Coming to a stop, George parked the car in front of the building as he immediately came out and opened the back seat for Vanessa.

With George’s help, Vanessa stepped out of the black car as her white heels graced the entrance of the huge mansion.

As soon as the huge door opened, all eyes turned to see who has just stepped in and to their surprise it was Vanessa.

She looked absolutely different from what they had imagined. The Quinn family has heard a lot of gossip about Rowen’s spoilt actress wife but the woman standing in front of them looked like an absolute goddess.

While the room was filled with murmurs and whispers, Vanessa just walked straight to the still-shocked Rowen.

He was standing at the desert table, his hair neatly combed as he was dressed in a black suit.

He was surprised to see Vanessa with the dress. He remembered giving it to her but she never wore it after two years. It’s crazy how it still fitted her.

Smiling, Vanessa coughed slightly to get his attention, "Sooo? How do I look?"

Trying to hide his amused expression, Rowen just nodded, "You look alright."

And that alone was enough to put a satisfied smile of Vanessa’s face.

Just then, an annoyed voice was heard, "Vanessa? Is that really you?"

Turning around, Vanessa didn’t seem surprised to see Eunice.

She was dressed in a black evening gown with silver jewelry. She couldn’t help but smirk slightly.

Eunice had advise her to dress vulgar yet she dressed so simple and elegant. What a two-faced serpent.

Obviously surprised, Eunice approached Vanessa as Erin who was standing beside her followed along as he tried his best not to meet Rowen’s gaze.

Pulling Vanessa to a side, Eunice whispered, "Why are you dressed like this?"

"What’s wrong with my dressing?" Vanessa acted confused.

"H-huh well nothing is wrong with it.. i-i-it’s just that I thought we both agreed that you would dress inappropriate so that Rowen’s face can be ruined in front of his family.."

"Oh? Well.. I thought about it but then realized that as a well respected actress myself.. I cannot be seen dressed in such a way and anyway, I have better ways to take revenge on Rowen but I just can’t afford to sacrifice my reputation."

Smiling, Vanessa patted Eunice’s shoulder, "I’m sure you understand cousin! In that case, I’ll return back to Rowen’s side.. see ya!"

She said as she turned around and left leaving Eunice angry and frustrated.

Once again, Vanessa was using her brain and this made her so annoyed. She didn’t know where the stupid Vanessa went to.

Tap! Tap! Tap!

An elderly woman tapped on a glass of champagne to get everyone’s attention.

"Welcome everyone. I’m so happy to see the faces of my loving family. It has been a while since we all gathered here. Thank you all once again for making time for my husband’s birthday, it’s truly an honor."

Mrs. Alen Quinn said as she smiled. "I officially would like to announce the commencement of the banquet."

And with that, the music started to play. Seated at the center of attention was the birthday man, Richard Quinn.

He was a young man in his late fortys but due to sickness, he looked older than his age.

As Vanessa stood behind Rowen, she couldn’t help but eavesdrop to his conversation. If she remembered correctly, Rowen wanted to discuss a business idea with Richard but because of her attitude and actions, he didn’t even get to speak to the old man. The man even hated him and banned him from any family event.

But it would be different this time, because she would help her husband and make sure he succeeds in everything he puts his hands to.

Finally, the time for presenting gifts came and different young men and women of the Quinn family went to present their gifts.

Just then a young feminine voice echoed in the hall.

"I also have a gift to present!"

Stepping forward, Eunice bowed slightly to the old man as people present just looked at her confused.

"Is she also going to give the fifth Uncle? Which family is she from, I don’t know her from anywhere?"

"I heard she’s the cousin to Rowen’s wife, why is she here?"

"Is she a member of this household, how dare she present a gift to the fifth Uncle.. Sly fox!"

Murmurs filled the air as every gave their comments on Eunice’s sudden action but she found it amusing after all, the purpose of everything was to make the entire Quinn family remember her.

Because to her, she would one day become the wife to the head of the Quinn family.

"And which family are you from dear?" Alen Quinn asked.

"I am from the Mo family." She replied politely.

"Usually because it is a family banquet we usually only accept gifts from family members but since you are related to one of the Quinn family’s daughter in-law then we would accept your gift."

Smiling, Eunice immediately sent for some maids as they came in a blue guqin.

"Fifth Uncle, fifth Aunt.. I heard of the that one of the things the fifth Uncle enjoyed is the pleasant music from the guqin.. so I have decided to play for the Fifth uncle."

She said as she smiled proudly.

"Very good!" Richard Quinn commented as he relax on his chair.

Setting up the guqin, Eunice finally started playing as the entire hall went silent.

Vanessa has to admit, Eunice was truly good at playing the guqin, ever since highschool.

"Wow the young lady of the Mo family is really good.. she plays so well for a young girl!"

"I even heard she won an award back in highschool, they said she had even played ’Guangling san’ which is a very difficult piece to play."

"She’s so much better than her cousin, why didn’t she marry into the Quinn family instead of that Spoiled actress."

The others nodded in agreement.

After some time, Eunice finally finished the song and everyone slapped and cheered even Vanessa joined along.

"Good! Very good, young child.. what did you say your name is again?" Richard Quinn questioned.

"It’s Eunice Mo, uncle!"

"Well then Eunice Mo, I have pleased with your music.. how wonderful."

He said as everyone agreed. But just then, the voice of someone was heard.

"If you are pleased by her performance uncle, then you would be blown away by mine!"
