Chapter 315: 315 Presence of a Celestial

[El’s POV: ]

There were many things we could have done to make the end of this epic even more interesting and exciting if we had waited a little longer for this whole thing.

’The strength, rank, and influence of an epic depends completely upon the start, the end, and the influence it gets as it spreads throughout the Worldline.’

There are times when the epics are very vast and long, going on for not days but years, and they are mostly called (Great Epics) that contains not just one person but many people and their separate stories that goes on in different parts of the epics.

’Largely though, there are only three kinds of epics in this world.’

General epics that belong to a certain group of people and coveres only a certain event, happening, or part of one’s journey.

Solo Epics are something that has only one protagonist and everything revolves around them, and then the Great epics that have many individuals with many different stories that, at the end, belongs to all of the people who had any contribution to it.

The more contribution to the Great story the more they couple use the powers that come with them.

’One’s own parts would be highlighted greatly in the Great epics but, we cannot create something like that in a small place like this.’

The large epics could only be created on special stages of the higher parts of the Worldline, or... one would have to stretch solo epics so much that it gets connected with too many people to just be counted as a simple solo epic.

’It’s possible, but still, not here.’

The goal was to create three epics, one with as a group, and the other two on our own.

We would be the main protagonists in the other two epics and they would belong to us alone... and they would be better than this one at least.

-Oooooooooooooooooong!

The house of Clubs had combat oriented units, but they weren’t solely focused on combat itself.

’The Apothecary, The Bugbreeder, A Handler and A Gambler. They were a versatile unit that was mostly created with the purpose of creating an influential team.’

People that can become a centre figure for the common people of this world, the people that could announce the presence of us, the ones who would soon rise in this world.

They were meant to be a start... and they did a great job at it overall.

[It happened right when the Great magic of the Elderlich, the core of the Fallen fortress of Avatika was going hit the captain of the group of challengers.]

They fought the monsters well, which made people shout at them since they had done better job at dealing with creatures outside, then they dealt with side bosses.

They almost died many times throughout these three days, but they were good enough to come out alive at the end of each battle, and even without help, they did a very good job dealing with the memory fragments that were considered the worst creatures of this dungeon.

[A light brighter than the first rays of the dawn overwhelmed the entire dark, destroyed, rune.]

They fought their battles and the world wrote their deeds, announcing them all to the masses of this entire world.

[All of them were confused for a moment... the blinding light was not something they knew anything about.]

The Elderlich was not a creature they could have been able to deal with on their own, but with a little help from us, with the artifacts and their own skills and understanding about those things, they employed all those things in a manner that produced results good enough to keep them alive.

’It was their ability to use all those things in a good manner that they were able to reach this place.’

And after they were here, it was also their ability to follow my commands that led them up to this point.

[But they knew instinctively... they knew that the light that had appeared out of nowhere, this warm and soothing light, was not something that threatened them.]

Friday was My summons.

He was a part of this group but no one knew much about him at all.

He was a being that was independent and had special privileges.

He could move on his own while ignoring the commands of the operator and their captain.

And thanks to him, many of them had survived deaths multiple times throughout this dungeon run.

’He was my summons and had no need to have any attachments to the rest of the team.’

But he still liked them.

Working with them.

Being with them and doing all the things that they do together.

He liked them, and seeing the state they were in, the point they all had reached with their own powers, as this was the last hurdle they had to overcome, he knew this was the time to reveal his final card.

{[ "No... how can a mortal... that power... NO!" ]}

[The celestial power of the divine bodies, a power exclusive to those who were beyond the confinements of the mortal world... a power only those higher beings could use, was being used by a mortal in this moment.]

He could not control it in the past since his stats weren’t high enough to control the power he was reborn with.

But things are different now.

[Hidden behind the mask of a joker, the protractor of this group that had contributed to this raid the most from shadows and from the light, he who they all admired silently, had revealed his identity as a Celestial.]

With his entire body covered in a unique light that gave a mane of light to his entire body, he floated in the air at the very back of their battlefield.

{[ "You can’t possess that power! No!" ]}

{[ "But I do possess it, poor inferior Undead." ]}

He was Friday.

My Friday.

The awakened slime that possessed Potential as a stat, a unique being that could learn anything in even less time than what we would need to learn that same thing.

He was Awakened with the scales of a Dragonlord and an original Phoenix as the main materials.

