Infinite Origin Summoner:Rise of Good for Nothing Extra-Chapter 45: Azeroth in action
"Damn it! Why are the reinforcements from the Northern Gate City not here yet?"
The Firebull Governor fumed furiously. Firebull City was almost in ruins—the dragons had almost melted the entire city. Today, for the first time, Firebull City was on the verge of extinction, and the Firebull Governor felt powerless to stop it.
Maybe if he was a Sequence Three Lord, things would have been different.
Now he could only pray that the reinforcements arrive on time, or else all his life’s work would go down the drain.
...
Meanwhile, Zarek and his group finally managed to spot the Firebull City in the distance.
Zarek stood on top of the carriage roof, his eyes narrowed to slits, watching the scene in front of him.
The Firebull City seemed to be burning.
Even from here, he could notice dozens of large shadows hovering over the Firebull City, raining firestorms.
Jasmine realized something very terrible had happened and cried out loudly, "Father...!"
She didn’t care about the city, but her father’s life was very precious. Anxious, she shouted at the coachman:
"Old man, hurry up! We need to reach the city as fast as possible!"
Meanwhile, the old coachman’s expression hardened. Without saying another word, he fiercely struck the horse and the carriage immediately turned direction.
If the master were to know he dared to bring the young mistress into such a dangerous city, the coachman would definitely be skinned alive.
The sudden change left everyone stunned, especially Jasmine. She exploded:
"You senile old man! Didn’t you hear what I just said?"
The coachman didn’t reply, his expression firm.
Meanwhile, Zarek’s expression shifted. The nearest teleportation station was only in the Firebull City. If he gave up on this, he would have to travel at least another thousand kilometers to the Northern Gate City.
Zarek couldn’t afford that. Without saying anything, he jumped down from the carriage. Zerin, although slightly surprised, quickly followed behind him.
The coachman looked at the two in surprise, not expecting them to make such a stupid decision, but he didn’t say anything as their life and death had nothing to do with them.
Jasmine’s carriage, along with several others, was already speeding away. Firebull City was done for—no one in their right mind wanted to be anywhere near the city.
Jasmine called out for the last time while gritting her teeth, "Stop this carriage right instantly!" but the coachman ignored her words.
However, to the coachman’s horror, following Zarek’s example, Jasmine also jumped down.
At this time, maybe the carriage’s speed was too fast. Instead of safely landing like Zarek, her legs slipped and Jasmine rolled down like a log.
However, Jasmine was also an awakener and soon she was able to get a hold of herself and chase after Zarek.
"Wait, I will also come with you!"
"Young miss!" The coachman also had no choice but to turn the carriage once again. His sudden action disrupted the surrounding crowd and they cursed:
"Watch out, old man!"
"Old man, are you tired of living?"
...
"Dragons...!"
Zarek muttered with a sharp glint in his eyes. He was very interested in these creatures. Just with one look, these dragons were mostly at the first sequence. If they were at the second sequence, the Firebull City would be nothing more than a burning ball of fire.
However, before doing anything, he wanted to check the state of the teleportation station.
As such, Zarek rushed at the fastest speed possible.
As soon as he got to the city boundary, rampaging monsters noticed his figure and immediately rushed toward him.
Witnessing this, Zerin came forward and idly said, "Master, let me take care of them."
Zarek, however, shook his head and said, "No need."
It wasn’t like he didn’t want her to help, but how much could she even help? He had to rush toward the city center at the fastest speed and make sure the teleportation station was fine. And if it wasn’t... hmm!
At that thought, Zarek’s eyes turned slightly cold. These monsters would have to pay a price.
Zerin also shut up once she noticed the coldness in Zarek’s eyes.
Jasmine’s eyebrows frowned, not understanding Zarek’s behavior. Although she knew the black-haired young man was strong, there was no need to say no to help.
Although Zarek’s attitude displeased her, she didn’t lash out.
Meanwhile, just as she was inwardly complaining, Zarek uttered a single word:
"All In!"
