I Can Contract Beauties-Chapter 61: Gasper’s Plan
Hearing Gasper’s suggestion, Miguel did not move his head even a bit to avoid suspicion. Even without his help, Miguel could escape this carriage by summoning his grimoire in an instant and letting Aaliyah obliterate the bandits.
However, doing so would mean that Aaliyah would be exposed, and Miguel wanted that as the last thing to happen.
Gasper’s suggestion made him another choice. However, doing so would mean that he had to save them from the bandits a hundred percent.
His principle has always been to repay favors and gratitude equally, and return hatred tenfold.
"I’ll see what I can do," he whispered back to Gasper with an equally low voice.
The two bandits who were keeping an eye on them did not notice their interaction, Miguel made sure that the attention was not on them when he whispered.
Gasper smirked as resoluteness appeared in his eyes.
Miguel doesn’t know what he was planning to do, but he could only go along for now.
The next moment, Gasper suddenly stood up. Hands behind his back tied tightly with a rope, he struggled as he looked hatefully at the bandit who kicked him earlier.
His balance was skewed due to the carriage’s movement, his feet firmly planted on the carriage’s flooring, trying to avoid himself from falling.
His actions garnered everyone’s attention, the two bandits turned to look at him with a smirk on their face. No matter what he was planning to do, they were already ready to act and intercept his advances.
However, Gasper’s next action surprised both of them.
"You piece of shit! Do you think I won’t dare to fight you anymore just because I lost to you before?"
Pswuee!
A spit was spat towards Miguel which the latter managed to evade completely.
"What’s going on back there?" Randy turned to look when he heard the sudden commotion.
Without wasting another breath, Gasper grunted and suddenly lunged towards Miguel head-first.
This time, Miguel did not try to evade and allowed Gasper’s head to hit his chest. He braced himself for the impact and the moment it did so, he used the momentum and pivoted backwards even more.
As though equipped with a spring, Miguel’s body seemed to have been yanked backwards forcefully, even managing to break the carriage’s wall as though it was made of a fragile glass.
Time seemed to slow down as the two bandits opened their eyes widely to the sudden situation. They had not expected something like this to happen at all.
Miguel’s body was now outside the carriage, with how fast the carriage was moving, it was apparent what would happen next.
"Stop! Stop the carriage!"
"He’s trying to escape!"
The bandits frantic shout echoed and startled everyone out of their stupor. Even Randy was taken aback by Gasper and Miguel’s sudden altercation and was not able to react in time.
When everyone realized what was going on, Miguel’s foot had already landed perfectly on the ground a dozen meters behind.
When Randy stopped the horses forcefully to look, he only saw Miguel’s disdainful grin before his body slowly sank to the ground.
Randy’s face lost color when he saw him disappear from his view.
At this moment, the leader suddenly arrived beside him.
"What’s going on?"
"S-someone escaped."
"What? Useless bunch of shits!"
"He must not have gone that far, we can still search for him," one of the two bandits stated frantically.
It was their fault and negligence that made Miguel manage to escape, they would surely be punished by the leader later.
Hearing that, the leader looked around before shaking his head.
"There’s no time. This is the territory of that Silver Grade Beast and we can’t afford to offend it now... Just let him be. As long as it’s not Erika that escaped, it’s fine."
Hearing what the leader said, the bandits could only nod their head in agreement. This area was indeed pretty dangerous.
A violent Silver Grade Beast was actually very active in this area. This was also one of the reasons why they rested first earlier as they did not want to stay in this place.
As for Miguel who had escaped, they did not think that he would make it out alive in this area either, so they thought that it was alright to let him be.
Perhaps, only one person amongst the bandit group believed that Miguel might truly be able to escape here alive.
Randy looked at the area where Miguel vanished for the last time before he ordered the Wind Horses to move forward and continue the journey.
Meanwhile, inside the carriage, multiple Pa Pa sounds was heard as Gasper was being beaten up by the two bandits.
However, instead of painful screams, Gasper only let out a victorious smile. Whether this smile was due to his successful plan, or the fact that he managed to hit Miguel, no one knew except for him.
However, one thing was certain. Miguel would surely find ways to save them. Gasper believed in him.
...
A few minutes later, at the area where Miguel vanished from Randy’s sight.
Miguel suddenly sprouted out of the ground and looked at the direction where the bandits set off to.
"Bastard!"
A smile was on his face as he shook his head from Gasper’s antics. He knew that that brat had deliberately lunged at him forcefully earlier.
However, his plan was indeed successful and managed to fool the bandits.
Fortunately, Miguel has quite a strong body now, else, Gasper’s action might have rendered him immovable for a few seconds due to the pain and his plan might have resulted in a failure.
His plan was quite reckless and childish. He was betting all of it to Miguel to make a successful escape even with such a careless plan.
On the other hand, Miguel also heard the leader’s words earlier. He was curious about that Silver Grade Beast, but he was not afraid.
Now that there were no eyes around him, he could finally let loose.
Not even a moment later, Miguel suddenly felt a tremble on the ground beneath him.
