Alix smiled cunningly.

"How are the negotiations with the owner of Fuwen academy? Things have been quiet on that front for a while now."

She had always known that madam Qian would not push the matter earnestly until that two week deadline passed.

"I will conclude the final negotiations before lunch today." She answered.

"Excellent, then I will see you at the music school tomorrow."

Immediately after hanging up, madam Qian went to Ko real estate development, the company owned by her husband's family.

Normally, she was calm when she paid a visit, often greeting the employees with a polite smile or acknowledging them in different ways.

This time round, it was different. She walked by all of them as if she could not see them. Her steps were determined and hurried. And when she got to her husband's office, she opened the door without knocking.

"Honey." she said in a loud voice.

Inside, Ko Xiang was holding a meeting with four people and his secretary.

She stopped talking when she saw the others but she made no move to leave.

"We will continue this meeting later." Ko Xiang told the others.

He had noticed that his wife's eyes were red and puffy. Even from where he was, he could tell that she had been crying. He needed to comfort her and right whatever wrong had been done to her immediately.

"Honey," she hurried to him and she threw herself into his arms.

"What happened?" he embraced her back, holding her tightly.

"It worked, it really worked this time." she said in a weepy voice impacted by broken sobs.

After all the crying she had done in the hospital and in her car, madam Qian could not believe that she was still crying.

"What worked?" a confused Mr. Ko asked his wife.

Madam Qian squirmed and separated herself from his embrace. She looked into his eyes and her lips trembled.

"Honey," Mr. Ko called her in a soft worried voice.

"We are pregnant." she blurted out.

"Yes we are." Mr. Ko repeated dully.

"No, honey, we are pregnant." she repeated with a broad smile on her face.

Mr. Ko whose mind had yet to process the news was just glad that his wife was smiling. As long as she was not down, everything was okay.

She shook his arms and groaned, "Honey, Ko Xiang, listen to me."

She put one of his hands on her stomach and said loudly, "I am pregnant. We are going to have a child, no children, you are going to be a father."

She waited for a smile to bloom on his face after all, this was an impossible pregnancy. The shock, he noticed was evident on his face. And then, the most unexpected thing happened.

Her husband's eyes widened, his body became stiff and he fainted.

Unaware that her miracle had caused someone to faint, Alix was in a good mood. Now that she had great news, she could give her attention to the game and the mission which she had been given two days before but failing at miserably.

Players were forming guilds and small cocoons in preparation for the show down with the dark wizard of the second world. She had formed a guild as well, as the system demanded but she had no members yet.

If she could get two people to join her guild, her mission would be completed.

She walked to the room which she was renting at a local Inn as guild headquarters. An NPC that worked as a doorman waved at her.

"Hello old Mr. Don" She called loudly and waved back.

Casually, she walked into the Inn and stopped by the welcoming desk. Two women and one man usually sat there to welcome the guests.

The women dressed in white dresses and the man in a white robe.

"Hello, did anyone come looking for me today?"

The answer she expected but hoped not to hear was probably no.

"One message was left for the guest." One of the women answered.

She handed Alix a handwritten note.

[Meet me at the square in Lumpour Town.

DD]

"Hmmmm." She looked at the scribbles on the paper and wondered why Dark Death had opted to contact her using old school means rather than text her.

"She has not responded to your text as yet either."

"Right." She answered.

She was relying on the system to figure out the details of the map so Dark Death's delayed response on the matter had not been of concern to her.

She folded the note and put it in the pocket of her pants.

"Let's just go and see what she wants. Maybe something good could come of this. Can you locate her?"

"Of course I can locate her, I can track all of the players but they cannot track you. Aren't I amazing?"

The blue elf moved from one end of the virtual screen to another looking mighty proud of itself.

It seemed to her like the Blue elf was angling for praise.

"Good job." She said.

Baize was walking next to Alix slowly. She patted his head and climbed onto his back.

"Let's go Baize, fly to the west."

Baize took to the skies, spread his wings wide and flying swiftly like the mighty bird he had grown to be.

If there was one thing Alix loved in this virtual gaming world, it was the feeling of freedom she experienced when she flew.

It was like a rush of endorphins and lightness from being relieved of a burden all at once.

"I wish humans could fly." She said to herself.

"There are humans on other worlds that can fly." The system told her. "Evolution on your world is still low on the scale of development in every form."

"How long do you think it will take us to get there? Will a thousand years be enough?"

Even though she would not be alive to see that kind of evolution, having the knowledge of when it would likely happen would be fun.

Maybe she would say something mysterious about it when she became famous for her music. People quoted famous philosophers, actors, world leaders and others of that type.

She could also be remembered for saying something note worthy.

"In my judgement, precisely two million and three hundred years. I could also break down my reasoning behind this conclusion. In order to evolve, a lot will be broken first. Should I advise you on what will be easiest to transform in your current time? The simplest of little technologies will take your world far."
