My Wife is a Hidden Big Shot-Chapter 257 - 250: Second Brother, What Are You Doing Here?
"Lina, who is he?"
Aurora Sinclair strode forward and yanked him into the room.
"Baby, I don’t accept..."
Before he could finish, his body went limp, and he collapsed onto the floor.
Alvin Morgan glanced back at the fallen man and pursed his lips.
Aurora Sinclair tied up the two of them, hands and feet, and locked them in the room’s bathroom.
Alvin Morgan used a computer to hack into the experimental zone’s surveillance and security systems, gaining full administrative access.
Taking the access cards from the man and woman, they rode the elevator directly to the experimental zone.
The closer they got to the core experimental zone, the tighter the security became. They frequently saw security personnel in special protective suits patrolling everywhere.
Aurora Sinclair could even sense the aura of a Grandmaster.
The pair used the access cards to pass through two doors smoothly. As they were swiping at the third, a strange man’s voice came from behind them.
"Where’s your security escort?"
The regulations here were strict. Researchers of every level had their own designated areas and could not cross between zones at will. Otherwise, they would be treated as intruders, captured, and interrogated.
This was especially true for the core experimental zone, which only A-level researchers could enter or exit, and they had to be accompanied by a security escort at all times.
Aurora Sinclair turned around to see a person in a special protective suit standing not far away.
Alvin Morgan replied, "He wasn’t feeling well. He went to the restroom."
Simon sized them up suspiciously for a moment, then said sharply, "Give me the access card."
He held a black device in his hand, which looked like it could scan the information on an access card.
Alvin Morgan handed him the access card.
Simon swiped it on the scanner and frowned. "B-level researchers aren’t allowed here."
"An A-level researcher asked us to come here," Alvin Morgan said calmly.
Simon, ever cautious, looked them over again and said sternly, "Remove your goggles and masks for identity verification."
Alvin Morgan’s expression darkened. "You can’t remove protective gear in the experimental zone."
"Then come with me to the security office and take them off there."
"We’re in a hurry." A hint of annoyance crept into Alvin Morgan’s voice.
He had specifically chosen this remote, deserted corridor, but he still ran into a security guard.
Seeing them constantly stalling, Simon’s suspicion deepened. He suddenly reached out to grab Alvin Morgan’s protective goggles. Alvin Morgan reacted quickly, catching his wrist.
The two were locked in a stalemate. Just as Aurora Sinclair was about to make a move, a pleasant voice called out from a short distance away.
"Simon, I sent these two here."
A startled look flashed in Simon’s eyes. He immediately let go, turned, and stood at attention, respectfully calling out, "Captain."
Aurora Sinclair turned her head and saw that the newcomer had an Arcadian face.
Although he wore special glasses, his hair was black and cut in a neat, short style, with a prominent widow’s peak at his hairline.
He nodded at Simon, glanced over the two of them, and said calmly, "Follow me."
A flicker of vigilance appeared in Aurora Sinclair’s eyes. This man was very strong. The fluctuations of his Power were faint, making it impossible to guess his true strength.
The man took the access card, swiped open the door in front of them, and walked in first.
Aurora Sinclair followed close behind, but after a couple of steps, she suddenly realized that Alvin Morgan was standing frozen in place behind her.
She turned back and tugged on his arm. "Let’s go."
After the door closed, Aurora Sinclair stood protectively in front of Alvin Morgan, her gaze fixed on the back of the man ahead.
The man’s footsteps paused, but he didn’t turn around. His voice was ice-cold as he asked, "You dared to break in, but now you don’t dare to follow?"
Alvin Morgan pursed his lips, took two steps forward to shield Aurora Sinclair behind him, and replied faintly, "There’s nothing to be afraid of."
Aurora Sinclair was inwardly surprised. The man was speaking Veridian.
The man turned, glanced at her, and let out a soft chuckle. "Bringing a woman along? You’ve gotten bold."
He suddenly threw a punch at Alvin Morgan. With an icy gaze, Aurora Sinclair shot out her own fist and blocked it.
The man’s expression changed drastically, and he stumbled back several steps.
"A Martial King?"
Aurora Sinclair gave him no chance to recover, stepping forward and launching a heavy blow at him.
’This man’s strength is also at the Martial King Level, but his aura is unstable, as if he only recently broke through.’
Just as Alvin Morgan saw Aurora Sinclair land a kick on the man’s chest and prepare to dislocate his arm, he suddenly cried out, "Aurora, stop—"
Aurora Sinclair froze for an instant. She quickly changed the direction of her attack, sending him staggering back with a final jolt before she stopped.
The man clutched his chest, gasping for breath, a slow smile spreading across his lips. "You’ve really made something of yourself, Alvin Morgan..."
Aurora Sinclair’s expression changed in a flash. With a gleam of silver, a dagger hidden in her sleeve appeared with lightning speed, its edge resting against the man’s neck.
The smile on the man’s face didn’t waver. He took off his glasses, revealing a pair of peach blossom eyes identical to Alvin Morgan’s.
