What Do You Mean I'm The Captain Of A Yandere Mercenary Company?-Chapter 820: Testing Dome

We moved to another location for them to do the testing, which was located in a rather secluded section of the station far away from everything else.

Specifically, they called it the Testing Dome and they claimed that it would be safer for us to continue their little experiment.

I noted that we had to move through a long corridor to reach there and I realised that it was designed in such a way that the place we were heading to could be detached from the station entirely if needed to.

I guess it’s in case things went out of hand in that Testing Dome, they could just separate it from the station and let it drift away into space without affecting the rest of the station.

When we entered the place, I realised that it was actually just a larger version of the same facility that Theresa had made us use for the job interview. The same one where we had that physical simulator to simulate piloting the Exo-Knights.

While the one we had used back on that station was already pretty big in size, this one was at least ten times bigger.

If it wanted to, it could probably simulate several full sized Exo-Knights so I assume that this was what the place was used for.

But I guess the fact that since the place was designed to withstand a lot of structural stress, it was the perfect place for me to test out my abilities without worrying about me breaking something.

The girls all gathered at the viewing platform while I stood in the centre of the dome.

Rosalia needed some time to set up and calibrate the machine so I was left standing there for some time before it was ready to go.

Rosalia’s voice came from the intercom, "Alright, miss Tera!! Go ahead and give your best shot! Let me know if you need anything to help you!"

I raised an eyebrow, "Are you asking me to do what I did back at the previous location? Are you sure this is going to be alright?"

Rosalia chuckled, "Ahahaha! No need to worry! This place is designed to let us test out all the dangerous weapons we can make too! We’ve set off plenty of explosions here and the place is still intact!"

I don’t know if I should be flattered or worried that I’m basically in the same category as an explosive device...

Though I suppose I can’t say much considering what happened to their lab earlier...

"I don’t know... I could just limit the amount of Psionic energy I’m releasing though? That would help, right?"

Friederike disagreed, "No. We want you to show us your full power. That way we will have the numbers to know what kind of Exo-Knight we have to design in order to match your ability. We are not going to make something that can only work because you handicap yourself."

I’m guessing that’s their pride as a creator speaking...

Anyway... Trusting her for now, I let out a breath and did the same thing where I lifted my self imposed limiter once again.

I made sure to warn Renata this time before I did so in order to prepare her for it. Otherwise... She might suddenly melt again and I don’t fancy needing to explain to them about the eldritch being I was using as my clothes who happens to call me ’Daddy’.

Damn... I have such weird circumstances...

I felt the metaphorical weight lift off my shoulders again and the same feeling washed over me.

Like before, the warm feeling of being wrapped in a blanket enveloped me right before sparks appeared from the ground close to my feet.

The ground started to sink but since it was made up of those individual cubes, it wasn’t like I was destroying it. It felt more like the cubes were being repelled by me and they formed a crater to accommodate me instead.

Thankfully, I was already levitating or it might have been a rather embarrassing sight if I were to end up falling into the hole.

I was a little worried that things might start going haywire but aside from electrical sparks striking the ground from time to time while arcing around me, nothing else happened.

I’m still wondering what is even causing this to happen to begin with...

I would have liked to see how the girls were reacting but the viewing platform was located outside the dome itself and they were watching from behind a one way glass so I couldn’t actually see them.

"How’s the readings?" I asked, looking around the dome, wondering if I actually blew up the sensors like the last one.

But when there was no response for a good few seconds, I panicked, thinking I might have destroyed the intercom system or fried it somehow.

Just as I was thinking of dampening my Psionic energy again, Rosalia’s voice came from the intercoms again.

"This... This is amazing!! Oh my gods!! Miss Tera!! Do you even realise the amount of Psionic energy you’re exuding is basically mmnnggghhh!!!"

Her voice was suddenly cut off as though her mouth got covered up by something.

Sounds of struggle came from the other side and I was just about to fly up to check on them before Freiderike’s voice took her place.

"Apologies for that, Miss Tera. The readings are phenomenal. The sensors are also working fine as well so just go ahead and do your thing. Would you like to have some targets as well?"

I nodded at the air, "Yes please. Otherwise I wouldn’t even know what to do."

There was a pause before several cubes rose up from the ground and formed into human sized versions of Exo-Knights.

All of them were unarmed, probably because they were afraid that they might accidentally hurt me or something, despite the fact that I was a Psionic.

I guess despite this revelation, they were still treating me like a precious tester... Or a test subject.

Either way... This is also the first time I’m doing this with my Psionic energy unleashed do I’m also curious what I could do.

My targets slowly floated themselves towards me so I reached out my hand intending to send them flying back.

I barely even needed to exert much mental force before the entire group of enemies were flung back to crash into the wall, hard enough to shake the entire dome.

Oh good... I was afraid to use too much force since I might accidentally make them smash through the wall so I limited my strength as much as I could.

If I had to compare, it would be akin to me just trying to flick my finger at someone instead of shoving them with my entire hand.

The wall absorbed the impact and the enemies broke apart into cubes to be absorbed into the wall, the entire dome undulating to disperse the impact before it spat out another human sized Exo-Knight.

I reached out my hand to concentrate on the new enemy, this time trying exert my telekinetic will over the target to try and move it around.

The Exo-Knight stopped moving almost immediately and I now had total control over its movements.

I made it spin around like a spinning top before making it revolve around me then broke it into two before sending it flying away.

The two halves crashed into the wall and were absorbed into it as well, all of that with minimal effort from me.

They spat out another one, this one at least twice the size of the previous one and it was even armed with what looked like a club this time.

It tried to speed towards me so I stopped it in midair, freezing it in place.

I was thinking of trying to crush it and I concentrated on the enemy in front of me, exerting more and more of my mental will over it.

Right as I was about to reach a threshold which I believe would have crushed it, Rosalia’s voice came from the intercom again.

"Miss Tera!! Stop, stop!! That’s enough already! You’re going to break something if you continue that!! We can stop now!"

Eh? Oh... Err... I think I got a little carried away... I guess the cubes aren’t immune to being crushed or something.

I flew over to the exit after restricting my Psionic energy again and instead of walking there, I decided to float there instead.

I reached the viewing platform and I found the two researchers frantically tapping away on their screens.

"This... This is insane!! All this data... Oh my gosh... There’s so much we can do!!"

I cleared my throat, "I’m hoping you would keep your promise in keeping this data secret."

"Of course! Don’t worry about it, Miss Tera! Once we’re done, we’ll definitely scrub the database clean of them!!"

"Good... Because we have two more Psionics that you would need to make Exo-Knights for."

The two of them froze before I gestured in the direction of Amber and Mara.

In response, both of them floated themselves up into the air.

Rosalia and Friederike stared at them for a good long minute... Before they promptly fell backwards and fainted.

Hmm... Maybe I should have done it one by one instead?
