Chapter 785

While Mada was pretty much getting blindsided, Noelle along with the trio of boys had already put the beast in quite the peculiar situation.

Finral and Liam attacked its face from both sides with their swords while Ray sent a powerful ki-infused punch shooting forward at fast-paced speed.

They had successfully boxed the beast in the middle, leaving it unsure of which attack to actually avoid.

But then, to everybody’s shock, the beast decided not to avoid any of them.

The attacks all landed with crushing force as Liam and Finral’s blades cut inches deep into the beast’s face.

Its thick fur tightened around their swords, refusing to let the steel sink any further.

Meanwhile, Ray’s punch was only enough to send the creature sliding roughly ten inches backward, without even a flicker of pain crossing its eyes or massive body.

The punch that sent the beast skidding away also allowed it to quickly untangle itself from the grip of the whip.

Before the students were given even a heartbeat to react, it leaned forward and suddenly exploded ahead—

In a flash, it appeared directly before Ray.

Its claws streaked toward the warrior’s head at blazing speed.

Yet—

Ki surged violently around Ray’s body as he tilted his head to the side, narrowly avoiding the claw as it whooshed past his face.

Before he could even process his escape, a second claw descended from above.

Swooping in at that critical moment was Finral.

His sword was raised just in time, intercepting the strike before it could meet Ray.

It took everything he had to hold the claw back, his boots scraping against the ground as the overwhelming force pushed him backward.

"Come on!" Finral roared into the air as he strained, veins bulging, before finally managing to knock the claw aside.

Then, in one fluid motion, he hauled his blade forward and slashed at the beast’s exposed body.

Unfortunately for him, the beast was simply too fast.

It pivoted sharply on one hoove, its massive frame twisting unnaturally as it slipped behind Finral, the sword cutting nothing but empty air.

The warrior was caught completely off guard.

His eyes widened in shock as he desperately tried to turn around and prepare a counterattack.

Too bad he didn’t have the time.

A punch was already heading straight for his head at terrifying velocity.

BAM—!

Wooosh—!

A violent gust of wind slammed into Finral with immense force, sending him skidding across the ground.

His vision wavered briefly before steadying, allowing him to fully see what—no, who—had saved him.

Standing in his previous position was Ray.

His hands were crossed firmly in front of his face, all of his Ki concentrated around his forearms, reinforcing them to withstand the impact.

But even then—

"Kuk... ack..."

Blood gushed from Ray’s mouth as every fiber of his being struggled not to be sent flying.

His arms trembled violently, as if a powerful vibration had passed through them, rattling even his bones.

The beast visibly frowned.

The fact that a mere pest dared to shield prey it had already set its eyes on clearly angered it.

With a furious snarl, it swung its free hand toward Ray’s face at blazing speed.

But before the attack could connect—

Noelle crossed the distance between them in an instant.

Vaulting off the ground, she launched a brutal double kick that connected squarely with the beast’s chin, sending its massive body tumbling backward.

The moment her feet touched the ground, she exploded forward again.

Her whip lashed out at break-neck speed, snapping through the air before instantly coiling around the beast’s horns.

Gripping the handle tightly, the weapon curled smoothly around its target, and with a powerful tug, she yanked hard—

Sending the beast staggering toward her like a drunkard or something.

"NOW!" she screamed loudly, and bolting past her was Ray.

Despite his injury, he didn’t care. Mid-dash, Ki rapidly spread around his hand, condensing tightly around his gauntlet.

’I-I won’t use the special effects of this gauntlet, Grey. I want to show you that I can do this without relying on your gift or power,’

Ray mused inwardly with grim determination as he emerged before the beast in a split second.

His hands shook with immense power, and with all the might he could call upon, he hurled his arm upward from below in a devastating uppercut that connected directly with the beast’s face.

Wam—!

Bang—!

A deep crevice instantly tore open beneath their feet as Ray’s gauntlet cracked violently against the beast’s skull.

One other thing cracked as well.

The beast’s horn.

One of them fractured violently and, moments later, shattered into mere splinters that scattered through the air.

The goat beast was lifted clean off its feet and would have gone flying if not for Noelle’s quick reaction.

In a flash, she uncurled her whip from its horn and wrapped it tightly around its leg.

Ki flowed desperately into her hands as she pulled with everything she had, then violently slammed the beast straight into the ground—widening the crevice beneath its body and kicking up a massive cloud of dust.

Silence followed.

All eyes darted between Mada and the others, struggling to stay glued to what was unfolding before them.

In fact, they couldn’t believe what they were seeing.

Even though the majority of the spectators believed the students were performing poorly, the more experienced warriors in the arena could clearly see just how impressive their feats truly were.

From Mada holding a beast back on his own, to the others restraining one together—and even dealing damage to it... even if minimal.

As the dust finally settled, the beast rose slowly from the ground.

Its eyes burned with a murderous red gleam as it stared at the students standing before it.

It took a step forward—

Only for Finral to swing his sword repeatedly, sending several slashes of invisible Ki screaming toward the beast.

However, with nothing more than a casual flick of its hand, the beast shattered every single attack without even flinching.

Ray was just about to charge forward and drag the fight into close-quarters combat.

As if reading his mind, the beast suddenly darted forward in a blur.

Within the blink of an eye, its claws balled into a fist that streaked ahead at break-neck speed.

"F*ck," Ray cursed loudly as he crossed his arms in front of his face.

But it wasn’t enough.

The fist crashed into him with the force of a battering ram.

Crack—!

Ray’s limbs fractured as his entire body was blasted away at tremendous speed.
