My Wife is a Hidden Big Shot-Chapter 254 - 248: Go Back for Extra Training
"Hahaha... My Little Flower is extremely venomous," the man cackled, triumphant.
The struggles of the weak are always fleeting.
"Oh...?"
Aurora Sinclair, who had seemingly been bitten, pinched the snake’s head and slowly raised it.
A bolt of Power struck its vital point. The tail wrapped around her wrist gradually went soft, finally dangling like a piece of decorative cord.
"Little Flower—!" the man yelled. He glared viciously at Aurora Sinclair, his pupils slowly turning amber as he stared at her like a snake.
His hair began to lighten at the roots, and the Power emanating from him surged, breaking past the level of a Martial King.
Aurora Sinclair glanced at him and vanished once more. A flicker of an afterimage, and the man who’d raised his gun for a sneak attack suffered another broken bone as his weapon clattered to the floor.
One of them was even coiled in the grip of the massive python.
The man’s heart seized. He launched a vicious palm strike at Aurora Sinclair’s back, only to be met with a kick to the chest.
The kick was so powerful it shattered his defenses completely.
The Power cloaking his body dissipated in an instant.
Immediately after, a fist as hard as iron slammed into his chest.
With every punch, a domineering surge of Power invaded his body, wrecking his meridians.
Suddenly, a searing pain erupted in his lower abdomen.
"No—!"
Aurora Sinclair’s hands didn’t stop. Her rapid-fire punches struck all the major pressure points on his torso, her Power as sharp as a blade.
A series of sickening CRACKS and CRUNCHES followed.
Tendons were torn, bones dislocated, cracked, and his meridians severed.
It was the most vicious technique of the Radiant Void Sect. It wouldn’t kill, but the victim would spend the rest of their days in excruciating agony—a fate worse than death.
The man lay on the ground like a mangled slab of meat, able to move nothing but his eyes.
He had been deprived of even the ability to scream in pain.
Aurora Sinclair stared down at him.
She suddenly recalled something Master Aerion had said years ago: ’Beyond deterring other nations, the most important duty of a Guardian is to suppress the evil within humanity.’
She hadn’t understood it then, but now, she thought she was beginning to.
’Some people can’t even be called human anymore.’

On the computer controlling the surveillance system, strings of code began to fly across the screen.
Aurora Sinclair watched on the screen as Alvin Morgan typed on an infrared keyboard projected onto the wall.
A man walked over to get a better look, only to be scared back by a single glare from Alvin.
’It’s just like his interactions with Mr. Beta.’
After some time, a mechanical voice finally sounded from the computer: "You have obtained highest-level access to the surveillance system."
A few lines of text appeared on the computer screen:
[Aurora, I’ve dealt with all the external surveillance feeds. You need to find the defense system console. Get me highest-level access to that, too.]
Aurora Sinclair stood up and scanned the room. There was nothing here but monitors. There didn’t seem to be any defense system console.
She immediately roused one of the people in hazmat suits and demanded the location.
The person answered, trembling, before she knocked them out again.
Aurora Sinclair glanced at the three men on the floor, then stripped off Lord Serpent’s black cloak and mask.
Beneath the mask, a colorful, venomous snake was tattooed across the man’s face, seeming to glare at her menacingly.
Aurora Sinclair pursed her lips, found a black cloth, and covered his face with it.
After securing all three of them, she took the access cards she’d confiscated and headed out.
The hallway outside was still silent. Once through the large iron door, she could see people in the glass-walled rooms on either side.
They were all engrossed in their work, not even looking up from their seats at the sight of Aurora Sinclair. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺
Aurora Sinclair did a full sweep of the area and zeroed in on one room. It was the only one with a control console.
"Lord Serpent?"
The words had barely left his mouth before a single punch knocked him unconscious. In the next instant, everyone else in the room was on the floor.
Before anyone outside could notice the commotion, Aurora Sinclair hit a button, and the glass walls turned opaque.
She connected her watch to the console.
Strings of code she didn’t recognize flooded the screen, and a mechanical female voice announced, "Acquiring highest-level access."
A floor plan of the facility then appeared on the screen, displaying Aurora Sinclair’s location and the number of personnel in each section.
Two more lines of text appeared on the screen.
[Aurora, this place is divided into two zones. I have access to the outer zone, but The Shadow Organization has no clearance for the inner experimental zone.]
"Lord Serpent?" A man’s unfamiliar voice suddenly sounded from behind Aurora Sinclair.
Aurora Sinclair froze but didn’t turn around.
She glanced down at the authorization progress bar on her watch. Only 73%.
The man took two more steps forward and saw the four people on the ground. His expression changed drastically as he drew a weapon and aimed it at her.
"Who are you?"
Aurora Sinclair cleared her throat, and Lord Serpent’s chilling, effeminate voice emerged from her lips. "And who would you say I am?"
The man started, finding it hard to believe that this short figure was the Lord Serpent who commanded them.
But their lord was famously secretive, preferring to hide away in his room. He even had his meals delivered.
He glanced at the unconscious people on the floor and asked in a quavering voice, "Lord Serpent, they are..."
"My pet... is hungry..."
With a THUD, the man fell to his knees.
"Lord Serpent, please, calm your anger! The food will be sent down right away. The lab personnel are preparing the elevator..."
Aurora Sinclair glanced at the progress bar, now at 100%. She retracted her hand and slowly turned around.
The man was prostrate on the floor, shaking like a leaf, clearly terrified of Lord Serpent.
Aurora Sinclair walked over slowly and chopped him on the back of the neck.

