Chapter 351: Caught off guard

[Levi’s Perspective]

The roaring sound of the helicopter made me incredibly irritable, I looked down at the bloodied Henry on the ground, and the anxiety and anger in my heart felt like they were going to engulf me completely.

"Levi, you have to figure out a way to save His Highness—he’s... he’s about to die! To hell with all your damn theories, if it wasn’t for you, His Highness wouldn’t have attended that sham of an auction and wouldn’t have run into Donald and his crew there!"

The one loudly chastising me in front of the entire cabin was Henry’s long-time capable assistant Aiden, his eyes red as if they were about to drip blood the next moment!

I lifted my eyes to look at him, coldly curled the corner of my mouth, but didn’t respond to him.

Even Henry wouldn’t yell at me so rudely; Aiden, a mere assistant, dared to speak to me like this—I think the failure today has driven this group of people mad.

"Why aren’t you speaking? I told you to think of a way to save our prince. If anything untoward happens to His Highness this time, you should know what the MASTER’s capable of, and she won’t let you off either..."

"Shut your goddamn mouth!"

I exploded, sternly interrupting Aiden’s ’threat’, looked at him coldly with the pistol in my hand pointed directly at his throat, "How I deal with it is my business. Who the hell are you to talk to me like that?"

Perhaps my argument with Aiden was too intense, for a moment nobody in the cabin dared to speak up, or to make any superfluous movements, and the cabin was filled only with the sounds of propeller rotation and the engine’s roar!

Seeing Aiden bite down on his molars and say no more, I sneered, put away the gun, and ignoring the anger in his eyes, I scornfully continued, "He’s not dead yet, is he? If you keep wasting my time with your words, he really will die. That we were able to rescue him from Donald and Gino today, that’s because we were quick to react, so spare me all that crap!"

"Besides, doesn’t he love tinkering with those strange gadgets? Just give him a shot or something, it’s not as if he’s short of one or two."

Having said that, I let out a heavy breath, the sarcastic smile on my face growing larger, and without any pause, I looked at Aiden and continued, "I’ve been meaning to say, you don’t still think this is the Werewolf Royal City, do you? Repeatedly calling him ’His Highness’, how can you bear to say that? Donald is probably itching for him to die, doesn’t that make Henry’s title as Prince a joke? I advise you and your men to stop pressing that Prince authority on me—I, Levi, don’t buy it!"

"Don’t say I didn’t warn you, in the Lilo Sea, you still need my help. As for Poison Snake Island, she wouldn’t completely disregard my face either, you’d best remember that."

These Lycan under Henry are too arrogant, if you don’t do something to suppress their spirit, I always feel that they will eventually walk all over me!

Of course, I don’t actually want Henry to die—my subsequent series of plans all require his assistance; this was something we had agreed upon earlier.

I have to admit, Henry really does have an exceptionally smart brain, at least in the research of potions, no one can compare to him.

And of course, utterly heartless as well.

Remembering the scenes I had previously seen in his underground laboratory, goosebumps appeared on the skin under my suit, and a wave of nausea surged within me.

I suddenly became curious as to whether his group of crazed followers would feel a conflict within if they saw his ’masterpieces’, and whether the image of his holiness and purity would still remain convincing.

"Alpha, have you thought of something?" asked a werewolf sitting opposite me, timidly, his face showing a mix of fear and trepidation.

I looked at him with a smile, raising my eyebrows in good humor, "Nothing much, just remembered some interesting matters. How much longer till we fly over this sea area, and is there a boat from Poison Snake Island coming to meet us? If we delay any further, I’m afraid our MASTER really won’t last much longer!"

The latter part of my statement was directed at the pilot in the cockpit; he wasn’t one of mine or Henry’s men, but someone specially sent from Poison Snake Island to meet us.

I don’t know if that woman has the ability to foresee the future, but we owe our narrow escape from Donald’s clutches today to her prudence.

Donald’s action in hunting down Henry from the south was really swift; I had prepared for the Sant Angelo event for so long, so secretly, yet he managed to expose it at the last moment, the thought of it itches my teeth with hatred.

Thinking of this, I exhaled, if it weren’t for Henry’s keen perception, noticing their disguise in advance, I really don’t know if we could have made it back alive tonight...

"It won’t be long, Mr. Levi, about another 40 minutes or so. Someone from the island will come directly to meet us, please be assured!" 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢

The werewolf piloting the helicopter responded solemnly, turning to glance at Henry lying on the ground, he thought for a moment and then added, "I think it would be wise to tend to Mr. Henry’s wounds first. If the MASTER sees him like this, she is likely to be quite displeased. You wouldn’t want to see that scene, would you?"
