Extra's Path To Demon King-Chapter 95 - 5th Princess

After everyone had selected their weapons, the professor asked them to form a group of three each. Heinz seemed to have brought another girl to join the two of them. Heinz asked with a smug smile, "You know who this is?"

Axel looked at her for a moment, and she was extremely beautiful. Not close enough to the valkyrie, but by normal standards? Yes, very beautiful. She had red hair and greenish eyes. Her attire and the bow in her hand seem to indicate she is an archer. She had a playful smile on her face, a cute-looking face, and quite a desirable figure. She also seemed to be inspecting him from head to toe, with a not-so-honest gaze.

He looked with a frown and asked, "Your girlfriend?"

Heinz almost spat out a mouthful of blood at that comment and started coughing, even the girl became embarrassed and bit red with anger. Heinz cursed, "You bastard, do you think I’m a fuckboy like you?"

The girl looked at him with a wary gaze on hearing that comment, Axel defended himself,

"What fuckboy, I’ve never even held hands with a girl, or kissed a girl either."

Heinz snorted, "Of course, you haven’t. I’m gonna do it before you, hehe."

The girl stepped back from both of them. At this moment, Heinz coughed and said,

"Sorry, we were just joking around."

"Axel, this is Viper, and not my girlfriend."

Axel thought internally instead, ’Why does it feel like you want her to be your girlfriend, though?’

She introduced herself with some hesitation this time, "Hello, I’m Vyra Vanelis. We fought together in the competition, and you know me as Violet Viper."

Axel showed surprise as everything clicked into place, seeing the bow in her hands, he also thought of her last name, Vanelis, which was a prominent noble house in the Suncrest Kingdom, famous for their skilled alchemical heritage. Befriending her is a good idea, he surmised. He introduced himself politely,

"Hello, I am Axel Nomrad."

"Oh, already know who you are, no need for another introduction, nor is it necessary for you to be so polite, considering we have already fought together in the competition back then, though I hope you don’t hold a grudge against us for stealing your kill back then," she surmised.

He shook his head and reassured her, "The only one I hold a grudge against is Green Dagger. If you know anything about that person, I hope you will let me know."

She smiled, "Of course, I also don’t like that person, though I wonder if that makes me seem like a hypocrite."

Heinz chimed in, "OH, please don’t sugarcoat the words viper, it’s one thing to stab him in the back and another thing to try and steal the kill in a fair competition."

Axel also nodded at that gesture, after which Vyra dropped the topic. Axel asked Heinz,

"By the way, how did you even find her or know it was her?"

He scratched his head and answered, "Well, I just saw her and kind of thought that it might be her, considering how she holds the bow, so I simply asked her about it."

Axel’s eyebrows twitched. How dumb is this idiot? Just as he was about to steer the conversation away in another direction, he sensed another person approaching. The person appeared close to them and spoke in an extremely soft and gentle voice that could almost soothe your soul.

Axel looked around and saw the figure. Heinz was already looking at her with wide eyes, and Vyra had a surprised look on her face seeing the person. It was the 5th princess, Lumina Suncrest. Axel was stumped why on the lords name, Lucien’s most protected treasure is here?

He looked at her for a moment, shiny red eyes like rubies sparkling in sunlight. Golden long hair, well-developed chest, curvaceous figure, wearing something like a Japanese yukata, long eyelashes, round face. An extremely innocent face, cherry plump lips. Just looking at her would make any man want to protect this beautiful treasure. Goddamn it, this was another soul charming beauty. But the question was, what was she doing here?

She showed him a smile that would capture the hearts of a thousand men in a single glimpse. She wasn’t the second greatest beauty in the kingdom for nothing, she was the kindest and most considerate among all the royal family members by far. He almost had the desire to grab that thin waist and ravish those forbidden cherry pink lips, like the most delicious thing in the entire world. Which he was pretty sure they were.

She finally spoke aloud, which broke him out of his lustful thoughts, "Would you mind if I joined?"

Heinz also came back to his senses, and the guy seems to be utterly smitten by her. Axel looked around for a moment, the 4th prince seemed to have been joined by the crown princes of the other two kingdoms, no doubt they were trying to humiliate Lucien in one way or the other.

Same with the valkyrie, she was joined by princesses of the other two great kingdoms and female heirs of a few prominent forces of the high society. Her expression was as neutral as always. At this moment, Lucien turned his head towards him and looked at Lumina for a second. He then turned his head and looked towards Axel, and he showed a cold smile.

Axel gulped down slightly, the meaning was clear: ’You look at my sister the wrong way, and you’re dead.’

Next, the Valkyrie also turned her head towards him, an even greater and more penetrating gaze landed on him, that could scorch him alive. Again, the message was crystal clear,

’Touch a single strand of her hair and I will skewer you alive.’

He cursed internally, goddamn it. Why let her come here if you both think I am going to do something to her? He knew very well how badly Lucien cared about his little sister, how overprotective the guy was about her. The guy was a literal siscon. Then there’s the Valkyrie who treated Lumina like her own sister/best friend.

But how could bad thoughts not seep into his mind seeing such a beautiful flower such close up, but why did they only look at him with a scornful gaze and not Heinz? The guy was smitten by the princess even more than he was.

Lumina was still looking at him with an innocent smile, but she was fidgeting her fingers behind, indicating her nervousness. she is truly a pure soul. Even after going through really bad shit on the trial, her kind character never broke. In that sense, she was mentally even stronger than him or Lucien both of whom had obvious changes in their personality after coming out of the trial.

He spoke respectfully, "Uh, of course. Why not? We would be honored to have you with us, Your Highness."

Heinz stammered, "Uh, yes, yes, of course, your highness."

Vyra smiled, "I greet the 5th princess."

Lumina showed a frown on her beautiful face. She shook her head, "No, no, that won’t do. We are not in the royal palace, this is the academy where everyone is equal without exception. Please call me by my name, Lumina or Lumi, if you prefer."

Axel scowled internally, ’Yeah, I would be grilled by both your brother and best friend if I dared say that."

"If I may, princess, that is a bit... inappropriate," stated Axel.

Lumina gave him a stern look, he looked towards Heinz and Vyra but both of them looked away, damn these bitches. He said with some hesitation, "Um, okay, miss Lumina.."

"Just and only just Lumina," she glared at Axel.

He finally sighed in defeat, "Yes, Lumina."

She cheered in joy, but that only made her look even more adorable. She turned towards Heinz and Vyra, to Axel’s disappointment, they quite easily said those words. But being with Heinz for a while, he could see the guy almost die out of nervousness with every word spoken to the princess. He grinned internally. Now this was a good topic to roast the hell out of the bastard.

Lumina looked towards him for a moment, then came suspiciously close to his ears. She wanted to say something only to him, he could feel her breath hitting his cheeks, which involuntarily made him blush. Thankfully, it wasn’t obvious, he could smell her. It was the scent of jasmine, he had to clench his fists not to lose himself in his own wild imaginations.

Heinz looked visibly jealous and gritted his teeth. Vyra looked on with a meaningful smile. The princess spoke to him with a sincere undertone, "I truly am sorry for brother Ken’s behavior and what he did. I do not have any right to say this, but I still hope you can find it in your heart to forgive him and give him another chance to be a better person. He isn’t a bad person at heart, I assure you."

All other thoughts vanished from Axel’s mind when he heard that. The princess moved away and did not say anything more. Axel hid his feelings behind his neutral expression. He let out a sigh as the princess diverted her gaze away from him.

Axel could feel two extremely piercing gazes right at the back of his head, trying to make a hole through his head, for getting so close to Lumina. He began to sweat profusely and tactfully decided not to turn around.
