Chapter 1380: Heading Out at Last!

"That’s what I’ll do if I’m the one leading the enemy forces," William nodded in agreement, "they can’t withdraw from any spot, they can’t move a large number of masters in one go, then they only have this option left!"

"Interesting," Anjie softly muttered, "don’t tell me you finally met your match!"

"It seems like it," Lara found it amusing and couldn’t prevent herself from laughing, "let’s just first see if the enemy pulled this move in the first place."

"If so, then... We’ll target this force, right?" Becky’s mind was solely focused on the time when they would join the war. And William simply nodded.

"What are we waiting for? Send messengers, let’s see where those bastards are, and we’ll kill them!" Becky looked in clear excitement at Lara and Anjie, while the other two got used to how she acted.

"I’ll handle this," Anjie moved away, "I’ll also bring back my faction masters to the city. We need to be ready to move out!"

"Why is she bringing her faction here?" Anjie walked away towards the portal zone, while Lara couldn’t figure out what she intended to do.

"Once we spot the enemy secret gathering, we’ll hit them," Becky was the one to explain, while William kept watching the map, "once we kill that last straw, many places will crumble."

"Aha, so we’ll need to have lots of masters to go to different places and hit the weakened enemies," Lara nodded in realisation, "if it’s so, then let me bring my faction over."

"Aren’t they busy fighting in different places?" William was the one to stop her, and yet she smiled and kept walking away.

"I sent just a small part; the rest is stationed in key locations around the city."

"She is something," Becky couldn’t believe Lara had read all this beforehand, and had prepared most of her faction masters to be stationed around the city.

"Not to be blamed, after all, this city is hers, and there is that special space underground plus the portal."

"Don’t tell me you are the one who asked her to do it!" Becky grew more surprised when she heard that, "that makes more sense... If she is that good, she wouldn’t be the second in line girl."

"Second in what?" William didn’t get what Becky wanted to say, and the latter just smiled and said nothing about that.

"So, where do you think the enemies are gathering their forces? Here perhaps?" She hurriedly changed the attention back to the map, pointed at a spot, before pointing at another, "or here?"

"Why these two?" William knew she was just trying to evade answering his question, and yet he was indeed considering the two spots she pointed at.

"I don’t know, perhaps thanks to the terrain around them, as it’s filled with deep valleys, so they can hide any army there without a problem."

"That’s possible," William slowly nodded, "plus they are close to most paths linking the enemy forces, and on the main road to these three hot zones."

"That’s a point I missed," Becky’s eyes shone brightly when she thought about what William said, "they are the most suitable spots, yet we need to pick one... It’s better to wait for more intel..."

"We need to pick one, or pick the two..." William slowly muttered as he was lost in thought. The idea flashed in his mind, and soon enough, he started to seriously consider it!

"It’s hard for them to divide their thin forces into two halves," Becky thought seriously about this option, yet soon enough she pushed the possibility aside, "they’ll pick one spot, yet we need to have a lead before moving out!"

"They’ll divide their forces among these two spots," William didn’t agree with her, "they are in a tough spot, losing this chance meant losing everything! So they’ll divide their secret force to make sure at least one will pass unnoticed."

"But..."

"Believe him," Lara returned fast from summoning her scattered faction masters, "he is thinking about it as if he was the one leading the enemy. The one leading them is similar to our beloved Fox Guild master, so the two know each other the best!"

"Ok," Becky couldn’t believe how Lara jumped to this conclusion based on just this vague similarity. And yet when she thought about how she felt towards this idea, and how the situation would change if she was wrong, she knew she was this close to falling into an enemy trap! "If so, then who is going to attack these two? There is only you and me..."

"We’ll hit the two spots," William interrupted Becky, before motioning towards Lara, "we’ll destroy their defences, kill their strongest masters, then we’ll leave towards the next spot, leaving the task to handle the remaining masters to Lara and Anjie."

"I like that," Lara softly chuckled, "how about I pick the spot I’ll send my masters to handle?"

"No privilege this time," William could sniff trouble coming from what Lara wanted to do, "you’ll handle the first spot, and Anjie will handle the second one."

"Speaking as if you are going to move right away," Lara looked in a weird way towards William, and Becky couldn’t help but jump out of her seat, looking in anticipation towards him.

"There isn’t a suitable place to hide a large army except for these two spots," William stretched his arms and legs, warming up for a long fight. "In worst case scenario, the reports from Anjie’s side will take at least a day to spot the enemy locations. I’ll just go and play a little, then come back if nothing is there."

"Ok..." Lara couldn’t believe he decided to act just based on an impulse.

"Let’s go to war, let’s go to war, let’s go to kill..." As William moved towards the portal area, Becky kept singing and jumping from behind, surrounded by the scary looking fifty monsters.

She at last was going to watch these monsters in play!
