Wrong Love, Final Goodbye: She'll Never Look Back-Chapter 369: You Want to Drive Me Away, Don’t You?
She spoke, and Declan Pierce got up obediently, "Alright, Tanya and I will head out first."
He instructed Janne Hayes, who was standing by the door.
"Take care of Wynn. You don’t have to follow me today."
This sentence caused subtle changes in the expressions of everyone present, including Janne himself.
Janne was momentarily taken aback, and as if he hadn’t heard correctly, he asked for confirmation: "President Pierce, did you just say you want me to stay with Ms. Winslow?"
Janne has always been Declan Pierce’s right-hand man, rarely leaving his side.
If he were to follow Tanya Sinclair, it would be completely normal.
But Wynn Winslow...
Tanya Sinclair listened quietly, her expression calm, but her hand holding the bag unconsciously tightened.
Zion Monroe, normally carefree, was particularly perceptive in this area.
He immediately spoke up to ease the situation: "Brother Pierce, stop teasing Janne, the honest one. Someone as lively and dramatic as Winslow is just right to hang out with me!"
Declan Pierce’s expression remained calm, and he didn’t follow up on that statement.
He glanced at Jasper Monroe, "Let’s go."
Then he took Tanya Sinclair’s hand and walked out.
Janne remained where he was, not daring to follow.
Zion Monroe frowned, getting serious for once.
"What’s going on with Brother Pierce? Can’t he tell that Tanya isn’t happy?"
She was once so cherished, and now that a step was offered, it was kicked away...
Jasper Monroe adjusted his glasses on his nose and stood up.
"I have something to do later. I’m heading out now." He looked at Wynn Winslow, "The ancient painting your father asked me to take has been sent to your place. Don’t forget to take it with you when you leave."
Wynn obediently responded, "Alright."
She’s known the Monroe brothers since childhood, capable of kidding around with Zion Monroe but not daring to act out in front of Jasper Monroe.
As Jasper Monroe walked out, he caught a glimpse of Wynn bringing back the bowl of iced dessert that Declan had taken away and shoving a big spoonful into her mouth angrily.
She didn’t seem to be enjoying it; it was more like venting emotions.
Jasper Monroe looked away and suddenly understood something.
Ha...
He tugged at the corner of his mouth ever so slightly.
Declan Pierce really is someone who doesn’t even bother acting for women other than Tanya Sinclair.
Elsewhere.
Declan drove Tanya’s car back to Phoenix Court.
Tanya sat in the passenger seat, engrossed in her phone, chatting with Daisy Bell.
At the traffic light, Declan took a covert glance, seeing a sea of green.
Daisy really does have a lot to say.
He got distracted, reminiscing about university days when Daisy and Tanya would walk together, with Daisy chattering animatedly while Tanya quietly listened, occasionally amused...
His Tanya has family, has friends...
Declan gazed at Tanya’s serene profile, curling his lips slightly.
Just as he was about to look away, Tanya caught him in the act.
"Why are you smiling at me?"
Declan raised an eyebrow and said, "I feel happy."
He wasn’t sure how others fell in love, but seeing Tanya made him feel content.
Casually, Declan asked, "What are you and Daisy Bell talking about?"
"Her secrets. I can’t tell you."
Declan chuckled and didn’t pry further.
As they approached the next intersection, Tanya suddenly spoke, "Declan, I want you to go back to school with me."
Declan glanced at her, didn’t ask for details, just turned the steering wheel at the junction.
They arrived at the open-air parking lot near the university, and Tanya asked Declan to find a place to park.
"Cars from outside can’t enter the campus; let’s walk over."
Declan looked at the shoes on Tanya’s feet, which had a bit of a heel, and he wasn’t sure if they were comfortable for walking.
"Don’t worry, my shoes are fine. Besides, I want to take a walk with you around here." Tanya looked up at him, smiled slightly, and with a touch of regret in her voice, said, "Back in university, I couldn’t like you. I felt it was a pity not to stroll around with you."
She had missed out on him for too many years.
Declan’s gaze deepened, locking onto her intensely, emotions so heavy they nearly spilled over.
He reluctantly looked away and found a corner to park the car.
Winter break was just a few days away.
It was exam week, and the bustling street outside the university wasn’t too crowded today. But the shops were all open.
Tanya headed straight to a small shop selling frozen yogurt.
"Owner, one blueberry, please..."
She hadn’t finished her sentence before Declan pulled her back.
"Eating something cold in the middle of winter?" He frowned slightly, "Your stomach isn’t that strong."
Tanya blinked, "Done controlling Wynn, and now you’re controlling me?"
Upon hearing that, Declan squinted his deep eyes slightly, "You’re jealous? I only consider her a sister..."
This comment even caught the attention of the yogurt shop’s owner.
"Oh, come on, what’s all this brother-sister stuff? If a decent person doesn’t have a real brother, they’ll have a cousin! Who goes out there looking for a ’brother’? Handsome, with a face like yours, don’t be a jerk!"
Declan’s face turned a bit sour from the scolding, while Tanya couldn’t help but laugh.
"Boss, please make me a blueberry one."
Unable to hold her back, Declan could only scan the code to pay.
Tanya had just taken a bite when Declan took the whole box away.
"A taste is enough."
Tanya looked at Declan’s handsome face, stared at him for a long time, and suddenly reached out and pinched his face.
"Declan, has anyone ever told you, your acting skills are terrible... absolutely terrible."
Declan’s dark eyes flickered slightly.
Tanya sighed softly, her eyes filled with tender, silent heartache.
"To make me jealous and angry, you need to really care about that person. If you really cared about Wynn, you wouldn’t want her to eat anything cold, and that bowl of dessert wouldn’t be on the table."
Just like now, when he doesn’t want her to eat something cold, he naturally finds a way to stop her.
Declan Pierce has always been someone who speaks little but does a lot.
Tanya looked at him, and without reason, her nose started to sting, "Declan, I know what you’re trying to do. You’re worried your health won’t improve, you’re worried... you won’t live long, so you want to push me away, right?"
