The Top Omega Hunter Wants a Quiet Life [BL]-Chapter 112: Ch : Lynn’s invitation- Part 1
"I am here to take Kyle with me. We have something important to do."
Once again, Lynn had decided to come and grab me while everyone was working. The cafe was full at the moment and we did not have hands to spare.
People were also staring at Lynn, wondering what an alpha like him was doing in a cafe when he could be busy spending his time in a large-scale restaurant.
The only one oblivious to his charms was Theo, who had a frown on his face and his impassive face told me that he was less than impressed with the alpha in front of him.
"I’m sorry, but Kyle is not an item we sell. Now, can I get you anything else or would you like to leave?"
Theo asked the no. #2 Alpha without missing a single beat. His professional voice made Lynn smile in amusement.
"Ah, you are funny, kid. But this is not a matter you and I can resolve. As for needing help, I can send someone here to help you out. What do you say? That’s a good offer, right?"
Theo did not look impressed by Lynn’s offer and if it were up to him, he would have soundly rejected what the other alpha was telling him.
But the owner of the cafe was Emma and she quickly walked over as soon as she heard the bickering.
As a result, she heard what Lynn had asked and with a worried face, she made her way between the two alphas.
"Hunter Lynn, it’s a pleasure to meet you. Do you need Kyle? We can spare him if you provide us with some help instead. As you can see, we are super busy at the moment."
Emma told the no. #2 hunter with a smile on her face.
Unlike Theo, she had a good impression of the hunter as she had seen him a lot. He had almost been a constant in her life and cafe ever since the Luminous Guild was created.
She trusted Lynn a lot more than she let on... but still, there was a small part of her mind that still doubted whether trusting Lynn was the right choice or not.
Kyle was family while Lynn was someone she trusted. It would break her if anything happened to Kyle.
"Ah Emma, I am so glad to see you. And I am glad to see that you understand that this is an emergency. I will make sure to send a good amount of help for you."
The alpha promised and Emma had no choice but to back down.
"Alright, I will go and get Kyle for you."
She told Lynn, even as Theo complained in the background. But Theo’s complaints went unheard and Emma called out Kyle before his shift ended.
________
"Hey, get me a glass of juice, please."
Another customer asked me for something and I quickly went to grab them what they had asked me.
While I was doing this, I saw a couple of people getting up from their seats and trying to make a run for it.
I quickly delivered the requested juice before I stood in front of the fleeing group, cutting their escape.
The group looked shocked to see me standing in front of them and they all exchanged a glance with each other.
"Where do you think you are heading to? You still have to pay for your food. I would suggest not to make it a legal issue."
I told the small round consisting of 3 alphas and 2 omegas. The group looked annoyed but then they took in my form and I had to admit that I did not look like much at first glance.
The alpha leader of the small group decided that he could take me in a fight and he stepped forward while cracking his fist to try and intimidate me.
"Listen kid, I did not want things to come to this so I will give you one last chance. Back down and allow us to pass. Otherwise, you might be in for a world of pain."
The man told me as he loomed over me. His tall stature gave him an advantage... or so he likely thought.
But in my eyes, he just looked like a pathetic kid fighting to gain a little advantage.
"Are you going to try and hit me? I will warn you that you are being foolish if you do that. You will just make your criminal charges even larger."
I told the alpha but he just chuckled.
"Heh-! Who would believe you about what happened once I hit you hard enough to make you forget all about it. Now, sit still and allow me to hit you—"
The alpha rushed toward me and I stepped out of the way before I twisted my body around and grabbed the alpha hard enough to make him yell out a curse.
"Are you sure you want to continue? I think your pride has been wounded enough. You don’t want to make a bigger fool out of yourself, right?"
I asked the alpha who was trying to break free and yelling in pain. But the dramatic behaviour was not going to make me let go.
"W-What... how did that omega... no, more important, what should we do—?"
The others who were watching cheered me on as I took on the alpha and the rest of the group looked horrified.
"I don’t have any money. If we get caught, it would be over for us. We should... all attack at once and try to make a run for it."
One of the omegas theorized before they ran at me. They never got to even come close because a strong alpha scent made them all collapse.
They looked wide-eyed as Lynn, the no. #2 hunter, walked over to us and he raised one eye once he saw what was happening.
"Oh-! Were you playing with the kids, Kyle? You should have told me about that. I wouldn’t have interfered with this."
Lynn spoke with a smile on his face, but he was indirectly telling the others that he knew me and respected my opinion.
His words caused the dine-and-dashers to pale and they tried to get up and speak that they were innocent.
Before they could plead their case, another shadow fell over them and Theo’s face looked down at them.
"Were you trying to dine-and-dash? Unfortunately, you will have to pay extra because you tried to commit a crime. Or, I could always let the police take you away. Which one would you prefer as an option?"
Theo asked and the small group fainted. The pressure was too much for them at the moment.
I could just shake my head as I watched this happen.
’These people have it so easy. If things don’t go your way, just faint until things get better. But I don’t have the same option. What a pity.’
Kyle never had the time to be weak like this. He was often the first and last line of defense his party had. So him collapsing would mean that everyone was in danger as well.
Not that he wanted to think about those times and all his losses. He was past that point.
