Last Ruler Of The Empty Throne-Chapter 107: Truest emotions
Jon’s eyes opened slowly as he took in his surrounding,
He didn’t trash around as he had always done when he woke up in an unfamiliar place. In the first instance, he remembered he was with Alexa and Gar’al before he fainted and he didn’t think anything would happen to them on the way back to the camp.
So, upon seeing a curtain, a nice-looking ceiling and the feeling of his body on something, he knew he was in a room.
’Just a little more,’ with that, he closed his eyes again and drifted into another sleep.
3 hours later,
He opened his eyes again.
Then he frowned. ’I want to sleep again.’ The thought suddenly came to him, he suddenly didn’t feel like doing anything.
However, that wasn’t a choice.
The world was getting more dangerous by the day, and he was also a leader. He couldn’t just do whatever he wanted, there was a need for balance in his way of life.
So, with a grumbling face, he sat up and scanned the room. Immediately scanning the bathroom, he smiled again and went towards that direction.
He didn’t waste time and,
SPLASH
He entered the steaming bathtub with a grunt. As his body dissolved into the water, the remaining blood and dead skin on his body Victoria couldn’t treat came out and colored the water red.
Though he had been cleaned with mana, it wasn’t thorough, and it didn’t clean all parts, so with time on his side, he thoroughly washed his body.
He replaced the water from the tub when it was starting to look brown and entered it again,
This time, he even spent even more time than his three hours sleep. He was smiling, in a bathtub, he felt complete that way, that was until a certain person couldn’t take it anymore.
"Will you finish already?" Amelia suddenly appeared above the bathtub and staring at Jon.
Jon stared at her for a moment, and as if it just occurred to him,
"THE HELL..." he immediately ran out of the bathtub while covering his little brother.
"Haa..." Amelia just shook her head as she looked at Jo’s retreating figure. She had been here waiting for Jon for the past three days. And even when he woke, she was about to appear when he went to sleep again. She had thought he would sleep for another number of days, only to wake up about three hours later.
When she thought she could appear, he immediately went to the bathroom. And he was actually spending more time in the bathroom than sleeping, it was really strange.
So, she couldn’t take it again and appeared in the bathtub, so one could say Amelia had seen EVERYTHING.
As Jon ran out, "Fuck," he screamed at himself. It wasn’t like he couldn’t see her, after all he had a skill for it, ’I should have checked?’ He gritted his teeth as he gritted his wore his clothes.
About five minutes later,
Amelia was right in front of him. It was time for the so many unanswered questions. And strangely, when she was ready to ask the questions, they weren’t so much again. It was like she forgot everything she had thought of.
However, one couldn’t underestimate an existence like Amelia.
So, she asked, "Who are you?"
Actually, that was the only she had. Others just led to this kind of question, and it really meant a lot coming from Amelia.
"What?" It was no surprise; Jon was shocked at her question. Of all the answers he prepared, it was the least he was prepared for. But he still answered, he promised after all,
"Well for starters, my name is Jon Whyte, I’ll soon clock 20 and I was a Physics student."
"So that’s why..." Amelia’s voice trailed off as she murmured. No one knew if she heard the rest of what he said, however she was peerless, so she could have heard it, right?
She only focused on his name. When she saw him release the bluish mist from him and even when he kept using moon, she thought he might have had a connection a certain group. Now hearing his name, it confirmed it.
’But why is he here?’ She couldn’t understand. If he was born in the clan, he would have been certainly stronger than he was now. Maybe not in raw strength but in level, maybe he would already be in his later second realm.
She understood that growing in a world that just began evolution was far more dangerous than one that was stable, basically the later generations became weaker. And Jon wouldn’t have been an exception. If before she thought, he got the things he had easily, now her mindset had changed.
Just from watching the fight against the ape, she understood a lot about him. And maybe going on, she would think the rewards he was getting were actually lacking to his achievements.
"Hmm..." Jon saw the expression she made, as if she knew him from somewhere. However that was impossible, she was simply too beautiful to forget about. His mind whirred as he tried to make connections.
’Does she know my parents.’ He suddenly had this thought, and it wasn’t without proof. He had already said he had a feeling his parents knew about this issue. But if she knew his parents, she would have immediately asked about their relations, however she didn’t. Meaning it was one thing left, his surname.
"Do you know my surname?" He asked as if he was naïve about the situation.
And Amelia looked at him and answered, "More than popular, anyways...you can ask your questions too."
"What?" Jon was really confused right now. She had said she had a lot of questions for him, but now she had run out of questions after the first me.
"I know, but I think I have most of it cleared up, I will ask as they come." She felt like it was better, and she could even use the opportunity to keep asking questions.
’Does she plan to stay.’ Jon didn’t know how to feel from what she had said. Her saying she would ask as they came meant she would be staying, he didn’t know if he was comfortable with a peerless existence always following him around.
But he wouldn’t give up the opportunity of asking his own questions, but first and foremost, "Who are you?"
He returned the question she asked back,
"Me?" Not expecting the same question, Amelia was taken aback a bit. But she quickly regained her composure and spoke, "I am Amelia, a 6th realm expert of the Heavenly palace."
Jon sucked his breath as he heard her. It was like as she was talking, the air became heavier. He had known she was strong, but this was something else. From her name going to her faction, each of them sounded strong.
He immediately remembered a while back when he was about to attack her, he truly didn’t have a chance. A later second was too much for the current him, not to talk of a sixth realm. He wouldn’t even know how he died if they fought.
Surprisingly, he immediately regained his composure, sure he was impressed by their strength but that was all. The world had just fallen in less than two months, he couldn’t start wishing he was a peerless existence too.
Given enough time and opportunities, he felt he could also reach it.
And Amelia could see the change in his demeanor, she had thought he would immediately change the way he addressed her or start bowing to her; however he even became bolder.
’Not bad’
That was all she said in her mind and Jon asked another question.
"This next question is one we have been asking since it happened," As he was explaining, Amelia could already guess his question.
And true to the guesses he continued, "What’s happening? Suddenly we were doing our things and then people started turning into zombies, everywhere was burning, accidents all over, how did all of it happen?"
Maybe because he never had anyone that could give him an explanation, he himself didn’t know how much he was holding in him. And strangely, Amelia felt like she could understand him. Upon following them to the camp, she realized Jon was the leader of the camp.
And from his looks and attitude, he was very young. Even hearing 19, she knew he was very young. That type of person was already leading, and not in a normal situation, no, it was a situation that might as well be the end of the world. And as saying went, a leader could not fall or despair no matter the situation, but who said a leader didn’t also need support.
Normally, Jon would keep everything with his ’Composure’. He would bottle up the emotions, suppress them and even discard them. However, in front of Amelia, he felt all of the traits useless. It seemed he was now in his truest emotions.