Something... Someone that possessed the powers of celestial beings even when he was only a commoner.

’My dear little baby...’

He had learned the language this bastard was using since the moment he spoke his first few words, he just did not want to use it during a fight where he could not reveal his true powers.

But now that he was using his unique skill, {Celestial transformation} he was ready to end this all...

{[ "You... how do you know this..." ]}

The creature had frozen in its place since the moment it recognised his celestial powers.

Which only made things easier for my baby boy.

{[ "The same way I know how to use this, dumb old thing." ]}

The current him could have taken down this creature on his own if he wanted to, but he would have had to die in the process.

’And he was strictly forbidden from doing anything that would kill him.’

His powers were also limited to sixty percent of his overall strength, so he was very vulnerable throughout this fight, but not anymore.

He conjured his {Skill Library}.

[In the wasteland created through their fierce battle, a blue translucent library was summoned.]

And the ancient creature recognised this skill instantly.

{[ "The Records of True Consciousness..." ]}

A skill only those who were closely connected with their world were granted as a token of their identity.

’His special identity as an awakened being who had achieved a complete synchronisation with this world.’

Something an undead like him that defied the laws of this nature could never achieve.

Friday used this skill, took out a few books that later materialised into spell circles, then he created a new spell circle that resembled the spells that the Lich had been using until now, and then combined them all into a three dimensional higher order magic.

’True magic...’

His {Mimicry} had gotten better after levelling up a little so he was able to recreate the complex spell of Elderlich easily... a fact that depressed the creature who had spent eons perfecting his magic.

But at the same time, seeing the kind of magic that Friday creatures at the end, a spell that contained the essence of all the elements he knew about in a perfect, absurd Harmony... he could not help but stare at it with astonishment in his burning eyes.

-Oooooooooooooooooong!

{[ "Don’t sell your identity in your next life." ]}

He learned it from me, the best of course.

It wasn’t something that could be blocked or countered or dealt with.

It was the ending spell that had once even killed the giant of fire in the Hades, the realm of combination.

[The Celestial looked at the Undead with pity in their eyes, their impeccable spell aimed at the Elder creature, a strange resentment towards heavens present in the heart of the Celestial.]

There was a reason this creature had been called Undead or Elderlich instead of a name like the previous sub-bosses of this dungeon even though he was an Awakened himself.

But he was the only one at fault here... he was greedy and he deserved what he was going to get now.

-Swish!

-Pammmmmmmm!

-Zaaaaaaaa...!

-Booooooooooooooooooooooooom!!!

The spell that materialised into a three dimensional structure, condensed into a single dot of light which shot at the speed of light, hit the lich right in its head, and set his entire existence aflame.

[He had accepted his death already, so even though its instincts screamed at him to run away from the small dot of light that had materialised in the air above him, he stayed there, with the fire in his eyes being the dimmest it had ever been throughout his entire life.]

’He was a dumb motherfucker.’

And he had hurt my little ones, so death was obviously what he was going to get.

[Golden flames started burning the last remaining existence of the elder Lich... and in these last moments, only regrets and sadness was left in his eyes.]

{[ "If I could have... I would have requested my master to free your souls like the rest of them as well." ]}

Friday reached the dying creature, and crouched down beside him.

{[ "But your Karmic Negativity and lack of identity was something that made only this end the best possible one for you." ]}

[The Celestial accompanied the pitiful, ambitious Undead in its last moment where he was seeing two distinct stars in the nearby sky above them.]

{[ "I see..." ]}

No one would have ever known about him anyway since his existence itself did not belong to him anymore.

That was the reason he was after their epic from the start... that was the reason he did all those things to them even though there was no need to.

{[ "It was their will..." ]}

[{ "Yes." ]}

[He wanted to cry tears of loneliness, sorrow, and joy in his last moments, but... he was an undead.]

The golden flames swallowed him whole and in those moments... the world listened to the last words of our first epic.

[As his existence was erased from this world as a result of the victory of the great, brave challengers... he could only extend his hands in an attempt to catch what he would never have... what he possessed already... and The existences that the world- yet- did not know about.]

Along with their work, the epic would end at that point.

But, the end of this Lucy bastard’s stream, the true end of this entire dungeon run that the people of this world wouldn’t know about, was still pending...

’They all would have to take a long rest before they are ready to go to the central main room.’

And while they are at it, we can deal with the collection stuff~!
