While she was having a conversation on the so called simplest technologies with her system, Caishen was waiting to have a conversation with Biming at the house.

As he waited, the doctor administered an injection to his thigh that made him wince.

Biming noticed the sweat on Caishen's forehead and he wiped it away for him. It was there because of the light exercise session which was intense to Caishen in his condition.

He dodged Biming's hand with an irritated look on his face. His legs were on fire, he was honestly not in any mood to be assisted.

He had been happy when feeling was restored to them but the pain was no longer a sweet reminder of recovery. It was simply that; pain.

"Just tell me what you found please."

Biming looked at the doctor first and then at Caishen. A sliver of mistrust which could not be hidden sparked in his eyes. What he was going to reveal was something meant for Caishen's ears only. Nobody could be trusted after the mercury poisoning incident.

It was not hard for Caishen to understand the situation and read Biming.

"Please excuse us doctor Chong." he turned to the middle aged doctor who was about to massage the injection site.

As soon as the doctor left, Biming first used an app on his phone to scan for any bugs. Nothing related to Caishen's safety was considered minor lately.

He sighed in relief and put his phone away. Then he opened the bag he had come with and took out an envelope with different images of the same man but clearer this time round.

"The man in the picture has been identified as Wang Yong."

"Uh-huh." Caishen responded slowly.

One by one, he brought the pictures closer to his eyes for observation, then he held them away from his face at a distance. He also turned them around, examining them in various angles.

"What do you see?" Biming asked him.

Caishen was good at noticing little things, whether it was related to his profession or simply because he liked to observe and study things was unknown.

All they knew was that it was rare for him to miss things.

He put the pictures down and looked at Biming expectantly. Whatever theories he had, he would not share as of yet.

"Go on." he told Biming.

Biming brought other documents from his bag and handed them over.

"He is twenty six years old and he owns an architecture firm, DAD architects. It's based in Hangzhou but last year they opened a branch here. No, technically they made this branch their main one and the one in Hangzhou is now a side branch.

He was interviewed for Rising Youth magazine last year, and they called him young, talented and hungry. He must be hungry indeed because he has swept up quite a few of our projects while you were indisposed.

Honestly, he is a bit talented, not like you though." he hurried to clarify.

"Oh, I run his name through our company database on a whim and guess what I found. He applied for a job with us three years ago but he was rejected. I don't know why but I intend to find out because if he is behind your accident then it cannot be an a coincidence that he is also interested in our company."

Caishen put down the documents and said to Biming, "Find me information on his parents."

Surprised, and confused Biming looked at Caishen for clarification.

"His parents." he said unsurely.

"Yes, especially his father. His biological father, I want to know everything that can be dug up on him. If he is alive I want a location immediately. Same thing if he is dead, make sure that this is a top priority."

After Biming left, Caishen pulled out an old picture of his father and looked at it with contemplation.

His wife, meanwhile was in the gaming world still and she had made it to Lumpour town and located Dark Death.

"Hello and what are we up to?"

She found the assasin crouching behind some rocks and watching a group of players engaged in a fight with a hoard of orcs that looked like pigs.

"Finally, you took so long that I was beginning to think you would never get here." She pulled Alix down to hide besides her.

"You left me a note on paper. Next time, send me a message. I sent you one and you are yet to reply." She responded.

"Oh." Dark death answered.

It was almost as if it was news to her that you could communicate using texts in the gaming world.

"Seriously!" Alix said in shock.

"The rules of the game warned players against fraternization and discussing personal details about the worlds we come from so I figured I would never use it. I didn't even activate my communication features." She whispered.

"Okay, so why are we here?" Alix whispered back.

The other's head peeped out from behind the rock and Alix followed suit.

"Every town in the city has a task hall. I came over and found us a simple task with a big reward. The task is to deliver rock sugar to the town mayor and the reward is a map of the path navigating the first layer of the dark wizards tower.

Just as I was about to accept it, that darn thief pushed me out of the way and stole it. " she explained.

"Okay." Alix replied.

The map was an important item, every little detail they could get their hands on was useful.

"So, why are the others here?"

Dark death smirked and she cackled.

"I spread the word about the map. As it turns out, the map goes to the one who delivers the rock sugar. It's an open task that is not specified to the one who accepts it."

Alix grabbed got a violin eagerly and looked out at the scuffling players who were fighting ruthlessly over a few barrels on the ground.

"What are we waiting for?" She whispered.

"Someone stole from us so I figure we can steal as well. I am waiting for them to exhaust themselves or kill each other and then we can strike."

"Great plan." Alix's eyes lit up and she stayed down low as well.

But while they were waiting, she figured she could try to fulfill her mission as well.

"Hey, have you joined a guild?"

Dark death shook her head.

"Excellent." Alix smiled, grabbed her hand and gave her a token with an azure dragon.

"Now we can be real teammates." She told her.
