Possessed No More: The True Star Returns to Claim Her Throne-Chapter 100: The First Flag
For the past six months, our company has been collecting evidence of defamation against Riley Perry. Anyone who fails to delete their inappropriate comments and issue a public apology on Riley Perry’s Weibo within three days will be sued directly by our firm. Please take note.
The anti-fans finally quieted down. Even if they were fuming, they had to keep it to themselves. They weren’t afraid to run their mouths online where no one knew them, but getting sued by Stardust would have real-life consequences.
They scrambled to delete all their comments and apologize to Riley Perry. Some even deleted their accounts entirely, resolving never to sling mud online again.
Soon, two hashtags were trending: #AntiFansApologizeToRileyPerry and #StardustStaunchlyDefendsItsArtist.
And with that, the vicious rumors about Riley Perry being promiscuous, having a sugar daddy, and being a homewrecker were thoroughly debunked. Her fans held their heads high, feeling as if they could now wipe the floor with any anti-fans in future battles.

「Sinclair Headquarters.」
"President, the matter has been resolved. However, the PR department is reporting that we weren’t the only ones pulling strings behind the scenes. Stellaris Studio deployed nearly their entire army of online promoters, and someone from S-City also stepped in...
I’m guessing it was one of Miss Perry’s friends."
Cole Sinclair frowned. He knew that Justin Locke and Riley Perry were in contact privately.
That male assistant of hers was from Stellaris Studio.
But he had a hand in the last few times Riley Perry trended. What on earth was Justin Locke’s game?
"Should I look into it, President?"
Cole Sinclair tossed the pen in his hand, leaned back in his executive chair, and folded his hands over his stomach, feigning rest with his eyes closed. A moment later, he suddenly spoke, "No need. You’re dismissed." ’I’ll ask her myself.’

Meanwhile, Riley Perry had already added the instant noodles to the pot with the boiled chicken breast. The roasted chicken was also giving off a rich aroma. By now, she had recited the entire "Xue Er" Chapter of The Analects.
"It’ll be ready to take off the fire in two or three minutes. Any longer and it’ll get mushy and ruin the texture."
"Ria, there’s a question I’m dying to know the answer to."
"Go on."
"It’s... how many Chapters of The Analects did you memorize in total?"
Riley Perry sat on a flat rock, giving the chicken one last turn. She winked at Virgil Koenig. "Well, do you know how many Chapters The Analects has in total?"
"I have no idea." He barely remembered anything besides the opening line, let alone having read the whole thing. He just couldn’t get into it.
"It has twenty books, with a total of 492 Chapters." Then she changed the subject.
The instant noodles in the pot were ready. Riley Perry removed it from the fire, took out her own mess tin and chopsticks from her backpack, and served half of the noodles into her tin. "The rest is for you. Is that enough?"
There were two packs of noodles in the pot, one for each of them. And if that wasn’t enough, there was still the roasted chicken.
"Enough, enough! This is more than enough."
Virgil Koenig quickly took out his own bowl and chopsticks and started dishing out the noodles.
Riley Perry used her dagger to carve the roasted chicken, and the two of them shared it.
After taking a bite of the chicken, Virgil Koenig couldn’t help but exclaim in admiration, "So fragrant! Crispy and aromatic!"
"I’ve calculated that we need to cover at least twenty kilometers this afternoon to reach the first flag. We need to eat up to keep our energy levels high."
Virgil Koenig polished off a chicken wing in just a few bites, then said with a sly grin, "Hehe, Ria, you have no idea. My agent is the worst. He’s always watching me, not letting me eat this or that. He has me eating grass every day. I’d almost forgotten what meat tastes like."
"But today, I can eat openly and without fear."
Virgil Koenig knew his agent must be watching the livestream, so he tore off another chicken leg and deliberately waved it in front of the camera following him. "Mr. Shephard~~ Look, a big drumstick! I’m gonna eat it, okay? I’m really gonna eat it! Hey, since you’re not objecting, I won’t hold back!"
With that, he let out a dramatic CHOMP and took a huge bite of the golden-brown roasted chicken.
On the other side of the screen, the super-agent Jackson Shepherd was cringing so hard he wanted the floor to swallow him whole. Was this brat, Virgil, determined to make him lose face in front of the entire country?
"That little punk. Just wait until he gets back. See how I deal with him then!"
After splitting half a chicken and eating a bowl of noodles each, they were both a little stuffed. They rested for a short while before Riley Perry packed up the pot and mess tins. The items would have to be washed once they found a water source, so for now, they could only be put in a bag and carried.
"Ria, let me carry this stuff."
Riley Perry smiled and didn’t argue. If she did everything, Virgil Koenig wouldn’t get a chance to shine, and that might upset his fans. "All right, thank you. I didn’t realize you were so thoughtful, Virgil. Your future wife will be a lucky woman."
Virgil Koenig immediately turned bright red. He quickly grabbed the bag and hurried ahead.
Riley Perry was happy to see it. Based on the map’s scale, she calculated they had to cover at least twenty kilometers of mountain trail that afternoon. Time was short and the task was demanding; she just hoped the kid wouldn’t slow her down.
"Ria, how are we going to complete our mission?"
Riley Perry pointed ahead and to the right as they walked. "The water source is up ahead to the right. At our pace, if we hurry, we can reach it in three hours. According to the map, the first flag is also near the water source.
As for those three herbs..."
Riley Perry suddenly stopped and pointed to a plant by the roadside. "Clove. It grows in hillside forests, by mountain streams, along valley roads, and near riverbanks. It’s a deciduous shrub or small tree, and its calyx is small and bell-shaped.
Its properties are acrid and warm. Clove’s warmth and fragrance make it great for warming the body’s core, dispelling cold, and stopping nausea. It’s a primary herb for treating vomiting and hiccups caused by a ’cold’ stomach. It’s also used for poor appetite or diarrhea from a weak digestive system, and it can even help with morning sickness.
It enters the Spleen and Stomach meridians, where it warms the core, dispels cold, and relieves pain, so it can be used for cold pain in the stomach. It also enters the Kidney meridian and has the effect of warming the kidneys and strengthening yang, which can treat impotence from kidney deficiency and uterine cold."
"This is Clove? You know about this stuff too?"
Riley Perry said, "Just something I happened to pick up."
She took a small trowel from her backpack, dug up a smaller specimen of the plant, placed it in a plastic bag, and continued on their way.
[Remember all those books on Riley Perry’s bookshelf at home? I bet she’s read them all. Don’t @ me, or if you do, you’re right (doge-face for protection).]
Over the next part of their journey, the two performed as expected and found a total of nine exchange cards. The items on these cards were eclectic, with everything from A to Z—even a roll of toilet paper made an appearance. The production team really thought of everything.
A little over two hours later, they finally reached the first objective point.
Wiping the sweat from his face, Virgil Koenig said excitedly, "We actually found the water source!" With that, he plopped down on a rock by the river, completely exhausted.
He really hadn’t expected Riley Perry to have such good stamina. She hadn’t stopped to rest even once the entire way. Aren’t girls supposed to be delicate and fragile?
Why was she so different?
"Ria, don’t tell me you’ve been here before? Otherwise, how were you so sure there’d be water this way?"
