Rebirth, Seduce My Ex-husband-Chapter 70: Chili Soup 1
"Why the hell are you doing all this, Stacy? What exactly do you want from me?"
"Don’t ask as though you don’t know, Vanessa. Your title as Mrs. Quinn, Rowen, and this house, everything here belongs to me. You took everything from me, and you still dare ask me that question."
Stacy said as she pointed at Vanessa.
Her words were more than enough to convince Vanessa that Stacy was indeed back in the past just like her.
"You came back too, didn’t you?" She dropped the bond as a smirk immediately appeared on Stacy’s lips.
"You finally figured it out! Took you long enough." She folded her hands, smiling in victory.
"But how come? How did you die? Weren’t you alive?"
Her words immediately turned Stacy into an annoyed maniac.
"Yes, I was alive. I was happy and living my dreams... Rowen was mine. Everything you own now was mine. But because of that stupid daughter of yours, I lost absolutely everything."
Stacy revealed, her words taking Vanessa by surprise.
It turned out that while Vanessa was in prison, Tara was about to celebrate her birthday, but the little child refused to celebrate or even step out of her room until they brought back her mommy, Vanessa.
She threw so many tantrums that Rowen had no other choice but to release Vanessa from jail.
Stacy was on her way to pick up Vanessa when she arrived at the station to find out Vanessa had already gone.
She tried to find her, but to her surprise, Vanessa was hit by a big truck, dying on the spot.
Just as Stacy had rushed to her, she was suddenly hit by a car and died close to Vanessa, the both of them ending up going back to the past, starting life over again.
---
"If not for that stupid daughter of yours, none of this would have happened. She never liked me, even after everything I did for her. ’My mommy, my mommy’ that was all I fucking heard every day. I felt like strangling her."
Stacy shouted, her eyes red with anger and rage.
"I thought that maybe, since I was back, I could just do things all over again. Save Rowen like before and win his heart. But little did I know that you, bitch, also went back to the past."
"You tried to save Rowen when I was the one who was supposed to save him. You ruined my entire plan and made Rowen’s love for me never exist in the first place. And now? He hates me and sees me as a homewrecker all because of you, Vanessa!"
She shouted once more as slight tears fell from Vanessa’s eyes. She never knew that Stacy was back just like her. She never meant for any of this, but Stacy was taking things too far.
Wiping away her tears, Vanessa confronted Stacy.
"I’m sorry that you died because of me, but that is not a reason for you to try and ruin a married couple. Yes! I was a horrible wife to Rowen and an even more horrible mother, but still, I was Rowen’s legal wife. Nothing you can ever do about it."
Vanessa snapped back,
"You suddenly coming into our life with Rowen’s child won’t change anything. Rowen doesn’t love you, Stacy. At least... he doesn’t remember ever loving you."
Vanessa’s words were like a slap. Stacy’s face twisted.
"He doesn’t remember because you erased everything!" she screamed, her voice cracking.
"You were in the way, always in the damn way! Even in this life!"
"I didn’t ask to come back," Vanessa said, voice steady.
"But now that I’m here, I’ll protect what’s mine."
"Protect?" Stacy scoffed.
"You mean the man you cheated on? The daughter you abandoned?"
Vanessa’s lips twitched, but she didn’t respond.
"Oh right," Stacy laughed bitterly,
"Suddenly you’re Mother of the Year and the perfect wife. Give me a break."
There was silence.
Then Vanessa stepped forward, calm but cold.
"You hate me, I get it. But dragging Rowen into this... dragging that poor child into it-"
"She’s his child," Stacy snapped.
"Unlike you, I didn’t need a second chance to treat him right."
Vanessa’s gaze hardened.
"If you really loved him, you wouldn’t use a child to get him back."
Stacy flinched, then glared.
"Keep talking, Vanessa. Let’s see how long your perfect little family lasts."
She turned, her heels echoing as she walked away.
Vanessa stood frozen. She knew Stacy wasn’t done and was going to give her all to ruin her family. But she wasn’t going to stand still and watch. She was going to protect what’s hers and let absolutely no woman take it away.
---
The next morning was just a regular Saturday. They had breakfast, and Rowen left for work.
Relaxing on her couch, Vanessa was busy memorizing some of her script when she suddenly saw Stacy walking into Tara’s room with a tray.
Seeing that, she immediately stood up and walked toward her, stopping her before she entered Tara’s room.
"Where the hell do you think you are going? And what is that?" Vanessa asked as she folded her hands, but Stacy seemed unshaken, as though she was even expecting Vanessa’s arrival.
"It’s none of your business. Now move, you’re blocking my way," Stacy remarked, trying to push Vanessa, but Vanessa didn’t give her the chance. She took hold of her and pushed her away instead, causing the tray to fall from Stacy’s hands, smashing on the ground.
"What the hell? See what you’ve done, you bitch!" Stacy cursed as the loud noise immediately brought the attention of the maids, who quickly came to clean up the mess.
"Only God knows what the hell you wanted to give my daughter. Tara is my child, she will only eat food made by me and no one else. Keep your fake care to yourself."
Vanessa sneered as Stacy snapped back,
"All I wanted to do was give Tara a cup of hot cocoa. The rain is getting heavier day by day for a child her age, she could catch a cold easily... something a so-called mother like you can’t figure out."
"Whatever my daughter needs will be taken care of by me. I don’t need your help. Now get out." Vanessa shouted as Stacy just rolled her eyes and turned around.
But a hidden smirk was visible on her face. Who knows what she’s planning?
