Magus Supremacy-Chapter 759: The Might of the Vice Clan Leader (2)
Chapter 759
"Lightning magic: Rashringa."
Around the hands of the mysterious man, twin blazing orbs of lightning—each the size of a sun—appeared in view, and with a thunderous explosion, they were released towards Grey.
Seeing the attack heading his way, the wind element instantaneously wrapped around the mage and launched him into the air with full force.
This helped him narrowly dodge the attack.
The orbs not only burnt the ground beneath them, they raced onward, tearing through the landscape as if it were nothing more than paper.
No doubt, some warriors near the portal would have noticed by now.
But Grey didn’t care.
Midair, he slashed Clara a dozen times in a single second, unleashing invisible Ki slashes towards the mysterious man.
He didn’t need to see the attack to react.
Because in the man’s hands, a pair of lightning-forged swords materialized instantly, and the next second, his limbs became a blur.
He smashed through the incoming slashes as if they were nothing.
Sparks scattered through the air like a blacksmith hammering steel upon steel.
Grey didn’t relent though.
With a firm kick against the air itself, he launched himself downward at an impossible level of speed.
Ki, lightning, and the wind element swirled fiercely around him, boosting his momentum to unimaginable heights.
To the extent that, in the blink of an eye, he appeared before the mage like he had always been there.
He wasted no time swinging Clara towards the mysterious man. 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂
But then—
CLANG—!
A blast of wind erupted from the block.
The ground beneath the duo shattered in a second as rocks and dust billowed violently into the air.
A five-metre chasm materialized beneath them as the two glared at each other with raw intensity.
Gunlag stood with a stupefied expression on his face at the exchange between the two.
’Is-Is this the person I wanted to attack because of jealousy? What did I do in my previous life to deserve this mercy?’
His heart raced with every clash between the two.
His men had already run away the moment they realized the vice leader of the Waterfall Clan was present.
This left only Gunlag as the sole witness to the clash between two true powerhouses.
’But the question remains though; what kind of abilities are they using? It’s beautiful and destructive at the same time.’
Bang, Bang, Bang—!
Clang—!
The continuous clashes rang out with pure fury and intensity.
They danced across the battlefield like a pair of deadly ballet dancers.
Each collision sent cracks spiderwebbing across the terrain beneath them.
Occasional blasts of wind and sometimes stray elemental attacks continued to further destroy the surroundings relentlessly.
Until—
Swooosh—!
A violent wind gale burst from Grey’s palms, smashing into the mysterious man with the force of a bullet train and lifting him clean off his feet.
Blood trickled from the corner of his mouth as his body hung suspended mid-motion.
But the next second, he kicked against the air itself.
Then launched back at the warrior mage at more than double his previous speed.
Before Grey could even think of reacting, a brutal headbutt smashed into him, driving his body into the ground with thunderous force.
A sharp hollow formed in the blink of an eye as saliva burst from Grey’s mouth upon impact.
’He is strong. Quite strong. This is... fun.’
His eyeballs rolled slightly as he caught sight of the man in the air, already crashing back down towards his body.
With a grunt, Grey lifted his hand, pointing it forward, then whispered:
"Kaiser."
Creeeeeee—!
An enormous wind bird suddenly burst into view like it had always been there, and with it came dozens upon dozens of compressed wind projectiles shooting towards the mysterious man, catching him completely off guard.
With no way to dodge while midair, he immediately dug his hand into his pocket and pulled out a parchment.
Quickly mumbling some words under his breath, he hurled the parchment into the air while shouting;
"Ignite!"
The parchment caught fire in a split second, and a roaring torrent of flames screamed out, smashing into the incoming wind projectiles and burning through them as if they were nothing.
This allowed the mysterious man to land a few metres away, though he still coughed intermittently, specks of blood escaping his lips with each strained breath.
With a final grunt, Grey burst out of the crater he had been slammed into and bolted towards the man, who now looked—clearly a little weakened.
"After I’m done with you, it will be Orion’s turn next month!" Grey screamed fiercely as a bright beam of flames enveloped his hand.
The moment he appeared before the man, he thrust his palms forward, unleashing the inferno straight towards the mysterious figure.
Lightning crackled violently around the man’s body as he vaulted to the side in the nick of time.
Whatever grassy terrain was still left was instantly consumed by Grey’s flames, leaving nothing behind but scorched earth and the lingering scent of ash.
It was at that moment that footsteps echoed from behind.
Turning to look, Gunlag saw members of the Crimson Lotus Clan rushing over, along with a few warriors who had come through the portal to hunt.
Stopping just a metre away from Gunlag, everyone froze at the sight before them.
"Wait. Who is Grey battling with so much vigour?" Lance questioned as he stared at Grey’s figure, a deep frown etched onto his face.
Alba merely smirked, licking her lips slowly.
"Now this will be fun. I finally get to see the Supreme Magus’ real power."
The title the woman mentioned immediately caught Gunlag’s attention as he lifted his head, staring fixedly at Grey’s back.
’The Supreme Magus? As in ’The’ Supreme Magus?!’
"...."
"And when I’m done with Orion, I will wipe all Otherworlders from the surface of this earth—including those who associate with them." Grey added as he was about to take another step forward, when he noticed the mysterious man raise his hand into the air.
"That’s enough. I have seen and heard more than enough. It’s evident now—you are not with them."
"Huh?" Grey paused with a raised eyebrow, still on guard, but no longer in full battle mode.
The mysterious man chuckled deeply as he wiped the bloodstains from his lips before continuing;
"It’s also safe to say... we both share the same goal. To eliminate Orion Stormvale and take down the Otherworlders."
Grey’s eyes widened in shock at those words.
"Wait, what?!"
