Madam Wants To Divorce Her Second Husband-Chapter 54
Chapter 54: Chapter 54
Cindy had a moment of triumph after successfully shutting Winter up in the elevator. It was obvious that Winter was jealous of her because she was younger, sexier, and smarter.
’Heh, someone like her dead husband might have loved her because she was young and fresh back then. But she’s an old lady now. She’s already past her expiry date, unlike me,’ Cindy thought as the elevator reached its destination. ’Sebastian is young. He must like someone his age or younger. After all, men age slower than women, so a younger and more vibrant wife would be best for him.’
Cindy stared at her sister’s cold expression.
Usually, Cindy would’ve apologized right after fighting with Winter. It was the right thing to do because she had to understand and know her place.
But now that she realized she had been an idiot the whole time while Winter lived such a happy and fulfilling life while she was stuck in that apartment with their old mother, Cindy knew she had to stand her ground and fight against her greedy sister or she wouldn’t have a good life at all.
When the elevator door opened, she quickly dashed to the CEO’s office door, ignoring Iris, who was busy with the emails she had to check.
Cindy didn’t knock because she was too excited to meet with Sebastian. The moment she entered the CEO’s office, she saw Sebastian focused on his phone, smiling while looking at the screen, so much so that he didn’t even notice the door had been opened and Cindy had entered the office.
Sebastian’s sweet smile made him look like a completely different person, especially compared to when they met yesterday.
Cindy wasn’t stupid not to realize that Sebastian was probably looking at a picture of a beautiful lady, and that was the smile of someone in love.
’But that woman can’t be Winter, right? My sister’s sagging tits wouldn’t be enough to make him show that kind of smile,’ Cindy theorized. She had a bad premonition in her heart. ’Wait, don’t tell me that he’s already cheating with another woman less than a week after their wedding, or maybe he had a girlfriend even before dating Winter. Damn, as expected, he doesn’t love her at all. He’s probably in it just for the money.’
’But I heard from Iris that Sebastian already worked as a CEO in a branch company, so he already had enough money. So what’s the point of marrying a grandma?’
Cindy wasn’t angry with the idea that Sebastian already had another woman in his heart. She was confident in her appearance. She might not be the most beautiful woman on earth, but if someone as average as Winter could get two hot and rich men, she could do even better!
All she needed was enough time to spend with Sebastian, and he would eventually be hers, charmed by her adorable face and sexy body—a deadly combination for any man. If that didn’t work, she could use the primitive method of sex.
At least, that was her plan because Cindy had never been in a relationship before.
She had never been interested in anyone, men or women, before meeting Sebastian. So all she had right now was confidence and a good plan, and (hopefully) Sebastian would fall in love with her.
’You got this, Cindy. If Winter, with her mediocre face, can do it, then you can do better!’ Cindy encouraged herself before slowly approaching his desk and greeting him, "Good morning, boss!"
"What the—!" Sebastian was caught off guard when Cindy suddenly appeared in front of him. He quickly hid the phone screen and looked at her angrily.
"The fuck are you doing here?! Do you not know how to knock?!" Sebastian scolded her harshly. He was on cloud nine while looking at a picture of Winter on his phone.
Before he married Winter, he had gone on a few ’dates’ with her, though it felt more like job interviews for him.
But they always took selfies together, and Winter always gave a thin smile in those selfies. She didn’t look too happy, but her smile wasn’t fake.
Unfortunately, he lost all these pictures when he lost his phone. So, the first thing he did after going back in time was to check all the pictures he had with Winter and upload them to iCloud to ensure he wouldn’t lose them again.
Thus, he spent his morning in the office staring at Winter’s face, rubbing her lips on the phone screen, wishing to transfer her sweet smile to the current Winter.
But it was all ruined when Cindy suddenly popped out of nowhere like a fucking ghost!
Cindy was slightly intimidated by Sebastian’s eyes, which seemed genuinely angry at her for interrupting his time. She didn’t have time to peek at the girl’s face on his phone, but Cindy was the one who stood in front of him. Shouldn’t he at least try to be nice to her?! frёeωebɳovel.com
’He scolded me even though I was acting cute...’ Cindy was sad that Sebastian didn’t appreciate her little playful time. ’But it’s okay. He must’ve been surprised by me. I can fix this.’
"S-sorry, Sebastian, ah—I mean, Mr. Saenz. I was just trying to greet you in the morning," Cindy said, giggling at her cute mistake. "I’m sorry that I keep referring to you as Sebastian. I think it’s a habit."
Sebastian disliked how this woman barged into his office without knocking and still dared to refer to him by his first name instead of Sir or Mr. Saenz.
It was a sign of unprofessional behavior, and Sebastian did not tolerate this kind of conduct.
Unfortunately, he couldn’t just fire her because he had a bet with Winter, with the amazing prize of sharing a bed with her.
So, he had to endure these unpleasantries for a while.
"What are you doing here?" Sebastian asked bluntly. "If you have nothing to do, go to Iris and help her. You need to learn from her as an intern."
