Our Love Story: Hard to Guard Against the Sudden Love Strike-Chapter 404 - 383: Sienna Thornton Drunk
After sending off Director-General Linton and the other colleagues, Simon Forrester embraced Sienna Thornton and entered the elevator.
As soon as the elevator doors closed, Sienna suddenly turned around, hugging Simon tightly like an octopus. She tilted her face up, squinting at him, "Where are we going?"
Simon was carrying her bag with one hand and holding her waist tightly with the other: "To the parking lot to get the car."
Sienna made an "oh" sound and said nothing more, lowering her little head.
Simon glanced down at her, chuckling, "Is the alcohol hitting you?"
"Nope! I’m very sober!"
Seeing Simon’s skeptical look, Sienna suddenly lifted her face and gave him a big kiss on the cheek.
With a loud "mwah" sound that echoed in the elevator. There were other people in the elevator, who all turned their heads to look.
Sienna laughed softly, not caring about others’ gazes, still holding his waist, she looked up at him pleasingly, "See? I’m very sober!"
Simon, both amused and exasperated, tightened his embrace around her waist, whispering, "Let’s talk more at home."
.
Sienna sat up straight in the passenger seat as soon as they got in the car, not even bothering to buckle up, mumbling all the while, "I’m so sleepy."
Simon buckled her seatbelt for her and then reclined the seat so she could lie down more comfortably.
The car exited the shopping mall garage and merged into the main road of Regent Street.
It was nearly midnight, and the streets were deserted, so the car smoothly exited the first ring and took the overpass towards the New District.
Simon had originally intended to scold her for drinking outside, but seeing her resting with her eyes closed, he refrained and focused instead on driving.
After a while, Sienna suddenly mumbled, "Where did you come from tonight?"
"Hmm?" Simon glanced at her, "What did you say?"
"I said, you didn’t change your suit, so where did you come from to pick me up tonight?"
"I left ’The Forresters’ and went to the office to discuss something with Aiden and Logan."
Sienna made an "oh" sound: "I thought you knew I was dining over there, and you were waiting nearby for me."
Simon laughed: "That’s exactly why, since you already knew, why did you even ask?" 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎
"I just wanted to hear it from you..." She rambled on a bit, and then fell asleep again.
Simon didn’t disturb her. When they arrived home, and he had parked the car, she was sleeping soundly.
Sitting in the driver’s seat, Simon turned to look at her, watching her sleep like a baby so adorably, his heart full of tenderness, he bent down and kissed her lightly.
She was asleep, and the sharpness and defenses she had during the day were gone, making her seem as endearing as a baby.
Simon just sat there, looking at her, not having the heart to wake her. He gently moved her bangs from her cheek to the back, covering her flushed cheek with his warm palm.
Noticing someone was touching her, she furrowed her brows, instinctively trying to move her face aside.
Simon suddenly didn’t have the heart to wake her, and instead slung her bag over his shoulder, gently lifting her from the passenger seat.
Carrying her in a princess hold, Sienna naturally wrapped her arms around his neck.
He looked down to her, noting her furrowed brows as if she were in pain. Just as he was about to ask if she felt like vomiting, the elevator doors closed, and the hand around his neck suddenly tightened.
With her eyes closed, she lifted her face and kissed him.
Deep in the night, there was no one in the elevator, leaving only them in its wide, bright space.
Feeling his heart stir, Simon held her even tighter in his arms, his gaze tinged with amusement: "Bribery won’t work."
At these words, she couldn’t help but laugh, opening her eyes to look at him: "Why would I bribe you?"
She actually knew what he meant.
Before they were together, during a trip to Norport, she had a cocktail at a bar on the old street, and he had blown up at her halfway back.
He questioned whether, as a lawyer, she didn’t know the dangers of drinking outside?
Ultimately, he just couldn’t stand the thought of her drinking outside.
That’s why she forced herself to stay alert tonight, but as soon as she got in the car, she couldn’t help but feel sleepy, trying to stay awake, occasionally waking up to say a few words.
Thinking she should just say a few words to prove she wasn’t drunk, yet she couldn’t control her hands from wrapping around his neck, what was that about?
Hmm, it seemed maybe she was a bit tipsy... She thought, as she struggled to stand, "Let me down... I can walk..."
Simon ignored her, tightening his grip once more.
And so, even as they entered the house, she was still squirming.
Simon held her while changing into slippers himself, taking off her high heels, and then carried her straight into the guest room.
In her haze, she realized the room didn’t look right and asked, "Where are you taking me?"
Simon didn’t answer, placing her on the bed and starting to help her remove her coat.
Seeing it was the guest room, she suddenly sat up, blushing with discontent: "Just because I drank... you want me to sleep in the guest room tonight?!"
She looked ready to argue.
"Otherwise, you’re filthy and smelly, and want to roll onto the bed in the master bedroom?" Simon gave her an exasperated look, tucking her into the blanket, "You lie here for now, I’ll run a bath for you."
With that, he left the room.
Sienna, dazed, fell asleep again. She didn’t know how long she slept until she felt her body becoming lighter, as if she were floating.
Then, she heard the sound of water, gurgling, rolling in her stomach, rising, about to reach her throat, it was so uncomfortable...
"Ugh... ugh..."
The contents rolling in her stomach finally surged up, pouring out completely.
Sienna leaned over the edge of the bathtub, vomiting profusely, emptying her stomach.
A man’s warm, empty palm patted her back lightly, soothing her breathlessness.
She continued retching, her entire stomach churning into a knot, until a while later, she vomited some yellowish stuff.
As she was vomiting, she suddenly started crying for no reason, just feeling a bit sad as if she had messed up.
The empty palm on her back kept on soothing, and a warm towel would clean her mouth and face, and after that, a straw was placed at her lips. Half-asleep, she opened her mouth, sipping some lemon soda, finally feeling much better before sinking back into a murky haze in the water...
.
Sienna awoke again to the familiar sound of her alarm clock.
Feeling as if a spring had been wound up inside her, she pulled herself up from the bed as soon as the alarm went off.
"Oh no!"
Suddenly, she remembered the mess she made while bathing last night and hurriedly got out of bed, dashing to the bathroom.
The bathtub was thoroughly clean, nothing like the wreck she recalled from last night’s bath, but she distinctly remembered vomiting while bathing last night, didn’t she?
With Simon not in bed, she headed for the dining room.
The kitchen door was slid shut, Simon was wearing a white short-sleeved T-shirt and gray sweatpants, with a red Peppa Pig apron tied over them.