Jasmine was forced to widen her eyes as suddenly a strong pressure seemed to have descended on the surroundings.
This pressure was created by the seventy-three points of mana flowing through Zarek’s veins. The next moment, however, something else caught her attention.
All around Zarek, multiple spots of light appeared followed by the appearance of goblins...? Exactly seventy-three in total, all dressed in golden armor, like knights from the past.
The one at the forefront even had a sword in his hand—a blood-colored sword.
Misery Prime immediately let out a terrifying war cry and with a roar charged toward the oncoming monsters.
Meanwhile, Jasmine had frozen in horror, thinking they were suddenly surrounded by dozens of goblins.
However, when she saw these goblins, instead of attacking them, fought with the monsters, her expression changed.
"What the hell is going on?"
Zarek didn’t care about her shock, but frowned. The summoning just now seemed to have used almost half of his total mana.
This was a very large amount.
Realizing his weakness, Zarek decided to look for mana recovery options when he got the chance.
Meanwhile, a symphony of notifications had started going off in his head one after the other as his legion of armored goblins slaughtered the monsters.
Zarek’s Miseries were already epic grade summons, while most of the monsters were either regular or rare grade.
"Charge, brothers! Fight for honor! Fight to bring glory for the master!"
Misery Prime howled while brandishing the Bloodseer sword like a death god’s scythe.
Instantly, in no time, a path leading directly inside the city had been opened up.
Zarek wasted no time and rushed inside.
Just at that moment, maybe the commotion created by the Miseries was too loud, or maybe the earlier disturbance created by the Miseries’ summoning—the reason wasn’t clear—but one of the fire-breathing dragons dived downward.
Its draconic eyes filled with killing intent, locking on the Miseries below.
Zarek, even when running, felt the gaze of the draconic creature focusing on his figure. Immediately, a sense of instinctual terror gripped his heart, the reaction similar to prey in the wild when it encountered its apex predator.
"Hmmph!" Zarek tried to get his body to react normally, but no matter what he did, the situation didn’t change. Without even him realizing, all the hairs on his body had stood up straight.
"Come on! This flying lizard is not enough to make me fear." The situation was extremely contradictory. Zarek, as a conscious human, didn’t feel any fear, but his body, evolving through millions of years, feared the fire-breathing death incarnate.
The dragon stopped when it was only a few meters away from Zarek’s figure. With every flap of its wings, it created a massive windstorm that threw normal monsters flying in the air.
At such close distance, Zarek was able to take a better look at the dragon.
And with just one look, Zarek had to admit his own body’s reaction was extremely valid. The dragon was more than ten meters long, with triangular scales covering its entire figure from its massive head to its tail. Below its head were two gigantic holes from where smoke was constantly pouring out. Its two vertical eyes scanned with strange intensity, as if wondering how this tiny human caused so much disturbance in the surrounding mana.
The commotion created by Zarek summoning all the Miseries at once was tremendous and could be easily felt a few kilometers away. It had created a ripple in the serene mana present in the surroundings.
"Master, you run while I distract this flying lizard..." Zerin, standing in front of Zarek, calmly said, her eyes filled with infinite fighting spirit. Meanwhile, everyone else had been simply frozen into a statue, unable to react at all. This was the suppression brought by a being which was simply superior.
To Jasmine, it looked as if she was breathing for the very last time. Even though she was so close, yet she was unable to meet her father.
In a different corner of the city, the Firebull Governor looked toward the city’s outer wall with a sense of trepidation in his heart, as if someone really close to him was in danger. Because of the smoke and other obstructions, he didn’t have a clear view of the dragon at the outer city.
Immediately thinking of something, the Firebull Governor’s face turned pale.
Suddenly a single sentence escaped his lips:
"Jasmine, my little girl, why have you returned?"
His thoughts had barely reached this point when the Firebull Governor stopped whatever he was doing and immediately dived toward the outer city. He moved as fast as lightning.
"Just hold on for a moment, Jasmine! Father is coming to save you!"gdfg