「Meanwhile.」
Access to all doors in the prep area had been unlocked.
Alvin Morgan stood up and addressed the men in the glass rooms. "Anyone who wants out, follow me."
But the men didn’t want to leave. They just kept their heads down, silent.
Only one emaciated man, bracing himself against the wall, swayed to his feet and asked timidly, "Can I go with you?"
"Yes."
Alvin Morgan opened the door and walked out first, with the thin man close behind him.
The other men stared at the open door, various expressions in their eyes.
The hallway outside was empty. Even with the doors unlocked, no one else dared to venture out.
Alvin Morgan walked past one glass room after another. The people inside were clustered near their doors, eyeing the small hatches at the bottom like predators waiting for food to be pushed through.
Alvin Morgan found the room where Mia was being held. He pushed open the door and saw the girl huddled in a corner.
"Mia."
The girl lifted her bruised face, looking wronged and ready to cry. She quickly scrambled to her feet and headed for the door.
Seeing that he wasn’t there to deliver food, the strongest-looking girl in the room turned hostile and kicked Mia.
Mia fell hard to her knees, curling into a ball from the pain.
"Who are you?"
Alvin Morgan’s brow furrowed. His expression darkened as he slowly stepped into the room.
He was very tall, and his presence was intimidating in the confined space of the room.
The girls near the door all shrank back.
The strong girl’s eyes filled with caution, and she took two steps back.
Alvin Morgan went to Mia’s side, bent down slightly, and took her arm. "Can you stand?"
"Mmm..." Mia endured the pain in her leg and used his support to get to her feet again.
A cruel glint appeared in the strong girl’s eyes. She lunged forward again, but Alvin Morgan caught her arm and twisted it.
"Aaargh—!" the girl shrieked in pain, kicking wildly at Alvin Morgan.
The other girls shrank back in fear to the farthest corner of the room.
Alvin Morgan shoved her, sending her stumbling deeper into the room.
The strong girl, refusing to back down, charged again, this time scratching viciously at Alvin Morgan.
Her sharp nails tore through the sleeve of his clothes.
RRRIP!
The watch on Alvin Morgan’s wrist was revealed, its communication light blinking red.
The girl thought it was some kind of weapon and immediately backed away, watching him warily.
Alvin Morgan angled his watch, projecting an infrared targeting light onto her head. He then backed out of the room, helping the limping Mia.
Just then, a burly man emerged from a room across the hall and went straight into the girls’ room.
The sounds of girls screaming came from within.
Alvin Morgan’s expression changed, and he rushed over.
His watch discharged a high-voltage current, instantly knocking the man unconscious.
The girls in the room, still terrified, saw that Alvin Morgan had saved them and immediately followed him out.
Several more men, seeing an opportunity and with ill intentions, emerged from their rooms.
The high-voltage discharge had drained most of the power from Alvin Morgan’s watch. It had now gone into sleep mode, and he couldn’t use it to re-lock the prep area doors.
"I’m warning you, don’t touch them!"

When Aurora Sinclair arrived, the entire prep area was in chaos.
’A brawl?’
A dozen burly men were attacking Alvin Morgan and a few of the stronger girls.
Her eyes instantly grew cold. She clenched her fists and charged through the open doorway.
In seconds, every man in the hallway—except for Alvin Morgan—was on the ground, writhing in pain.
"Are you all right?"
Alvin Morgan wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and managed a smile. "The training paid off."
Aurora Sinclair reached out and wiped a smudge of blood from his face, still looking displeased. "Not enough training..."
While they were speaking, someone tried to attack Aurora Sinclair from behind. With lightning speed, she kicked him, sending his body flying through the air to slam hard against a door.
Alvin Morgan was speechless.
"More training when we get back."
