting position.
"What do you feel?" he asked in a hurried voice. "Does it hurt somewhere? You can’t speak?"
He began bombarding her with questions without waiting for answers.
His gaze kept moving from her face to her arms, inspecting every visible centimetre of skin. He gently lifted her sleeves to check that there were no hidden wounds.
But he hesitated in his gestures. He was not sure how to examine someone properly.
After all, apart from fighting, one could not say he was good at playing the role of the perfect little boyfriend. His hands were trembling slightly.
"She’s fine, just a bit shaken and dehydrated," Kaiser intervened upon seeing Julian’s panic.
He knelt in turn on the other side of Norah. His attitude was calmer.
He placed two fingers on her neck to check her pulse, counting the beats. Then he observed her breathing, the regular movement of her chest.
While doing this, he kept an attentive eye on the fight taking place farther away in the room. He regularly lifted his head to check the situation.
"She’ll wake up," he announced, removing his fingers. "She just needs rest. No serious apparent injury."
Hearing that, Julian let out a sigh of relief. The air rushed out of his lungs all at once.
The tension in his shoulders eased slightly. He closed his eyes for a second to calm down.
He then stood up, slipped one arm under Norah’s shoulders and the other under her knees. He carried her carefully, making sure not to bump her head against anything.
He crossed the room to a nearby desk. He swept the scattered papers aside with the back of his hand, letting them fall to the floor, then gently laid Norah on the flat surface.
He arranged her head so she would be comfortable, on her side.
Then he straightened up.
His gaze immediately settled on Rosalinda, still in full combat with Nox. His eyes narrowed.
"It’s definitely because of that bitch that she’s in this state," he growled.
His voice was filled with anger.
His fingers closed around the handle of his sword.
Unable to contain his rage any longer, Julian fully drew his weapon and prepared to join the fight. He took one step forward, then a second.
However, at the moment he was about to speed up, what they saw next made them all hesitate.
