Dimensional Streamer: Infinite Views in Another World-Chapter 34: Quest
Talking with ladies wasn’t Noa’s strongest suit.
If it were him a week ago, he would have avoided conversing with women altogether—especially a beautiful girl like Clara.
However, his previous life was no more.
Now he had no reason to decline the offer and gave her a soft nod. "Sure. Why not?"
Hearing this, Clara narrowed her eyes.
She didn’t think Noa would say yes. On top of that, he missed the perfect opportunity to deliver more jokes about her age.
Not thinking too much about it, she left the table and paid for her coffee.
Noa saw her actions but said nothing. He just walked beside her, accompanying her to her car.
As she was about to reach for the handle, however, Noa stopped her. "I am also with my car," he said casually, nodding towards the sleek Aston Martin parked a few feet away from her Mercedes-Benz.
Clara froze mid-motion. "That’s yours?" she asked in surprise.
It was clear she hadn’t expected Noa to drive an expensive car like that.
Yes, she had seen how he paid a couple of thousand dollars for a simple meal, but now he even owned property worth more than two hundred thousand dollars.
Noa, however, didn’t seem to mind her reaction.
"Unless someone parked the same model to impress you," he said, chuckling.
Clara covered her mouth with her hand. Then she giggled softly. "Well then, I changed my mind. You are driving. I am the one paying for the dinner after all."
"Of course, I am more than willing to give MILF a free ride. Please have a seat. I will ensure the ride meets your expectations."
With a smirk still dancing on his face, Noa unlocked the car.
Throwing an amused look at him, she added, "Continue with that attitude, and I will make you pay for the steak, too."
"Don’t worry," Noa said with exaggerated courtesy and opened the passenger door for her. "I am a gentleman. Only for MILFs, though."
Clara’s amused expression didn’t change.
She just shook her head, didn’t make any attempts to hide her smile, and slid into the car.
Noa quickly circled the car and sat beside her.
The Aston Martin purred to life, its low hum turning heads everywhere it went.
Clara looked comfortable.
For a moment, her gaze lingered on a quiet street. The cold breath made her blond hair flutter, making her face even more unruly. "Turn left here," she said calmly.
It was clear she knew the city better than Noa.
He didn’t even know the place she was taking him. So he drove in silence.
Strangely, it was pleasant to both of them. Neither of them felt the need to fill it with empty words, letting the silence speak instead.
The stillness held until Clara had to give occasional instructions.
But overall, the drive was pleasant.
Finally, when the restaurant’s golden building came into view, Noa glanced at her. For a moment, he locked eyes with her. Yet, his expression still crumbled, and a smirk appeared on his face. "Thanks for being a good Passenger Princess."
"Passenger Princess?" Clara exclaimed, blinking. "You are hopeless."
Noa, expecting an answer like that, let his smile widen. "And you are welcome."
Having said that, he looked back on the road and parked the car, while also drawing envious looks from the passersby.
Still, almost every car nearby was hella expensive.
He even noticed a couple of Ferraris and Lamborghinis.
Ahead, the restaurant stood tall, all glass walls and elegant facades screamed luxury and refinement.
’It’s fitting for her,’ he thought, opening the door for Clara.
The woman offered him a hand and exited with grace, drawing even more attention than Noa’s car did. "It’s been a while since I have been here," she muttered, nostalgia flashing through her eyes.
Greeting the valet waiting at the entrance, Noa stretched.
It was his first time visiting a place of this caliber. Clearly, it would have at least one Michelin star.
So he wanted to be confident.
He might seem to be exuding confidence, but Noa still needed time to get used to this luxurious lifestyle. Thankfully, he had great company for that.
With practiced elegance, Clara slipped her hand through his arm. Her touch was light and warm.
The gesture surprised Noa.
Yet he quickly regained his composure and adjusted his posture.
Together, they walked in silence. To outsiders, they looked like a rich couple going out for an expensive meal, and for the first time in his life, Noa didn’t feel out of place.
Thinking he had to lift the mood, he joked, his voice smooth and teasing. "Careful, if you stay this close to me, people might think you are my wife."
Clara didn’t back down.
She, too, was in a mood for jokes, her voice sounding more mischievous. "Better than thinking I am your MILF."
Savoring the banter, Noa chuckled.
A minute later, they found an empty seat.
The waitress dressed in a blue suit reached them quickly. She placed two menus on a pristine tablecloth.
As Noa took the menu, he noticed that there were no prices written on it. On top of that, he couldn’t even recognize a single dish.
Clara, meanwhile, didn’t care about the menus.
She already knew what to order. "I will have the Magret de Canard à l’Orange," she said in perfect French. "And a glass of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, please."
The waitress nodded politely and turned towards Noa.
’Damnation.’
But he had no idea what to order. The words were too hard to read in his head, let alone say them aloud. ’Do I have to start learning new languages?’ he thought and looked at Clara, asking her for help.
The woman, however, wasn’t hiding her amusement.
She didn’t immediately help him either, letting the silence stretch for a minute.
Finally, she turned towards the waitress and repeated the same thing.
"What’s that?" Noa asked as if nothing had happened.
"Steak," Clara answered.
She looked to be in a great mood, her lips twitching in pleasure.
"Good," Noa answered, nodding. "I can speak Steak. French, not so much." Then he leaned closer to the woman, about to ask something to get to know her better.
